Sosiaalinen media on luonut Internetiin ihmisille uuden sähköisen olohuoneen. Internetissä on nykyisellään runsaasti erilaisia sosiaalisen median portaaleita ja niillä on miljoonia käyttäjiä. Sosiaalisen median käyttäjämäärät jatkavat vääjäämättä kasvuaan ja niiden avulla yrityksille ja yrittäjille on tullut paljon uusia liiketoiminnan mahdollisuuksia.
Tämän opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena on tutkia sosiaalisen median luomia mahdollisuuksia liiketoiminnalle sekä luoda liiketoimintasuunnitelma. Työn avulla pyritään luomaan liiketoimintasuunnitelma sosiaalisen median yritykselle. Työssä on kaksi osaa. Ensimmäisessä osassa luodaan käytännön liiketoimintasuunnitelma. Toisessa osassa keskitytään liiketoimintasuunnitelman sekä sosiaalisen median teoriaan ja mahdollisuuksiin. Teorian tarkoituksena on tukea käytännön osiota. Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena on luoda liiketoimintasuunnitelma, jolla voidaan perustaa toimiva ja tulevaisuudessa tuottava yritys.

The online process of applying for a secured loan The process of acquiring a secured loan online will develop greatly in the future. Applying for a loan online is already possible and in the future it will become fully electronic. This thesis explores the loan process and focuses on examining how customers will be able to apply for mortgages online using the netbank of Helsinki OP Bank. Particular attention is paid to the relevant regulations and guidelines regarding secured loans, possible problems encountered and how the process could become completely electronic in the future. This topic was chosen because the mortgage is the most typical secured loan applied for by Finnish people. In the thesis a considerable amount of internal material from Helsinki OP Bank was used. From the company intranet basic information was obtained, concerning the corporate parties in the loan process and how the process currently works. Published sources were consulted with respect to the information presented about the secured loan, security and guarantee. The web pages of the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority were used to obtain information about recommended standards. However the most important source of information came from interviews where the financial experts of Helsinki OP Bank were interviewed. They provided much information not available on either the intranet or internet and were able to describe future trends in the lending process. In the future it is likely that the process of acquiring a secured loan will be possible to complete online. It may take a long time but the trend is moving in this direction. All the people that were interviewed agreed that the loan process would be electronic in the future and this is the OP-Pohjola group's objective. Currently, there are still many technical challenges that restrict the processing of secured loans online. The biggest one concerns securities that currently are not electronic documents. Electronic forms of securities allow the development of the loan process, but the government and all banks must cooperate closely when they create an electronic database. After this it is possible to solve other problems such as customer identification and electronic signature. After solving the technical challenges it will be possible to change regulations and guidelines. The process of acquiring secured loans online will develop further in the future. Helsinki OP Bank is involved in the RaPu –project, which is developing the loan process and all the systems that support the process. The creation of the electronic database is the biggest task that has to be done when developing the online process. The OP-Pohjola-Group cannot create this kind of database alone, and investment must also come from the government and other banks. However, the online processing of secured loans will be reality after they have solved these problems. Then it will be possible to apply for a secured loan, such as a mortgage, online, deliver the required do-cuments online and sign the bond online. When the processing of secured loans is completely electronic it will be possible for a customer to get the loan without leaving home....

