Elintarviketeollisuus on ollut jatkuvassa kasvussa. Viimeisten kymmenen vuoden aikana lihatuotteiden kysyntä on kaksinkertaistunut. Monet liha-alan tuotantoyritykset ovat laajentaneet toimintaansa kansainvälisille markkinoille. Liha-alaan luokitellaan teurastamoita sekä isoja, että pieniä leikkaamo-, jalostus-, tai myymäläyrityksiä. Yritysverkostoon kuuluvat myös yhteistyökumppanit ja asiakkaat. Yritystoiminta on prosessien yhdistämistä, kokoamista, hahmottamista ja optimointia. Onnistunut tilaus-toimitusketjun hallinta tuottaa yritykselle menestystä, liikevoittoa, tunnettavuutta ja uusia yhteistyökumppaneita.
Kohdeyritykseni on Helsingin Lihaexpertit Oy, joka on liha-alan yritys. Tutkimuksessa on tutkittu Helsingin Lihaexpertit Oy:n tilaus-toimitusketjua, sekä tilaus-toimitusketjun ongelmakohtia. Helsingin Lihaexpertit Oy:n toimesta tutkimuksessa on keskitytty kolmeen tilaus-toimitusketjun osa-alueeseen: myynti, tuotanto ja kuljetukset. Työssä on kuvattu mahdollisemman tarkasti yrityksen tilaus-toimitusketjun prosesseja. Tämän jälkeen prosessien yhteenliittymiä on tarkasteltu ja selvitelty prosessien toimintoja. Näiden pohjalta kolmessa osa-alueessa on tarkasteltu ongelmakohtia ja pyritty löytämään niihin tehokkuutta parantavia kehitysehdotuksia.
Myynti on yrityksen toimielin, joka lähinnä pitää yhteyttä asiakkaisiin tarjoamalla heille tuotteita. Myyntiprosessia on tarkasteltu opinnäytetyössä ja ehdotettu uusia malleja toimintaan. Tuotantopuolta on tarkasteltu varaston näkökulmasta, koska itse tuotannon kehittäminen on vaikeaa, sillä tuotantoon liittyvät lihanleikkuuja ruhojen paloitteluprosessit eivät ole niin tuttuja. Tuotanto on yrityksen ydinprosessi ja prosessiajattelun näkökulmasta yrityksen on keskityttävä ydinosaamiseen.
Työn lopussa on arvioitu omaa työpanosta ja projektihankkeen etenemistä sekä projektihankkeen päättämistä. Lisäksi työssä on esitetty mahdollisia jatkotutkimusaiheita ja kehitysehdotuksia kohdeyritykselle....

Injured party in the criminal process : instruction to injured party for inherit convict dam-ages : case: Helsinki District Court My thesis is related to my work in Helsinki District Court, where I take care of the tasks of district court secretary. The thesis deals with the role of the injured party of the criminal process, and how he can inherit courts convicted damages to him. The guide which is attached to the thesis is made in collaboration with the staff from my work. The goal of this thesis is to examine the role of the injured party in a criminal process, and to survey damages to which injured party is entitled. The instruction which arises from the functional part is made for district court secretaries to make it easier for them when advicing the injured party to inherit damages. The instruction can also be sent directly to the injured party. At the beginning of the theory part I examine about injured party`s status in the criminal process and I take knowledge from legal literatures and laws. I am also examining about which accidents the injured party can get damages for and how and where the injured party can inherit the convicted damages. I`m interviewed for informational purposes the State Treasury`s the head of legal issues. I`m going through how the process proceeds in District Court. At this point I benefit my own skills at district court secretary....

Viewpoints to franchise entrepreneurship The objective of the thesis was to clarify what are the ways of action of the franchis-ing chains, their advantages, their profitability and what restrictions they bring to entrepreneurs. One aim was also to clarify why the franchising entrepreneurs chose the franchising activity even though it also was possible for them to open a company based on an own business idea. As a background, other company forms were also presented. The word franchising was made official in 1987 to Finnish language. Due to the enlargening of the franchising activity, Finland's franchising association registered association was founded in 1988. The objective of the association is to maintain and to develop the franchising activity`s ethical rules and to offer services to the persons who are interested in franchising activity, and also to franchising entrepreneurs. The thesis consisted of five parts which are: differences of the company forms, pri-vate and franchising company models, advantages and drawbacks, empiria interviews and the reasons of choosing franchising entrepreneurship. A qualitative study was used as a study method, including SWOT-analysis and theme interview. In the study, the objective was achieved through a theory and interviews. The study clarified that the operations model of franchising are increasing in Finland on the basis of the practicality and the good reputation of the business model. In the future it is likely to see that the number of franchising entrepreneurs will be the same as the ordinary entrepreneurs. The study also brought up the fact that it is important to the future entrepreneur to focus on getting information of company forms before the establishment one`s own firm. The entrepreneur should decide himself which form suits his firm best. It would be good for the future entrepreneur to think also about the fact whether there it is sufficient motivation to really become an entrepreneur. The opening of the company challenges many resources, such as physical, mental and economic ones and the life of one`s family can also be influenced....

