Our goal in this thesis is to study the possibility of importing menswear from Vietnam and selling them in Finland. We wanted to know what the main criteria are for purchasing agents for making their decision to purchase. We interviewed three people who work as purchasing agent in a retailing company. These companies are one of the largest clothing retailers in Finland. In this thesis we also find out how these retailers carry out their purchasing. In the theoretical part we discuss the factors that affect a company’s purchasing and buying decision. In addition, we discuss parties of importing and different quality standards like BSCI and SA8000, which are unconditional for a supplier. The last part deals with Finland’s and Vietnam’s textile and clothing industry. Our interviews were carried out in October 2011. During the interview we used a structured interview method. We also had some samples, which we received from Mrs. Linh, who is our contact person in Vietnam. At the end of the interview we asked purchasing agent’s opinions about the quality, size and trendiness of our samples. From the results of the interviews we received information about Finnish buyers’ willingness of buying menswear that is manufactured in Vietnam. The results were very positive from our point of view. Every person we interviewed was willing to take samples to their collection. In addition to the interviews we made important contacts to a Vietnamese clothing manufacturer. This was because one of our team members traveled to Vietnam in January 2012 and met one of the representatives of this manufacturer....

Why do Enterprise Resource Planning Systems- fail? The meaning of this thesis work is to find out why companies acquire Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)-systems? What are the benefits and disadvantages that will emergence? I will briefly explain the ERP-system initialization process and the challenges that it brings. In the beginning of my research I will address basic issues about ERP-system for example, the purpose and the costs. After this I will present some example companies who introduced an ERP-system that were failed and some that implemented with success. There are some previous studies but very few in Finnish so I concentrated on written English material. The empirical section includes interviews with specialists of this area, written articles and material from the Internet. The meaning of my study is to show that the implementation of ERP-systems are extremely challenging and demanding processes, and with great probability they will fall behind the desired schedule and most likely the budget will be much more than expected....

(Laurea-ammattikorkeakoulu, 2013)
Tämän toiminnallisen opinnäytetyön tarkoitus oli kehittää liiketoimintasuunnitelma turkulaiselle Kold Reso Kult Oy:lle. Kold Reso Kult järjestää metalli- ja marginaalimusiikin tapahtumia, julkaisee ja myy musiikkiäänitteitä, kirjallisuutta ja musiikin oheistuotteita. Yritys on toiminut vuodesta 2006 rekisteröitynä yhdistyksenä ja vuodesta 2009 osakeyhtiönä. Suurimmat tapahtumat jota yritys järjestää on neljättä kertaa järjestettävä kahden päivän ulkoilmafestivaali Hammer Open Air-festivaali ja neljättä kertaa järjestettävä Black Flames of Blasphemy-sisätilafestivaali.
Liiketoimintasuunnitelmaa laatiessa käytettiin pohjana yrityksen aikaisempaa suppeata liiketoimintasuunnitelmaa.
