Product placement of fashion brands in TV-series as a method of marketing communication The purpose of this thesis was to find out how fashion marketing in TV-series and in movies is done and how it affects consumer purchase behaviour. The research question was “Does fashion marketing in TV-series and in movies affect consumer purchase behaviour?” The theory part of this thesis looks into fashion product placement in TV-series and in movies. Also, the thesis handles the ways of marketing communication and advertising. In addition, the theory part concentrates on brand and consumer concepts. The empirical part of the thesis was a quantitative study, which was carried out by a multiple choice survey form. The survey was published in creator’s Facebook profile where it was an-swered by 34 persons. Due to the small sample size, the study can be seen as giving an overview of the subject. Based on the findings of the study, fashion marketing in TV-series and in movies is seen as an effective way to promote a brand. However, it does not necessarily affect consumer purchase behaviour. As a result, it was found out that fashion marketing has more influence on men’s purchase behaviour than women’s....

The handling of conversion imprisonment : case: the District Court of Espoo Conversion imprisonment means when unpaid day-fines and default fines that the court has condemned are converted into imprisonment. This procedure is executed only if the attempt to collect the fine has been unsuccessful. According to our current legislation three unpaid day-fines or every 30 euros of unpaid default fines are converted into one day of imprisonment. The purpose of this thesis is to clarify what the conversion imprisonment is and which situations it can be used in. The different areas of fines levied on property which are related to the conversion imprisonment are described in the theoretical part of this thesis. It is also explained what kind of a process conversion imprisonment is. The theoretical part is based on legal literature, official publications and legislation. The topic was originally found in the District Court of Vantaa where I did the practical training of my studies. I have had the chance to be a part of the process by doing the secretary's tasks which are related to the conversion imprisonment. Therefore choosing this subject seemed natural. The second part of this thesis is an analysis of conversion imprisonment based on the opinions of notaries. The first part of the interview was conducted with the notaries from the metropolitan area in order to find out how different courts handle conversion imprisonments. The latter interview was conducted with the notaries in District Court of Espoo to find out the areas that need developing inside the workplace....

The study examined which factors have contributed to customer satisfaction with the products and services, and the factors causing dissatisfaction. The research section consisted of products, service and customer satisfaction literature and Internet-resources. The empirical part is focuses on the company’s customers. The research was conducted as a quantitative research and carried out by a questionnaire. A quantitative study was considered most suitable for the number of interviewees and for the amount of time used. The customer satisfaction survey was conducted using an electronic interview form by email. The sample was 57 enterprise customers. The interviewees had two weeks to respond. The results showed that the company’s customers were on average satisfied with the service and products. The study gives tools for the development of the service and product range as well as the development of the means to maintain customers....

Possibilities of carrying out job rotation at Riihimäki prison from point of view of the staff This thesis, aimed at examining the chances of job rotation at Riihimäki prison, is based on opinions of the regular staff. By means of a questionnaire aimed at the prison officers, the instructors, the supervisors, the teaching staff, the psychologists and the superiors, job rotation, its advantages and disadvantages and possible reasons for or against rotation, are examined. The opinions or aims of the prison administration about job rotation are not examined in this thesis. The Criminal Sanctions Agency adopts a positive attitude towards job rotation, and the state employers should encourage their officials to follow a mobility plan. The job rotation means that the employee voluntarily takes a new task for a certain time and then returns to his/her permanent job. There are many theories connected to job rotation and in this thesis the subject is treated through a learning organization, tacit knowledge, work enrichment, work motivation and having enough strength to work, through the need to belong to a group and through ability management. The results of the survey suggest that about one third of the staff at the Riihimäki prison would be interested in job rotation. The possible advantages for the staff are bigger than the disadvantages The results show that job rotation is not, however, for every employee. There is a well-grounded reason for many employees not to participate in job rotation. Most interest in job rotation at Riihimäki prison is shown by employees with university degree, by those who have worked for less than ten years at the Riihimäki prison and by women. Employees with these criteria are especially found in the rehabilitation sector of the prison. Least desire for job rotation is found in male-dominated prison officer staff but more than one fourth of them, however, are slightly interested in job rotation. It is shown in the research that there is a demand for well-planned job rotation system at Riihimäki prison. For improving the abilities of the staff, and for many other reasons it is wise to nominate a person in charge for job rotation. In addition to the internal job rotation at the prison, it is worth considering to have job rotation in cooperation with staff outside the Riihimäki prison....

