Developing approaches in the working community is about organized planning and realization, where all the employees contribute to the practices that enhance well-being. The aim of this study was to develop and consolidate mutual members of the working community through co-operation working group approach to employee well-being of a substance abuse unit. Focus was on the positive dimension of well-being analysis, the identification of well-being and igniting a spark of change. The development goal was to implement a professional development process, which resulted in the construction of well-being at the working group approach. The study was carried out in accordance with the action research approach and working groups, as well as participatory development methods. The data was collected for joint discussion and interaction strengthening learning through knowledge production and work community skills. In relation to wellbeing at work, the enhancing factors were open interaction, collegial support and a positive working atmosphere together with the opportunity to influence on the job description and the workload. In the future, it would be interesting to sort out a still further aspect of leadership in relation to well-being....

This thesis was carried out in private-sector kindergarten Tilkkutäkki. The purpose of the thesis was to manage knowledge in the work community and it focused on securing the tacit knowledge, which is essential for preserving the organization, in changing situations. Organizations depend on workers' skills and tacit knowledge. Still, few employees work for the same organization for their whole career. Different leaves, such as family leaves, also pose challenges to the stability of the organization. My approach was action research. I engaged the work community to become aware and to recognize the experience-based tacit knowledge in our organization. I directed the work community to develop methods and models to preserve the tacit knowledge. The result was a working plan which is to be updated in action. The collective process reasserted the work community to commit to the plan it increased the sense of security when it comes to changing situations. The process increased the employees' respect in their own and the other's work. It helped perceive the organization's work as a whole and it generated new development ideas. The challenges were to arrange time for the transfer, equal distribution of responsibilities and rewards. The process should be modelled in similar types of organizations to facilitate knowledge and tacit knowledge management....

The aim of this thesis was to find out the best way to manage a multidisciplinary team and to develop a service description for the Youth Team, which is led by the City of Joensuu and Eastern Finland Police Department, Joensuu Police Station. The development of the service description for the Youth Team was carried out in a development group consisting of superiors from each three organisations behind this team. In addition, the work communities of these organisations were involved in this development activity. As a result of this development activity, a service description acceptable to all parties was created. This description can be copied to other cities or organisations. The report part of the thesis is a relatively extensive description of the reasons for criminal behaviour among youth as well as of methods which can be used to prevent it. All this forms the knowledge base for the services provided by the Youth Team, and therefore, it is of utmost importance in this type of network context....

The thesis was a development task. The main objective of the development project was to create a strategy company, vision and scorecard. The objective of the development was to make the entire staff participate in the strategic planning and to clarify the company's strategy for the entire staff. All employees of the company from directors to the board of directors participated in the strategic planning. There are 20 permanent employees in this company. Most of the employees are instructors. Workshops were carried out mainly in small groups. Part of the strategic plan for the work was carried out throughout a workplace, for instance as part of well-being on work days, as well as in connection with staff meetings. The methods used in making strategic planning included Learning CAFE, and gallery walking. The board of directors was informed of the entire strategy design time and board of directors meetings adopted it or returned the strategic plan for consideration again. The methods of the strategic plan were based on a learning organization view. The goal was to get as many employees as possible to take part in the strategy and vision planning exercises, so that the implementation of the strategy the company would be successful in the future. The company's strategy and vision were completed in spring 2014. Thereafter began the compiling of the scorecard as expanded work with the management team. The scorecard was completed in the autumn of 2014. In the autumn of 2014 the company's board of directors approved the company's strategy, vision and scorecard. After a year of development, the result was a finished strategy, vision, and scorecard, completed with the participation of all the company's employees. All the staff gained a clear picture of the company's strategy....

Myö ja Työ -työhyvinvointisopimuksen jalkauttamismalli Pohjois-Karjalan sairaanhoito- ja sosiaalipalvelujen kuntayhtymässä henkilöstön ja lähiesimiesten näkökulmasta

