Tiivistelmä
This functional research examines hairdressers’ working environment safety, which has an impact on their working well-being. The target group of the research are hair professionals and students. The aim of this study is to examine with different methods which are the main risk factors in the hairdressers’ working environment. The researching method is a case study that has been carried out using telephone interviews, as well as a network inquery. A business development tool has been used to find out the company's value proposition and achieved added value.
The achieved results can be used to improve hairstylists’ working environment safety by using the methods of the risk management, as well as to develop their professional skills. The result of the study will be published also in the network as an electronic safety guide for hairdressers.
A safe working environment is an important part of the work in the hair industry. The professionals should also be able to demonstrate an awareness of the factors affecting to the safety of their working environment. The information which is electronically available makes the data acquisition quick and easy. Safety information concerning the hair industry is not currently available in electronic form. The electronic guide works well both in business and in vocational schools as a teaching material.