A customers needs analysis as a base for product development. Case: Virtu-project The ageing of the population and the changes in the demographic maintenance relation are causing the municipalities new challenges. The decrease in the resources and the growth of the need for the services are a combination which require new solutions. The welfare technology has been considered as one solution to the problems. This thesis was commissioned by Virtu-Project, which has tested welfare technology as a solution for the disappearance of services in the archipelago areas. They have been using an easy-to-use video device, which has been used to test the production of health and social services in archipelago area. The objective of this thesis is to create a foundation for developing the Virtu service model by a customer needs survey. The aim is to bring out customer's needs and see all the problems, so that the product can be developed in a direction which serves all the potential customers. This research was carried out in three municipalities in Southern Finland as an interview study to homecare managers. Research material was collected during fall 2012 with the help of seven theme interviews. The theoretical frame of reference of the research was composed around the diffusion model of the innovations of Rogers. The results of the study show that the need for new solutions to the challenges caused by the ageing of the population is hard. The technology was considered as one possible solution for the decrease in the resources and for the growth of the need for services. The interviewees reacted positively but carefully to The Virtu service model as one solution for the needs. At present the full utilization of the model is made difficult by technical problems and the ill-health of customers....

Viestintämateriaalin tuottaminen Hewlett-Packardin pilvipalvelutarjonnasta

Tämän toiminnallisen opinnäytetyön aihe lähti tarpeesta tuottaa pilvipalveluiden viestintämateriaa-lia Hewlett-Packardin asiakaskommunikointiin. Toiminnallisessa opinnäytetyössä korostuu työelä-mää kehittävä toiminta, jossa voidaan muun muassa tuottaa ohjekansio tai oppimateriaalia.
Tavoitteena oli tuottaa tietopaketti, joka sisältää pilvipalveluiden perustietoa, eri pilvimallien ku-vauksen sekä auttaa asiakasta pilvimallin valinnan kanssa. Osatavoitteena oli tuottaa viestintäma-teriaalin pohjalta esitysmateriaalia. Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli oppia käytännön kokemuksen kautta tuottamaan viestintämateriaalia yritykselle.
Opinnäytetyö koostuu neljästä osasta: lähtötilanteen ja tavoitteiden kuvaus, pohjustava teoria-osuus, käytännön toteutus sekä yhteenveto. Työn lopusta löytyy sekä tuotettu viestintämateriaali että esitysmateriaali liitteinä. Viestintämateriaali tuotettiin kymmenen viikon työharjoittelun ohella alkuvuodesta 2013, jonka jälkeen tuotos raportoitiin opinnäytetyönä myöhemmin samana kevää-nä.
Lähdeaineistoa opinnäytetyön teoreettiseen osioon löytyi markkinointiviestinnän ja pilvipalveluiden kirjallisuudesta, sekä internetin eri lähteistä. Viestintämateriaalin tuottamiseen käytettiin yrityksen tarjoamaa materiaalia ja internetiä. Materiaalin tuottamisen prosessi kuvattiin harjoittelun aikana kirjoitetun henkilökohtaisen työpäiväkirjan pohjalta.
Viestintämateriaali tuotettiin Microsoft Office –ohjelmilla. Tuloksena syntyi noin 15 sivuinen viestin-tämateriaali Word-dokumenttina, sekä noin 30 diaa sisältävä Power Point –esitysmateriaali. Saadun palautteen kautta ilmeni, että lopputulos vastasi asetettuja tavoitteita ja odotuksia....
