In this thesis, agile methods refer to different development frameworks, such as Lean, Scrum or Agile. Agile methods are used to systemize organization’s workflow by visualization, structuring and standardizing. Along with efficiency, agile methods are used to improve work wellbeing and transparency in workflow organization. The theoretical framework of the thesis consists of theories on agile methods but also a wide range of themes of organizational culture and change management. The objective of this qualitative case study was to investigate the usage of agile methods in the T3 sector of the Finnish State Treasury and compare the received results to the objectives given by the management. The current situation in agile methods was evaluated by Webropol survey and compared to agile objectives given by branches management. As the final outcome, the thesis contributed to the understanding of the current state of agility in the T3 sector and of the needs to change towards agile work methods and processes....

Remote work increased significantly during the Coronavirus pandemic. It caused pressure in companies to review company routines and practices. Especially, the management practices had to be reviewed and updated to suit the new situation. The aim of this thesis was to find out how well remote work has been managed and whether occupational wellbeing had been achieved during remote work. Another objective was to find solutions on how remote work management could be developed from the perspective of occupational wellbeing. The thesis was carried out as a qualitative study. Data for the study was collected using an electronic survey. The survey was addressed to the staff working in personal customer financing of Helsinki Area Cooperative Bank. The analysis of the research material revealed the respondents' experiences with remote work, its management and the effects that remote work had had on work well. The results of the survey supported the previously collected data base. With the help of the thesis, Helsinki Area Cooperative Bank is able to know of the success of remote work management and its effects on perceived wellbeing at work from the perspective of the personnel. The thesis presents the most important points that the company should pay attention to in the future. The thesis also presents development ideas on how remote work management, especially pertaining work wellbeing, could be improved....

Abstract The aim of the study was to develop knowledge management at Palkeet by designing and defining Handi-dashboard for the service production. The objective was to investigate what kind of information and features were wanted for and reasonable to implement in Handi-dashboard. Individual and group interviews were conducted to design the dashboard as useful as possible for employees of the service production. A successfully designed dashboard would enhance the quality of work by helping the organization and prioritization of work assignments. In addition, it would make it easier for the employees to follow up on the results of their work and to foresee their following workload. The study is a constructive case study which results in a concrete output. Interview material was analysed qualitatively using content analysis. The dashboard was designed based on the findings of the analysis. Microsoft PowerPoint was used as the layout for the design. The results of the analysis show it is essential that the dashboard is real-time, clear, and accessible. Furthermore, the results show a request for a direct access to invoices. Unfortunately, the technical implementation of this feature was not yet possible to accomplish in this version. Possibilities for further development of Handi-dashboard are, for example, the inclusion of other client agencies and better integration of other systems. In addition, cultural change is essential to make sure that employees adopt the new work habits....
