Tiivistelmä
Kehittämishankkeen tarkoituksena onselvittää, minkälaisia työelämälähtöisiä koulutuksia Aikuisopiston eri yksiköissä järjestetään, miten ohjauksen kolmeen vaiheen henkilökohtaistaminen on toteutettu näiden koulutusten sisällä, ja mitkä ohjaukseen liittyvät asiat nähdään tulevaisuuden kehittämishaasteina. The goal of this development project is to find out what kind of work-life oriented education is being arranged at the different departments of the Jyväskylä Institute of Adult Education, how the three stages of guidance and counselling are being taken care of in this education and what guidance-relatedissues are seen as the major development challenges in the future. The theoretical framework is formed by the principles of guiding the learning process of an adult learner. These principles are looked at through the basics of personalizing guidance and counselling in qualification-oriented vocational education and the guidance practices developed through the work-lifeoriented educational model provided by a project called Educational models for people in working life. The empirical data of the development project consists of the experiences and practices of the teachers at the Jyväskylä Institute of Adult Education in providing personalized guidance in work-life oriented education. The results of the development project show that the different departments of the Jyväskylä Institute of Adult Education provide versatile work-life oriented educational models for the needsof work communities and organizations. In addition to different levels of qualification-oriented studies, the contents and methods of education are developed into carefully thought-out packages to match the needs of the customers' professional needs. Personalizing guidance was considered a major challenge, which in turn helps to devise instructions for the guidance process in qualification-based and other types of education and training. The most challenging issues and the issues in most urgent need of development were, among other things, the following: providing guidance for distance learning students, planning education on a more long-termbasis and supporting individual guidance at the applying stage. In completing the competence-based qualification stage the major challenges were being able to react to the differing study skills and needs of the students, developing peer guidance and improving relations with working life. In the stage of acquiring the required professional skills the most challenging issues were considered to be guidance resources, accreditation of prior knowledge, proper orientation of work places and how to have them commit themselves to the educational contents and the competence-based test process.
