Usability of Online Store from customer’s point of view Case: Confetti Oy The aim for this study was to find out, how customers feel Confetti Oy online store’s usability. The purpose was to gather information from customer satisfaction in customer service and in reclama-tion process. Confetti Oy functions has never been examined before, so there was real need for this kind of study. The study was conducted by interviewing Confetti Oy CEO and owner Petri Tuomela and sending online survey for customers. The survey was made using the SurveyPal questionnaire tool. The questionnaire was sent to over 22 000 customers e- mail that were in Confetti Oy’s customer regis-ter. 1470 customers answered to the survey. The survey was involved both quantitative and qualitative methods. The results were analyzed with the help of SurveyPal statistics software. According to the results of the questionnaire, customers were mainly satisfied in Confetti Oy’s online shop. The sites were easy to use and customers were satisfied whit company’s customer service quality. Company’s delivery times were quick and it pleased the customers. However, the results of the questionnaire also showed that there are some issues that need to re-pare. The selling item categorize was confusing and some of the products were prized too high. That made some of the customer change the store for the competitor’s site. The study will help the company developed business for more customer friendly....

The profitability of Finnish banking in 2010’s was studied in thesis. Banking has had challenges in retaining profitability during the recession and after the regulation increased. The goal of this thesis project was to find out how profitable banking is at present and to identify which factors have on influence of it. Profitability, banking and financial statements are reviewed in the theoretical section. The profitability is discussed through the use of cost-effectiveness calculation models. In addition, the content of the financial statement is reviewed and also the key figures which relate to it. In the final part of the theoretical section banking, legislation and regulation are evaluated as well as the traditional earning logic and key figures of the banks. The key figures are the result of the sold bank products which is the topic of the fourth chapter. The products that are present are those that form interest earnings and fee earnings. The profitability of the banks is studied based on their financial statements and the information given by the Finance Supervisor. The financial statements of six banks were studied over a five year period and their key figures were compared in the graphs. In addition to financial statement analysis a picture of the banking business was developed by collecting articles, annual reports and forecasts. Finnish banks offer diverse financial services. For instance, the bank can belong to a credit union, savings bank or be a part of an international banking conglomerate. The services that the bank offers are mostly related to saving, investing, financing or payments traffic. The common rules of banking are found in the law of credit institutions and from the orders of the Financial Supervisor. According to the research, the return on equity has decreased only marginally and the return on assets has decreased slightly. The blame is not necessarily on the weakened business but on the increase in capital. The expense/benefit ratios of banks have been improved which is a sign of the improved banking profitability. Cutting and controlling the expenses has been a one factor behind the improved expense/benefit ratios. The solvency ratios of banks have been under control within normal values. The average operating incomes have risen somewhat. The profitability of banking is more and more a burden of the fee benefits because the low interest rate keeps the interest margins small. Also the strategies have had an influence on the rising fee benefits of banks. The earnings have been acquired from where they are easiest to get. The forecasts for the Finnish economy and its growth don’t support the theories of rising banking profitability. Growth is slow, the regulation increases and new competitors will appear. Digitalization brings challenges to banking field and demand for new innovations will arise but it also present new opportunities. The upcoming digitalization won’t increase overall profitability but can change the relative strengths between the banks....

