The purpose of this study was to develop the plan and instructions to a new model of execution for the development discussion to the town of Lieksa. The strategy 2030 has been accepted in government in June 2018. The aim of this study was to find out if it is possible to development discussion to put this strategy in practise. At the same time it was estimated whether it is useful to emphasise the importance of dialogue in discussions. This study was carried out as an action research and constructive reasearch and the data collection method was a questionnaire/survey sent to the people in charge of profit centers in Lieksa. The inquiry survey was made with Webropol. There were open questions in the inquiry survey, so it gave very important information to this study. In the theoretical background the strategic human resource management, work welfare, knowledge management, manageral, management coaching and dialogue in development discussions were covered. The result of this study it was a form of dialogue development discussion, which is put to use during the spring of 2018. In this new model of development discussion the dialogy in interaction and the fields where the strategy will be put in to practise are highlighted. In this study it was realized that the people who in charge of the profit centers consider digital discussion very important. So this possibility was important to find out. One of the main critical success factors in Siun sote’s strategy is improving digitalization. The thesis is based on the strategy and its main objective was to promote the development of virtual communication management. Another goal was to bring a new kind of vision in network management culture and introduce development ideas for the implementation of a sosial intranet from a management point of view. As a provincial, decentralized organization, there are challenges in ensuring equal and proper flow of information inside the organization. The aim was emphasize the benefits of a social intranet in the organization's effectiveness, transparency and collectiveness spirit, through increased communication, in all management levels. The approach of R & D is a mix of action research and case studies and it was carried out by using the triangulation method. Research methods include a literature review, a survey and a theme interview (benchmarking.) The results indicate that Siun sote’s management and superiors are ready for the cultural change of virtual leadership communication through a social intranet that supports more open interaction, collective problem solving, and transparent information in the right time and right place. As a follow-up topic, is suggest either following studies in social intranet's profitability in remote management, change management and knowledge management or the importance of information and inclusive communication for well-being at work....

The purpose of this study was to develop a customer-orientated applying process for the North Karelia Municipal Education and Training Consortium. The new operating model is required due to the reform of vocational education and training (VET) in 2018, which will change the current financing model, policies and legislation. Vocational education and training for young people and adults will also be consolidated. In addition, the organizational change in North Karelia Municipal Education and Training Consortium required development and harmonization of the operational processes in applying. At the beginning of 2018, independent colleges will be merged, forming a single institution, Riveria. The study was carried out as an action research. The methods used in data collection were inquiry, interviews and group interviews. The theoretical frameworks in this study were describing and developing of the processes, customer’s value creation in services and legislation of vocational education and training. The developing of the process and value creation was studied from the perspective of an applicant. The financial sector is changing drastically because of digitalization, competition crossing the domestic borders and accelerating change of customer behaviour. Utilizing of digitalization in business demands strong digital skills and this demand is directed at both individual and organization levels. The importance of proactive detection of demand to change, quick learning and ability to introduce new things smoothly has become even more highlighted. The aim of this thesis was to improve the skills of current personnel. The personnel can then exploit digital services and tools, electronic agreements, online meetings and digital communality in customer service effectively and fluently as a part of their daily routines. The aim of this thesis was to make a plan of development for the organization and its workers, and to follow the fulfillment of the plans to ensure the improvement of skills. This thesis was executed as a qualitative action research and the methods of data acquisition were theme interview, document analysis and observation. In the interviews became clear that there was a wide dispersion of skills. Everybody was motivated to improve their skills even though the demand of skills by digitalization caused anxiety in some. Feedback has an important role in learning in organization, so studying and developing it on the object organization became one possible topic for future research....

The Thesis investigates the level of knowledge the employees of OP-Prosessipalvelut, Joensuu – the commiossioner of the study – have about organisational citizenship behavior skills and how these could be developed within the organisation in the future. The ultimate purpose of the study was to create a theoretical framework that can utilised by the management of OP-Prosessipalvelut to aid, for example, the employees’ professional development discussions. Qualitative research methods were chosen for the study. 10 employees were interviewed in a two group-interviews. The specific topics explored during the interview included the overall understanding of the concept of people organizational behavior and role of the trust, motivation and commitment as part of organizational behavior skills. As theoretical framework has been created on the basis of the research findings that can be utilised by the management of OP-Prosessipalvelut. The reform of vocational education and training in 2018 will change the current legislation, finances and policies. During transition in the workplace, communication, interaction and feedback are of significant importance. Feedback has a strong effect on how the personnel manage work-related stress, how they develop themselves and how they take care of their work wellbeing. The purpose of this study was to find out the present state of superior–subordinate interaction, communication and feedback practises and to provide proposals on how to develop communication and feedback in the workplace. The results of the yearly working conditions survey show there is a need to develop the practices in communication and feedback between the superiors and subordinates. This thesis was carried out as an action research and the material was collected using theme interviews. Both the superiors and the subordinates were interviewed in the study. The results on the study indicate firstly how important trust is between the superiors and the subordinates. The lack of trust discourages the subordinates from giving feedback. Secondly, it is also found that the word ‘feedback’ means different things to different people. Thirdly, the study shows that the subordinates find feedback in everyday situation to be the most important method of giving feedback to the superiors. Fourthly, the subordinates find it important that there is a system which makes it possible to give feedback anonymously in the workplace. In the future it would be interesting to conduct a wider study on the relationship between working community skills and how superiors succeed in their work....

Robotic process automation is a new, quickly developing technology which seems to have a big influence on working on different levels of an organization. The successful deployment requires devoting to change management, systematic progress and pains-taking procurement preparations. Defence Forces’ Shared Services Centre needs to make the most of this technology in suitable processes to keep up with the competition. The practical work improvement aims of this thesis were to find out the robotic process automation background along with formulating the public procurement material and the proceeding plan. Qualitative scientific methods were used in this case study in order to receive profound information. The themes of the framework were robotic process auto-mation, measuring, public procurement and leadership. Validity was forced by linking the results to these themes. In functional development, reliability means foremost usa-bility. The results and formulated material can be utilized both within the target organi-zation and other government operators. In the future artificial intelligence will have a big influence on robotic process automa-tion. The best and validated alternatives to improve operations have to be found in the present and upcoming technologies....
