Tiivistelmä
Sammanfattning
Examensarbetet behandlar naturhänsynsgranskningarna i Metsäliitto Vasa distrikts norra delar.
Summary
This thesis considers how the natural aspects of forestry are implemented at Metsäliitto Osuuskunta in the northern region of the Vaasa district. In my work I have tried to conclude if Metsäliitto´s consideration of natural aspects in forestry meets the requirements of the Finnish Forestry Centre. The most important question in my work was if the consideration of natural aspects at Metsäliitto Osuuskunta differs from that of the other actors in the foresty sector of Finland.
The study is based on the environmental consideration values of The Finnish Forestry Centre, in which the terms of the forest use are presented.
My results conclude that the natural aspects at Metsäliito Osuuskunta do meet the requirements, and in consultation with the Ostrobothnian Forestry Centre these results were confirmed as they match the result of all actors in this region. In an effort to make the results even better, improvements can be made in the marking of the clear cutting areas and the natural objects found on in the clear cutting areas. Other improvements can be made in the marking and placement of natural resource trees. The amount of deep tracks made on the forest floor by the harvesters and skidders could also be reduced. Due to fact that these results match those of the other actors in the region, these improvements could be implemented by them as well.