Tilitoimiston digitaaliset toimintamahdollisuudet : case: Laptase Oy

Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli tuoda esille ongelmakohtia tilitoimiston ja sen sidosryhmien välisessä sähköisessä ja digitaalisessa asioinnissa. Lisäksi tarkoituksena oli etsiä ratkaisu tilitoimiston asiakkaiden lähettämien kassakuittien ohjaamisessa digitaalisesti suoraan tilitoimiston taloushallintojärjestelmään. Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli tutkia eri sidosryhmätahojen kuten Verohallinnon, Kelan, TE-toimiston ja vakuutusyhtiöiden sähköisten toimintamallien taustoja ja selvittää tulevia kehityskohteita, koska tulevina vuosina on tulossa isoja julkisia hankkeita tuotantoon. Tavoitteena oli myös miettiä mahdollisia kehittämiskohteita toimeksiantajana toimivan vantaalaisen tilitoimisto Laptase Oy:n toimintaan.
Teoreettisessa viitekehyksessä käsiteltiin taloushallinnon muuttumista digitaaliseksi, sähköistä tunnistamista verkossa yritystasolla ja tilitoimiston digitaalisen toiminnan kehittämistä sekä digitaalisuuteen liittyviä haasteita. Myös tietoturvaa käsiteltiin tärkeänä osana. Teoriamateriaalia löytyi hyvin sähköisinä artikkeleina sekä kirjallisuutena. Lisäksi haastattelumateriaali toimi tutkimusaineistona.
Tutkimus tehtiin teemahaastattelujen avulla. Haastateltaviksi valikoitui Olli-Pekka Hirvonen Verohallinnosta, Päivi Hyvärinen Kelalta, Riku Hautamäki TE-toimistosta, Tuija Laiho Kehalta, Otto Talvitie Keskinäinen työeläkevakuutusyhtiö Varmalta sekä Eeva-Liisa Hanhimäki ja Jenni Timonen LähiTapiolasta. Lisäksi haastateltiin tietosuojavaltuutettu Reijo Aarniota. Internethauilla löytyi muutama ratkaisu tilitoimiston sähköiseen kassakuittiongelmaan.
Haastattelujen avulla saatiin kuva siitä, kuinka tilitoimiston ja julkishallinnon toimijoiden sekä vakuutusyhtiöiden välinen sähköinen ja digitaalinen toiminta vaatii vielä panostusta kehitykseen ja käyttöönottoon toimiakseen ilman paperin käsittelyä. Haastatteluissa selvisi, että esimerkiksi vakuutusyhtiöiltä puuttuvat yhteneväiset tunnistautumismenetelmät ja valtuutusmenetelmät vaihtelevat tilitoimiston eri sidosryhmillä....

Developing sales for human resources service company x The study subject was about developing a sales process for a company providing human resource services. The company mainly rents out workers and recruits personnel directly for customers. Sales is an important part of the company’s business and the developing process was meant to improve and boost the sales process. This study was meant to help find topics that need improvements and create real development ideas that can be taken into everyday sales work. Sales, sales process, process phases and ways to perform a study, were areas that were dealt with in the theory part. Practice and topics of the interviews were meant to link to each other and to the main topics of the study. The study was executed by means of an inquiry and theme interviews. The first phase was to do an inquiry that was meant to help find themes for the interviews. In the second phase the interviews were meant to be executed based on the inquiry with three of the personnel. Interviewees were interviewed one by one and the results were used to give development ideas for sales. Based on the interviews most of the interviewees thought the same way about the themes of the study. The interviews brought information that showed that there were some things to develop with sales plans, getting ready for customer meetings and providing extra services and boosting sales for current customers. The planning of the sales should be considered as something that should be done more often, customer meetings should be better prepared for and current customers should be given more attention, for example by doing yearly sales plans. Development ideas are easy to take into a business process and with little changes there can be improvements made. Development ideas have been given to the client and suggestions made which can be put into action. Results of the study are useful for the company and the process of the study was logical and clear....