Työ- ja esimiestyytyväisyys yrityksessä X

Työhyvinvointi on tämän päivän tietoyhteiskunnassa keskeinen yrityksen kilpailutekijä. Työhyvinvoinnin avulla voidaan vähentää sairauspoissaoloja ja vaikuttaa siten yrityksen kustannustehokkuuteen ja sitä kautta yrityksen kannattavuuteen. Työhyvinvoinnin avulla saavutetaan toiminnan parempaa laatua ja asiakastyytyväisyyden nousua ja edelleen kilpailukykyä. Innostuneen ja tehokkaan työn taustalla on aina työhönsä tyytyväinen ja hyvinvoiva henkilöstö. Hyvinvoivassa työyhteisössä osaaminen lisääntyy ja koko organisaation oppiminen paranee, minkä seurauksena syntyy innovaatioita ja mahdollisesti myös uusia palveluja ja tuotteita. Ne mahdollistavat pysyvän kilpailuedun.
Tämän opinnäytetyön toimeksiantaja on globaali IT- palveluyritys, joka toimii yli 40 eri maassa ja työllistää noin 72 000 henkilöä. Kohdeyrityksen Suomen maayhtiö on viime vuosien aikana kokenut paljon muutoksia useiden yritysostojen ja fuusioitumisten myötä. Lisäksi viimeaikoina toimintaan on vaikuttanut YT-neuvottelut, tuleva organisaatiomuutos sekä jälleen omistajan vaihtuminen. Lisäksi teknologian kehitys, työntekijöiden maantieteellinen hajaantuneisuus ja etätyön mahdollisuus ovat omiaan vaikuttamaan yrityksen toimintaan.
Tämän opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli kartoittaa yritys X:ssä toimivan HRM-järjestelmien asiakastuessa toimivan tiimin työtyytyväisyyden ja esimiestyytyväisyyden nykytila. Tarkoituksena oli löytää työ- ja esimiestyytyväisyydelle kehittämiskohteita ja – ehdotuksia, jotka toimivat käytännön työvälineenä tiimin esimiehelle.
Opinnäytetyön teoreettisena viitekehyksenä toimi työtyytyväisyyttä ja esimiestyötä käsittelevä kirjallisuus ja teoriat. Tutkimus toteutettiin kyselytutkimuksella, jossa tutkimusaineisto kerättiin kyselylomakkeen avulla. Kyselyn vastausprosentiksi muodostui 76 %:a. Yhteenveto tutkimustuloksista esitettiin myös kohdetiimille ja sen esimiehelle.
Tutkimustuloksista selvisi, että kohdetiimi on melko tyytyväinen työhönsä ja esimiehen toimintaan. Työn parhaina asioina pidettiin työskentelyä asiakkaiden kanssa, asiakkaiden tyytyväisyyttä, työn monipuolisuutta ja mahdollisuutta oppia uutta. Esimies sai tutkimuksen mukaan eniten kiitosta palautteen antamisesta, kannustamisesta, joustavuudesta sekä ymmärtäväisyydestä ja kuuntelemisesta.
Tutkimuksesta selvinneet suurimmat kehityskohteet liittyivät yhteisiin palaverikäytäntöihin, joita toivottiin lisää. Muita tutkimuksesta ilmenneitä kehittämiskohteita oli koulutuksen lisääminen, joka mahdollistaisi tasapuolisemman työnjaon. Tutkimuksesta ilmeni, että esimieheltä toivottiin enemmän läsnäoloa ja yhteydenpitoa sekä hallinnollisten ohjeiden ja toimintatapojen selkeyttämistä ja asioista ajan tasalla pitämistä....

