Study Material on Order Delivery Chain The theme of this thesis was to produce study material about supply chain for the logistics students at Keuda Vocational College. The thesis was a project and was made as an assign-ment for Keuda Vocational College. The contact person was the logistics lecturer, Ms Päivi Lindstedt. The purpose was to make study material which includes a theory booklet, a PowerPoint slide show, exercises and an exam. There was a need for new material because the old study material was not good. New Study materials have to respond to the Vocational College’s curriculum. The target was that students understand the idea of Supply Chain. The challenge was revised information for the purpose of Study Material. The sources were the literature about supply chain. All the parts of the study material were made with Ms Office programmes. The final report of the project describes the starting point and the targets of the project. The practical details are described closely. The theory section discusses the idea of supply chain and concepts of supply chain. The report contains also the self-assessment of learning during this project and an evaluation of the project....

Business-to-business marketing is a growing phenomenon in the social media environment and its studying is challenging and interesting. The study prob¬lems were: customer relationship management, practical problems, and the biggest benefits of social media. The methods of the thesis research were qualitative content analysis and case study analysis. The research material consisted of social media services in which business-to-business mar¬keting was used and from interviews with three companies, in which social media business-to-business marketing was used visibly. Updating the Business Plan for ILVES The topic of the thesis deals with a new business plan and the evaluation of its functionality for the target company. This study is a project and it was commissioned by ILVES, a company in the household equipment branch. The company wanted to remain anonymous because of the sensitive material released in this study. The research is important and current for the target company because of the sudden changes in the market situations and because of a new store being opened nearby. Collecting the necessary information was the biggest challenge in this project. Data was col-lected both from external and from internal sources, after which it was processed to serve the company. Gathering information was divided into seven categories: the present situation of the company, analysis of the branch, analysis of the competitors, choosing the strategy, setting the goals and the plan to achieve these goals. Material was obtained from marketing research, the company’s history, literature of the branch, local influential persons and from the research made in cooperation with the company. The results of the study show that Ilves needs quick strategic improvements. The most impor-tant internal development targets were sales revenue and storage cycle. The external targets that need most development were marketing planning and increasing and stabilizing the mar-ket share both in the old and the new store. Customer satisfaction research of image influences to satisfaction in house loan process In the last ten years, there have been many remarkable changes in house loan markets. Interest rates have increased and decreased, which has affected house prices and also potential house loan customers. Bank services are developing continuously and also the house loan process must be functional from the customer’s perspective. The purpose of this research was to discover how satisfied Nordea Bank Finland’s customers are with the loan process and with the service that they receive, and also how the image influences customer behavior and satisfaction with the service. The purpose of this research was to discover how customers of Nordea Bank reserve time for the house loan negotiation, how easily customers reserve times and how they feel about the personal service and its quality. The theoretical context of the thesis consists of image marketing, quality of service and customer satisfaction. The research method was a quantitative research method. The research was implemented with a structured questionnaire. Questionnaires were delivered in Nordea Bank between July and November 2008 to those customers who went to a house loan negotiation. The response rate to the research paper was 60 percent. Based on the results of the research, it can be said that those who went to a house loan negotiation between July and November 2008 were satisfied with Nordea Espoo-Piispansilta office’s service and operation. It was also noticed that the service was easy and pleasant to reach for customers. Customers were also very pleased with personnel who served them....