The purpose of the thesis was to solve changes between the original Paternity act and the reformed Paternity act that came into force in January 2016 and to study the implementation of child´s best interests in paternity matter and how it comes true and how it is controlled. The thesis also studies the reason of a need to reform the Paternity act and the effects brought by the new regulation. The paternity legislation was studied by the standpoint of the child´s best interest. The need to reform the paternity act was based on the changes in the structures of the families, the development of the research methods concerning paternity testing and the progress between the equality of the sexes. The thesis is based on the legislation and literature of the family law, government bills, statements given by different authorities and cases considering the paternity issues. The method of the research is jurisprudence. The research studied how the best interest of the child is adapted in the matters regarding paternity and parenthood and how the reform of the act will effect on them today and in the future. The thesis expresses the present state of the family law, the changes that will need to take place in the near future, the effects brought by the reformed Paternity act and importance of the child´s best interest. The improvements in the equality between the sexes, creates a need to amend our legislation in the near future. The purpose of the thesis was to clarify the personal reasons which have led to redundancy situations and indemnity how redundancies progress by law and what terms are put into the redundancy arrangements when execution takes place. The idea of the research is to identify illegal dismissals taking place in employment situations, differences between a dismissal and the termination of employment relationships, variations of the reasons for dismissals, as well as employers and employees obligations according to labour law. A ”termination of a employment relationship due to personal reasons” refers to a withdrawal of the employment relationship by the employer due reasons of an employee’s inappropriate behavior. According to the relevant labour law, there are reasons that have been separately agreed to and are legally acceptable enough or not for terminating an employment relationship. The purpose of the scrutinization was to create an accurate overall picture of the different types of dismissals in working relationships and issues related to that specific subject. The methods employed in this study were labour law literature, regulations, articles and practical examples of implementation. I have also taken labour court settlements into account related to employment dismissals due to personal reasons. Labor law literature and articles are classified as employment law literature. In general, an employment contract ends when an employee signs a new contract or hands in his resignation. A valid reason is required when there is a decision that a contract of employment is unilaterally terminated. In Finland, employees have many rights and one of the most crucial is employment protection legislation. Employment protection legislation is made to create a form of security against losing a job unfairly. According to the summary of this study, terminating a contract is the most difficult issue in an employment relationship. An employer needs to thoroughly assess and consider any inappropriate behavior of an employee and give a written warning. Dismissal within an employment relationship due to personal reasons is a demanding subject, thus it needs to be evaluated through considering the large picture thinking as to whether an employer has a valid reason for unilaterally ending an employment contract or not....

Asiakkuudet hallintaan! : CRM-järjestelmien vertailu ja käyttöönotto kansainvälisessä pienyrityksessä

Tämän opinnäytetyön aiheena on eri CRM-järjestelmiin tutustuminen, niiden vertailu ja yhden järjestelmän valinta sekä käyttöönotto toimeksiantajan tarpeiden mukaisesti. Tarkoituksena oli toteuttaa pienyritys Gasre Oy:lle asiakastiedon hallintaan malli, sillä yhä laajenevana yrityksenä tarve CRM-hallintajärjestelmälle oli suuri.
Opinnäytetyön teoriaosuudessa tutkitaan asiakkuudenhallintaa, CRM-järjestelmiä sekä niiden käyttöönottoa. Teoriaosuuden jälkeen siirrytään toiminnalliseen osuuteen eli kuvataan varsinainen prosessi, johon kuuluu CRM-ohjelmistoihin perehtyminen, niiden vertailu sekä parhaiten toimeksiantajan tarpeita vastaavan asiakashallintajärjestelmäratkaisun valinta sekä käyttöönotto.
Molemmat osuudet palvelevat yrityksiä ja toimijoita, jotka suunnittelevat CRM-järjestelmän käyttöönottoa, ja vertailevat eri järjestelmien ominaisuuksia. Tässä toiminnallisessa opinnäytetyössä käytettiin konstruktiivista tutkimusmenetelmää. Lopputuloksena oli tavoitteeseen pääseminen, eli tässä tapauksessa toimivan asiakkuudenhallintajärjestelmän valinta sekä käyttöönotto Gasre Oy:lle.
Projektin yhteenvetona voidaan todeta, että kokonaisvaltainen asiakkuudenhallinta, eli asiakkaiden tarpeisiin ja vuorovaikutukseen keskittyminen, sekä molemmille osapuolille arvon tuottaminen, on yritykselle kilpailuetu. Jotta tämä kilpailuetu saavutetaan, on yritysten siirryttävä organisaatiolähteisestä ajattelumallista asiakaslähtöiseen ajattelumalliin, jossa asiakkaiden tarpeiden tyydyttäminen on tärkeintä. Kokonaisvaltaista asiakashallintaa helpottamaan on vuosien varrella syntynyt erilaisia CRM-järjestelmiä. Jotta osataan valita juuri oikea järjestelmä kullekin yritykselle, tulee organisaatiossa pohtia, mitä CRM-järjestelmällä halutaan saavuttaa. Järjestelmän onnistunut käyttöönotto vaatii jokaiselta sitoutumista ja halua muutokseen.
Tätä projektia voidaan pitää onnistuneena, koska onnistuttiin löytämään ja valitsemaan sopiva CRM-järjestelmä juuri Gasre Oy:n tarpeet huomioon ottaen ja saatiin otettua se käyttöön. Tämän projektin toteuttaminen tuotti hyötyä kaikille osapuolille ja se oli tärkeä toteuttaa, sillä toimeksiantajalla itsellään ei ollut ollut aikaa tutustua ja vertailla ei CRM-hallintaratkaisuja. Pitkällä aikavälillä kunnon asiakashallinnan puuttuminen olisi voinut aiheuttaa suurta haittaa yrityksen liiketoiminnalle.
Jatkoprojektina voitaisiin tutkia, miten kunnon CRM-järjestelmän käyttö on vaikuttanut Gasre Oy:n liiketoimintaan tai mahdollisesti toteuttaa kattava käytössä olevan CRM-järjestelmän käyttöopas, joka auttaisi Gasre Oy:tä mahdollisten uusien työtekijöiden perehdytyksessä....