Myö ja Työ -työhyvinvointisopimus on Pohjois-Karjalan sairaanhoito- ja sosiaalipalvelu-jen kuntayhtymätyönantajan ja työntekijöiden välinen sopimus, joka otettiin käyttöön vuonna 2011. Uuden strategian myötä vuonna 2014 työhyvinvointisopimusta täytyi päivittää vastaamaan uutta strategiaa. Samanaikaisesti työntekijäjärjestöjen kritiikki työhyvinvointisopimuksen toimimattomuudesta vaati sopimuksen uudelleen suuntaamista. Tarkoituksena oli laatia jalkauttamismalli, jolla työhyvinvointisopimus saadaan koko kuntayhtymän henkilöstön käyttöön. Työhyvinvointi muodostuu yksilön henkilökohtaisista ominaisuuksista ja resursseista sekä työn eri osa-alueista: työn imusta, esimiestyön toi-mivuudesta ja niin fyysisestä kuin henkisestä työn kuormittavuudesta. Jokaisen osa-alueen on toimittava jollakin tavalla, jotta yksilö voisi työssään hyvin.
Kehittämistyön menetelmäksi valittiin toimintatutkimus, jossa taustatietoja työhyvinvointisopimuksen jalkautumisesta kerättiin jo olemassa olevista tilastotiedoista sekä haastattelemalla hoitotyön lähiesimiehiä ja työntekijäjärjestöjen edustajia teemahaastattelun avulla. Haastatteluista saatiin taustatietojen lisäksi materiaalia uuden jalkauttamismallin pohjaksi.
Jalkauttamismallin uudistuksista tärkeimmiksi muotoutui avoimen keskustelun sekä työhyvinvointiosaamisen lisääminen. Mahdollisuuksia näihin tarjotaan lisäämällä tiedonvälitys- ja palautteenantokanavia sekä -tilaisuuksia, sekä työhyvinvointi- ja esimieskoulutusta kehittämällä. Työhyvinvointisopimuksen toteutumisen seurantaa lisätään keräämällä eri tilaisuuksien osallistujamääriä sekä seuraamalla kehityskeskustelujen toteutumista. Mallia on päivitettävä säännöllisesti huonosti toimivien rakenteiden korjaamiseksi ja uusien keinojen käyttöönottamiseksi toimintatutkimuksen periaatteiden mukaisesti....

Performance review is a management tool and method, which allows a manager to promote the engagement level of the employees as well as helps to improve the overall performance. It is important for local governments to pay attention to the management culture and have practical management systems, because in near future the competition for skilled personnel will be more intense. The purpose of this thesis was to improve performance review form to support supervisory work and to be used in various branches of administration. The advantage in using the same form is to establish uniform principles for implementing performance reviews within the municipality. The approach applied in this thesis was inquirybased workshops. The material was analysed using content analysis. The knowledge base consisted of literature and studies on performance reviews. The structured interviews revealed the themes to be included into the performance review form. The form was compiled on the basis of the interview results and workshop work. In this thesis, the supervisors evaluated performance reviews from their own perspective. In future it would be interesting to conduct a study among employees and evaluate performance reviews from their standpoint. Another interesting subject could be a re-evaluation of the performance review form after a few years of use....

Tiivistelmä
Terveyden ja hyvinvoinnin laitoksen (THL) tavoitteena on ollut kehittää alueellista terveysseurantaa. Tuotettavia tietoja käytetään maakunnan, seutukuntien ja kuntien terveys- ja hyvinvointityön tueksi. Tässä opinnäytetyössä on käytetty materiaalina Terveyden- ja hyvinvoinnin laitoksen (THL) toteuttamaa Alueellisen terveys- ja hyvinvointitutkimuksen (ATH) Pohjois-Karjalan aineistoa.
Tulevaisuudessa työvoima koostuu yhä enemmän eri-ikäisistä ja työkyvyltään erilaisista työntekijöistä. Työurien pidentyessä on keskeistä selvittää, miten ikääntyvien työntekijöiden työkyky säilyy ja miten työssä jatkamista voitaisiin tukea eläkeikään saakka. Tässä opinnäytetyössä ikääntyvällä tarkoitetaan 45–65-vuotiasta työntekijää.
Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli selvittää elintapojen, terveydentilan, palveluiden- ja niiden tarpeiden sekä sosiaalisten- ja sosioekonomisten tekijöiden vaikutusta 45–65-vuotiaiden työkykyyn. Tarkoituksena oli löytää keinoja ikääntyvien työntekijöiden työurien pidentämisen tueksi. Tämä opinnäytetyö toteutettiin tutkimuksellisena kehittämistyönä.
Opinnäytetyön tuloksista nostettiin esille keinoja työkyvyn ylläpitämiseksi ja heikkenemisen ehkäisemiseksi. Opinnäytetyön tuloksia hyödynnettiin osana työelämäyhteistyötä. Opinnäytetyön tuloksista kirjoitettiin artikkeli, joka oli osa ”Moninaisuusosaaminen tulevaisuuden työyhteisöjen johtamisen työkaluna”.
