Tiivistelmä
The main purpose of the thesis is to provide the commissioning company with a development plan on how to utilize social media effectively in order to better serve the company as well as the consumers.
In order to develop the operational plan, two research methods have been conducted. These methods are a survey and a benchmarking analysis. The aim of the survey is to discover the utilization of social media among the current customers of the commissioning company whereas the benchmarking analysis aims to discover the utilization of social media among small sized tourism businesses.
With the assistence of these two methods, the development plan has been conducted. This particular plan includes certain directions and improvement possibilities which the commissioning company should focus and concentrate on.
