Opinnäytetyömme tavoitteena oli kartoittaa mikä on kriisiperhehoitajan tuen ja koulutuksen tarve ja mikä on hänen osuutensa sijoitetun lapsen sekä hänen vanhempiensa tilannetta arvioivassa tiimissä.

Aineistoa opinnäytetyöhömme keräsimme kvalitatiivisella kyselytutkimuksella. Kysely lähetettiin kolmellekymmenelle kriisiperhehoitajana toimivalle henkilölle. Kyselyyn vastasi neljätoista kriisiperhehoitajaa, ja heiltä saadut vastaukset ovat opinnäytetyömme perustana. Kyselyyn vastanneet 14 henkilöä olivat työskennelleet kriisiperhehoitajina puolesta vuodesta yli viiteen vuoteen.

Johtopäätöksenä voi sanoa, että aika, jona henkilö oli kriisiperhehoitajana toiminut, vai-kutti saatuihin vastauksiin. Lyhyemmän aikaa työskennelleiltä saaduista vastauksista välittyi tietynlainen epävarmuus uuden tehtävän edessä, ja tuen tarpeen he kokivat suu-remmaksi kuin yli viisi vuotta alalla työskennelleet. Selkeästi tuli esille se, että perehdy-tyksen suhteen kriisiperhehoitajien tarpeet vaihtelivat paljon.  Lyhyemmän aikaa työs-kennelleistä suurin osa koki saadun perehdytyksen hyväksi, pidemmän aikaa työsken-nelleet kokivat, että eivät olleet saaneet työhönsä perehdytystä. Johtopäätöksissä olem-me käsitelleet kriisiperhetoiminnan tulevaisuuden haasteita, jotka saaduista vastauksista nousivat esiin. Tärkeimpänä niistä nousivat esille koulutuksen ja perehdytyksen kehit-tämistarpeet ja erityisesti tarve havainnointiin liittyvään perehdytykseen ja ohjaukseen.

Kriisiperhetyö opinnäytetyön aiheena antoi paljon. Pohdintaosuudessamme kerromme ideoitamme mahdolliseen jatkotyöskentelyyn, toivomme että samasta aihepiiristä tehtäi-siin vielä opinnäytetyö, jotta kriisiperhetoiminnalle saisi näkyvyyttä. Kriisiperhetoimin-ta on toimintamuotona melko uusi ja tiedon lisääminen tästä työstä on tarpeen.

The aim of this thesis was to examine what kind of support and studies family workers need for their work. Another aim was to find out what kind of role a family worker has in evaluating a child’s living circumstances along with the staff from the Social Services.

We used a questionnaire to collect material to this thesis. The questionnaire was sent by e-mail to thirty family workers functioning as crisis workers in their families. Fourteen of them responded to it. Individuals who completed the questionnaire had worked from six months to over five years as family worker.

The main results and conclusions were that the length of the time that the individual had worked as a family worker influences the answers. Those who had worked for a shorter time gave an impression that new situations with work made them feel insecure. They also felt that they needed more support than those who had worked over five years. It was therefore clear that the family workers thought that they needed more guidance on their work.

Working with this thesis has given us a lot. We considered some of our thoughts and ideas and described them in our conclusions. One of our propositions is that another thesis on same subject would increase the knowledge of the short–term family work and the need of guidance for the work.