The future of Finnish accounting companies from the point of view of strategy and service This thesis is made by assignment of Taloushallintoliitto ry. The purpose of this thesis is to expound the present state and future of the Taloushallintoliitto ry’s authorized member accounting companies. The other purpose is to discover if development needs many permutations based on the geographic location. The accounting company industry is in the middle of several changes and these changes demand reaction from the whole industry. Such a change is the fact that soon clients accounting voucher can be fully transferred through the internet. At the same time there will be changes in the European Union legislation. The development in Finland depends on changes in the whole area of the European Union. The purpose of these alteration plans is to harmonize legislation and acts, and also bring the electronic services in every member country into the 21st century. Uniting Europe provides for Finnish accounting companies the possibility to become internationalized. Electronic services can be provided everywhere, if the knowledge and data systems are controlled in the accounting company. This thesis includes a theoretical context, which consists of the present state of accounting companies. The future is evaluated from the view of the development, e-invoices, internationalization and competition. These are the opportunities and threats of accounting companies. The research section of the thesis examines the results of the quantitative research inquiry. Members of Taloushallintoliitto ry were sent the inquiry by email, which contains questions about their present state and near future from the point of view of services and strategies. The results show that the accounting company industry contains many offices where 1-4 employees work, so small offices are the majority. These offices offer traditional services such as bookkeeping and payroll computation. The supply of services includes reporting and consulting services. In the future customized services are offered by these offices, which already offer the wider supply of services. Offices have established the strategy and plan of action for the future. Most respondents chose the organic growth, instead of growth by acquisitions or downsizing. Inquiry confirmed that there will be changes in the industry field, but the majority of respondents assumed that the demand for their services would be growing during the next five years....

Beverage pavement return logistics The purpose of this bachelor’s study was to examine the lining drinking return logistics, Inex Partners Ltd logistics centre in Kilo and restore the chain of Inex Partners Ltd vicinity. The topic is very contemporary, because the volumes are large cans, recycling plastic bottles have become Deposit on the market in early 2008 and washable plastic bottles from the market removal of recycled plastic bottles, and the way has led to impressive growth in volume. The thesis examines how and where the bottles come from Inex Partners Ltd, what happens to them Inex Partners Ltd, and how and where they Inex Partners Ltd are going. The purpose is to investigate whether the activity in question is the best solution for Inex Partners Ltd as well as the potential for development of this return chain so that the chain would work smoothly and efficiently. The work was carried out as a qualitative research. Data collection was carried out as inter-views and e-mail messages. This thesis discusses analyses the target company Inex Partners Ltd, and in particular its logistics operations. An integral part of the refund system for bever-age containers pledge is Palautuspakkaus Finland Inc, namely Palpa and Ekopulloyhdistys As-sociation, who administer the various beverage bottles and cans refunded in Finland. Based on the work development proposals have been drawn up primarily to Inex Partners Ltd, but also to the other parties in the restore chain. Restore Point the bottle should be packed in transport units according to the instructions of Palpa, Inex Partners Ltd should organize the carriage of the material or to invest in new equipment and infrastructure in order for the reversible recycled plastic bottles or cans could be processed further party already by Inex Partners Ltd. In addition, from Inex Partners Ltd's point of view the most sensible place for further processing, ie Lassila & Tikanoja in Kerava Self operations would become more efficient by streamlining its functions as well as organising better opening hours. As a result of the research a large number of smaller and larger developments of ideas were born which are believed to benefit the work of Inex Partners Ltd, and the other parties involved in the return chain. Therefore, I believe that the work meets the various requirements of its stakeholders. Kosmetiikkabrändin tuominen Suomeen

Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena on antaa tiivis tietopaketti uuden kosmetiikkabrändin tuomisesta Suomen markkinoille. Työn avulla voi joko tuontia suunnitteleva tai muuten aiheesta kiinnostunut saada näkökulmia ja vinkkejä aiheesta. Työn tutkimusosio tehtiin kvalitatiivisena haastattelututkimuksena kahdelle tuonnin parissa työskennelleelle henkilölle.
Työ jakautuu kahteen osaan, teoriapohjaiseen ja informatiiviseen osuuteen kosmetiikasta, brändistä ja brändäyksestä, tuontitoiminnasta ja Suomen markkinoista, sekä esimerkkiyritysten avulla tehdystä tutkimusosiosta. Ensimmäisessä osuudessa kerrotaan yleisesti kosmetiikasta sekä siihen liittyvistä liiketoiminnallisista aiheista, brändin ja brändäyksen merkityksestä kosmetiikan näkökulmasta, tuonnista ja siihen liittyvistä prosesseista sekä Suomen markkinoista niin tuonnin kuin kosmetiikan kannaltakin.
Opinnäytetyön toinen osio esittelee ensin kaksi esimerkkibrändiä, Skin Nutritionin ja Vichyn. Näistä Vichy on apteekkikosmetiikkasarja ja Skin Nutritionist nutrikosmetiikkasarja. Esimerkkibrändien edustajille tehtiin henkilöhaastattelut valmiiden kysymysten pohjalta. Haastatteluissa selvitettiin brändien alkuvaiheita, tuontiin liittyviä prosesseja sekä muita kohtia jotka tulee ottaa huomioon kosmetiikkabrändin tuomisessa Suomeen. Kysymykset oli lajiteltu aihealueittain jotta saataisiin mahdollisimman eheä kuva jokaisesta aiheesta. Haastattelu oli vapaamuotoinen, ja sen tärkeimmät kohdat tiivistettiin ja litteroitiin opinnäytetyöhön.
Haastatteluista saatiin kallisarvoista tietoa kosmetiikkabrändin Suomeen tuomisen monista eri vaiheista. Haastatteluiden perusteella havaittiin, että uuden kosmetiikkabrändin tuominen Suomeen on monimutkainen prosessi, mutta Suomen kuuluminen EU:hun tekee tuonnin helpoksi ja turvalliseksi. Suomeen tuonti on järkevää myös siksi, että Suomen pienuus ei aiheuta liikaa kilpailua ja suomalaiset koetaan luotettaviksi. Brändin kannalta tärkeimmiksi asioiksi nousivat brändin takana olevan yrityksen koko ja tunnettuus. Pienen yrityksen on helpompi ja nopeampi tuoda uusi brändi maahan, sillä päätökseen vaikuttavia johtoportaita on vähemmän. Tuonnin helppouteen vaikuttavat kuitenkin merkitsevästi myös tuontimaan ja valmistusmaan erot niin kommunikointi- kuin tuontikäytänteissäkin. Suuren ja pienen kosmetiikkayrityksen tuontiprosessin kestossa voi olla usean vuoden ero.
Kosmetiikkabrändin tuominen Suomeen on kannattavaa niin markkinoiden kuin tuonninkin näkökulmasta. Tärkeää on, että tuotavalla kosmetiikkabrändillä on tarjottavaa jotain uutta suomalaisille kuluttajille sekä Suomen kosmetiikkamarkkinoille. Tärkeintä on usko brändiin ja sen menestymiseen jo ennestään vilkkailla kosmetiikkamarkkinoilla....

Quality of Service Evaluation and Development - Case: Bank X’s Consumer Credits The purpose of this Bachelor’s thesis was to study quality of service and its development in Bank X’s customer meetings in which the subject was consumer credits. This theme was cho-sen because nowadays quality is considered one of the banks’ key factors for success. Competition for customers is constantly intensifying in the banking world and there are no significant differences in the supply or pricing between different banks. Therefore, the quality of service determines today the competitive advantage of a bank. Service quality research was limited to concern just consumer credits, because the topic was timely by reason of the prevailing economic situation. The theory of this research is mainly based on the theory of quality of service and its development together with the theory of customer service process. Financial companies’ high-quality customer service situation is progressing step by step as a process. The process includes five steps and its correct following is the condition of good quality production. The current status of the quality of service was studied in order to find out what customers think of the quality of service currently in Bank X. The research questions were formulated in such a way that they adapted and proceeded such as a frame of high-quality customer service process. The charting of the current status was conducted by interviewing bank customers. In addition to the same interview to questions were also sought answers in query form. The results of the charting indicated that customers are satisfied to Bank X’s friendly, calm, professional, pleasant and understandable service. However, in terms of quality of service there was also room for improvement. Compliance with the customer service process was successful in some stages of the process, but particularly the second stage of the five-stepped process requires development. The results indicated that in surprisingly large part of customer meetings stage two was jumped over almost completely. However, it is just this particular stage, which is very important to the success of the process. Based on the results from current status of quality of service, training and regular joint meetings were chosen as a concrete method for improving the quality of service. The introduction of training sessions and joint meetings was planned in this thesis in such way that they would support as well as possible the increase of the quality of service in Bank X. Implementation for the use of this plan remains on the shoulders of the Bank X....