Developing usage of RFID technology CASE: ABB Drives Service This thesis was conducted for ABB Drivers Service. The aim of this thesis was to enhance tag reading problems in a warehouse process for receiving inbound goods and to develop out-bound shipping with RFID to reduce shipment errors. RFID technology and common problems with RFID are discussed in the theoretical section dis-cusses RFID technology and common problems with RFID. It is based on printed and online publications. The main research section focuses on the case company’s warehouse current state and based on this analysis arising development areas. The usage development section focuses on solving the established problems and development. The thesis was based on qualitative methods. The study was executed by exploring the lo-gistic processes in the company’s warehouse and the associated problems were established. Expert information and points of view were also collected from professionals at RFIDLab. The RFID system is primarily a data-collecting system which includes a reader and a tag. The tag identifies itself to the reader through a radio link. The RFID system needs to be integrated with the company’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) –software to ensure efficient function-ing. With RFID, companies can ensure their shipments’ content, verify they are loaded in the correct truck and that nothing is missing from the truck. It can be concluded that as more items are tagged, the challenge is the positioning of the tags so they can be read within a case or pallet. In addition, some rate of failure in reading can happen. Especially with metals and liquids. Also RFID systems can be easily disrupted. The aim of this thesis was to enhance tag reading problems in a warehouse process for receiving inbound goods and to develop out-bound shipping with RFID to reduce shipment errors. RFID technology and common problems with RFID are discussed in the theoretical section dis-cusses RFID technology and common problems with RFID. It is based on printed and online publications. The main research section focuses on the case company’s warehouse current state and based on this analysis arising development areas. The usage development section focuses on solving the established problems and development. The thesis was based on qualitative methods. The study was executed by exploring the lo-gistic processes in the company’s warehouse and the associated problems were established. Expert information and points of view were also collected from professionals at RFIDLab. The RFID system is primarily a data-collecting system which includes a reader and a tag. The tag identifies itself to the reader through a radio link. The RFID system needs to be integrated with the company’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) –software to ensure efficient function-ing. With RFID, companies can ensure their shipments’ content, verify they are loaded in the correct truck and that nothing is missing from the truck. It can be concluded that as more items are tagged, the challenge is the positioning of the tags so they can be read within a case or pallet. In addition, some rate of failure in reading can happen. Especially with metals and liquids. Also RFID systems can be easily disrupted. Immigrant entrepreneur challenges In this thesis, we carried out research and the main point of the research was to find out what special challenges are involved with immigrant entrepreneurship and what challenges they face when they have founded a company and what challenges they face during their career. The target group of this research were immigrants who already had a company in Finland. The theory part of this thesis is about what entrepreneurship is, what is a company, where you can find information about starting your own company, motivation to become an entrepreneur, a company’s business ideas and company’s financing. The third chapter is about immigrants who work as entrepreneurs. The research conducted was qualitative research and we interviewed five different companies near and within the capital area during January 2016.The companies have immigrant owners and we recorded, transcribed and analysed all of the interviews. According to the research the biggest challenge immigrant entrepreneurs face is Finnish language and working in the Finnish language. Also finding information how to start a company was difficult. They got information mostly from their friends and family who had already started a company in Finland. Even though some of the immigrant entrepreneurs faced some racism a large number of entrepreneurs who participated in this research felt that Finnish people related in a positive way towards their companies. Markkinointisuunnitelma : case: talousvesikaivon puhdistus