Tämän opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli kehittää toimeksiantajayrityksen tuotto- ja kuluvarausprosessia. Yrityksessä oli aiemmin luotettu vanhasta operatiivisesta järjestelmästä saatavaan informaatioon, joka osoittautui puutteelliseksi. Tästä johtuen yrityksen tuotto- ja kuluvaraukset arvioitiin virheellisesti. Opinnäytetyön tuloksena tämä ongelma tiedostetaan nyt yrityksessä paremmin. Tarkan arvion tuottamiseksi luotiin kokonaan uusi varausprosessi, joka ei perustu operatiivisesta järjestelmästä saatavaan informaatioon, vaan työntekijöiden keräämään taloudelliseen informaatioon.
Muutos kosketti noin 35:ttä yrityksen työntekijää. Uusi prosessi otettiin käyttöön keväällä 2011 ja se on edelleen käytössä. Uuden toimintatavan myötä yritys pystyy keräämään tärkeää taloudellista informaatiota toiminnastaan ja sai hyvän pohjan luoda erilaisia taloudellisia raportteja tarpeen mukaan. Prosessia kehitetään jatkuvasti vastaamaan niin sisäisiä kuin ulkoisiakin raportointivaatimuksia. Opinnäytetyön tavoitteet saavutettiin ja yrityksen johto on ollut tyytyväinen muutoksen tuloksena saatavaan informaatioon....

The development of social skills in WiseLead Oy´s JET -program The objective of this thesis was to investigate how leaders´ social skills have changed in WiseLead Oy´s training program for leaders. Four leaders from Wiselead Oy’s customer Organization X took part in this research. These four leaders had been attending a two-year training program and their training was almost complete. One main research problem and three sub-problems were composed for this research. The main research problem was how the training program has affected the social skills of the leaders in Organization X. Qualitative research method was applied in this thesis. The first step in the research was to analyze the learning assignments used in the training program. Every leader had to do six learning assignments during the program. Learning assignments were analyzed by a content analyzing method. The learning assignments were analyzed based on predetermined themes. The themes were derived from Daniel Goleman´s theory of emotional intelligence. The theory of emotional intelligence can be divided into social skills and personal skills. In this thesis, only the social skills were taken into consideration and researched. Interviews were conducted based on the analysis of the learning assignments. The interviews were mainly based on the questions and statements that arose when analyzing the learning assignments and the interviews were also based on the same themes as the learning assignment analysis. The interviews were conducted as theme interviews and they were analyzed by categorizing the gathered data according to different themes. The results indicated that the improvement of social skills in the JET -training program depends a lot on the individual in question. However, the training program focused mainly on the social skills defined in this research. Only the ability to empathize was a theme that that could not be found in the program according to the interviewees. Especially communications, the ability to solve conflicts and develop and train others could be found in the program. This research proved that the training program has improved the leaders’ social skills. However, based on this research, it can be concluded that the results cannot be generalized. Still, it can be generalized that the leaders who participated in the program got certainty to their daily leading....

The subject of this thesis was to find out how a Finnish company can successfully start with Russian trading activities. The Client of the research was Riihimäki-Hyvinkää Chamber of Commerce which together with the Finnish Chamber of Commerce wants to support its members in the start-up of Russian trading activities. The client hoped to get information especially about the Yekaterinburg market, as there was an introductory trip to the city arranged for the members of the society whilst the research was still on-going. This thesis is going to serve as a source of information for those members of the Riihimäki-Hyvinkää Chamber of Commerce who are interested in expanding their businesses to Russia. The research was carried out using a qualitative research method. The data was collected by themed interview. About ten people took part in the interviews in St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg and Finland. The interviewees were either involved in specialized tasks as an expert or were managers in a Finnish company in Russia or they had experience in the partnership between the Finnish and the Russian companies. Some of the interviewees were Finnish and some Russian. The themes of the interview were the start-up of Russian trading activities, getting a business partner, the Russian operational environment, culture and adaption to Russia. These themes where chosen based on literature. The results of the interviews were quite congruent with the literature. The choice of the right persons and ability to create connections are primary issues when starting Russian trading activities successfully. If the aim is for example to start an operational unit in Russia with Finnish manager and Russian subordinates, the Finnish manager has to be able to develop his or her management style towards a more hierarchical and controlling one. As further study it would be interesting to research Russian organizational culture more deeply; especially the relationship between a Russian subordinate and Finnish manager and the development of relations so as to be as profitable businesswise as possible. In addition it would be interesting to know how much use this thesis was to the members of Chamber of Commerce who head to Russia, and was there something else that they would have needed....