The impact of change on workplace Case: Company X The thesis was carried out for a retail trade company in the province of Länsi-Uusimaa. The purpose of this thesis was to examine how organizational changes affected the examined workplace. The company had previously carried out studies which had proved that there are problems in the workplace. The research problem was examined via job satisfaction, work atmosphere and motivation. The theoretical framework of this thesis was based on workplace management, change management, job satisfaction improvement and work quality. The research method was based on a qualitative study and dialogical thematization. The purpose was to find an explanation to an existing phenomenon and to find cause-effect relationships. The material was collected by using questionnaires. 15 employees answered the research questions. The results revealed important discoveries. In particular, pressure, hour savings, stress, fast pace of work and lack of information damaged the workplace atmosphere. Changes reduced work ability, work atmosphere and job satisfaction. For example managerial activities, monotonous work tasks, insufficient information and haste affected the state of job satisfaction. Increased motivation had a positive effect on job satisfaction. In conclusion, it can be said that job satisfaction, work atmosphere, change management and motivation were significantly interconnected. Especially insufficient information and monotonous work tasks had a weakening effect to workplace. The development proposal of this thesis points out that in the future the company should promote communication and shift planning. The purpose of communication is to support change situations. The shift planning must aim for diversifying the work tasks. The development proposals will improve job satisfaction and atmosphere at the workplace. A suggested topic for further research is communication in change situations. Further re-search should find out how communication should be implemented in a change situation. The research should review communication channel, communication content and communication volume....

Development of an invoicing - process: a case study of Company X This thesis focuses on the development of the invoicing - process in the target organization, Company X. The purpose of this assignment is to describe the current invoicing - process in the target organization and to examine the areas that are in need of development in the fu-ture. The main purpose of the project is to identify the solutions that will increase automa-tion and efficiency in Company X's invoicing process. The research is based on theory, which is used to frame the main topic and delineate the area to be examined. The theoretical section examines financial management and accounting prin-ciples, which provide a context for other sections of this work. The necessity of this study for the target organization emerged as a result of modifications in the organization's support services and the need for reform of its internal processes. An empirical study was carried out to support this research, the purpose of which was to ex-amine those issues and points of views that need to be developed in Company X's invoicing process. The study was conducted using qualitative research methods. The methods selected included interviews, observations and information based on documents. A total of five inter-views were conducted, of which two were with employees working in Company X's invoicing team, two were with the supervisors of the project managers and one was with a project manager. The data acquired from the interviews was analyzed by using content analysis. The results of the research were examined from the perspective of cash management, working capital and invoicing speed. The results of this research indicate that there are certain areas which affect invoicing pro-cess efficiency and need to be developed. These areas are connected to the target organiza-tion's invoicing team, but also to the project managers and their supervisors. The most im-portant areas of development include the modification of the invoicing schedule, further edu-cation for the project managers in invoice creation and the establishment of an electronic archive. Based on these results and information a development proposal was drawn up with the pur-pose of showing singular solutions in the development of Company X's invoicing process. In future there is the possibility to reduce costs in the invoicing process, develop the speed in allocating working capital and increase the stability of the cash-flow, as well as to develop more environmentally-friendly procedures....

Comparison of Human Resource Research Results Case: Edita Prima The Edita Group, which is the leading communications service provider in the Nordic Countries, is the client of this thesis. The focus will be on Edita Prima, which is part of the Edita Group. Edita Prima provides a full range of graphic design communication services and employs over 170 people in Helsinki, Finland. The main purpose of this thesis is to develop a comprehensive insight to the background of Edita Prima and its current situation with regards to employee satisfaction. In order to achieve this, the work atmosphere, team spirit, flow of information between all employees and the immediate actions of the managers are to be considered. The objective is to improve employee satisfaction throughout these areas within the Edita Prima organisation. The theoretical part of this thesis consists of the analysis of the organisational culture, the vision of company values in the daily actions of employees at work and the meaning of interaction within a working environment. The themes which will be discussed are; the employee survey, working culture, working atmosphere, trust, equality, conflict situations, communications, flow of information, the possibility to make a difference, polite behaviour, the giving and receiving of feedback and decision making. Current Finnish literature is the main source of information. The data used in this thesis is mainly based on the comparisons between the employee surveys conducted in 2012 and 2013 by the Edita Group. The human resources department of the Edita Group conducted the 2012 employee survey and Innolink Research Ltd conducted the 2013 survey, along with the human resources department of the Edita Group. As the data from 2013 was quantitative, five employees of Edita Prima were interviewed in order to provide a qualitative aspect to the research. The interviews highlighted issues in employees’ experiences, opinions on the themes of the research and current state and development plans of the organisation.
