This bachelor’s thesis includes the design and programming of a self made position control system for a pleasure boat, also known as an electronic anchor.
The intention is to facilitate recreational fishing by replacing a traditional anchor.
The goal is to design an affordable system in comparison to existing products that controls steering angle and throttle on a conventional trolling motor, in such a way that a locked position can be maintained as accurately as possible.
The product has been tested and evaluated with practical experiments. Enhancement proposals are taken up based on experiences from these experiments.
