The reason why I chose to write about generation change in limited companies, is that Fur farm X Ltd wanted to know which alternatives they have and what the taxation consequences of the different alternatives would be. In this thesis the focus is on the transferee and the aim is to find out which alternative that would be least expensive for him. This thesis describes the different alternatives of generation change in limited companies and how they are carried through in practice. The content of the theory also covers the taxation which has to be taken into consideration and also which possibilities for different economical support the transferee has since his company will be a fur farm. The case study shows that there are big differences between the different alternatives when it comes to taxation. The result shows that for the transferee of this company, the least expensive alternative would be if he would establish a new company which would receive the assets of the Fur farm x as a pure gift.