Työn tarkoituksena oli tuottaa talousvesikaivon puhdistuspalvelun markkinointisuunnitelma Kymenlaaksossa toimivalle ympäristöhuoltoa tuottavalle Suurpää Oy:lle. Yritys tuottaa talousvesikaivon puhdistuspalvelua osana laajaa palvelutarjontaansa. Markkinointisuunnitelma oli tarkoitus rakentaa ainoastaan talousvesikaivon puhdistuspalvelun ympärille irrallaan yrityksen muusta toiminnasta, joka ei ole puhdistuspalveluun millään tapaa sidoksissa. Suunnitelman tavoitteena oli auttaa yritystä hahmottamaan vesikaivon puhdistuspalvelun nykytilanne markkinoilla sekä antaa työkaluja palvelun parempaan markkinointiin tulevaisuudessa. Palvelua ei ole aikaisemmin markkinoitu muutoin kuin osana yrityksen muuta toimintaa. Markkinointisuunnitelman toivottiin valottavan palveluun liittyvää toimintaympäristöä sekä markkinointitapoja ja mahdollisuuksia, joita yritys ei välttämättä ole huomioinut riittävästi.
Suunnitelmaan vaadittava tietoperusta rakennettiin asiakaskyselyillä hankitusta tutkimustiedosta sekä yritys- ja toimintaympäristön analyyseistä.
Tutkimusten ja analyysien toteuttamisen jälkeen havaittiin palvelun asiakkaiden olevan keskimäärin yli 50-vuotiaita paikkakuntalaisia ja ahkeria internetin käyttäjiä, jotka eivät ole käyttäneet palvelua aikaisemmin. Sanomalehtien ja sosiaalisen median rooli palvelun markkinoissa oli tutkimusten mukaan todella pieni. Toimintaympäristön analysoinnissa löytyi viitteitä alaan kohdistuvista vaikutteista, mutta suoria lähteitä tai nopeasti toimivia vaikuttimia ei pystytty nimeämään.
Valmis markkinointisuunnitelma rakentui pääsääntöisesti yrityksen nykyisen toimintamallin ja strategian mukaisesti. Palvelun tuotteistuksessa kehotettiin rakentamaan palvelua asiakkaiden päätarpeiden eli veden puhdistamisen ja rakenteiden korjaamisen ympärille. Lisäksi markkinoinnin tukemiseksi suositeltiin erinäisten sertifikaattien käyttöä ja kotitalousvähennyksen hyödyntämistä palvelun hinnoittelussa. Palvelun tuotepakettien luominen katsottiin tarpeettomaksi työtehtävien jatkuvan vaihtelun takia. Myytävän tuotteen menestyksen turvaamiseksi ehdotettiin uusien palvelumuotojen, ensisijaisesti teknologisten innovaatioiden etsimistä ja hyödyntämistä.
Viestinnässä nykyinen suoramyynti katsottiin parhaiten toimivaksi ratkaisuksi, mutta mainonnassa ehdotettiin keskittymään internet- ja hakukonemainontaan ja sivuuttamaan palveluhakemistot kokonaan. Myös myynninedistämisen katsottiin olevan palvelun kannalta turhaa.
Suunnitelman käyttöönotossa ehdotettiin markkinoinnin jaksottamista eri vuodenajoille, sekä huomioimaan yrityksen vahvuuksia markkinointimateriaalin suunnittelutyössä. Markkinoinnin toimivuuden arvioimiseksi edellytettiin määräajoin tehtävää arviointia markkinointikokonaisuuden toimivuudesta. Alkuperäisestä julkaisusuunnitelmasta poikkeavia korjauksia voi tehdä markkinointiin edellyttäen, että keskenään risteäviä markkinointimalleja ei julkaista....
