Customer Satisfaction Survey, FitnesSpa – A health club for women The purpose of this survey was to find out how satisfied the customers of FitnesSpa are with the services they are offered by the company. The goal was to gather information regarding customer habits, wishes, needs and other various things that affect their customership. The survey also tried to locate specific areas, where the services are lacking from customer viewpoint. The theoretic context of the survey was established by different parts of customer satisfaction, service and quality concepts and the connection between these aspects. The current situation of the wellness market in Finland is also briefly introduced in the theory section of this paper. The survey was conducted as a customer satisfaction survey. The data was collected with a qualitative method using focus group meetings. The meetings were voluntary and participated by FitnesSpa customers, who wanted to personally influence the everyday operation of FitnesSpa. The group meetings were held in early 2009. Based on the survey’s results, the customers feel that FitnesSpa is a well-balanced concept, which offers all the necessary services. The most positive aspects were good location, atmosphere, customer service, services in general and the price level. Negative areas were mainly the relatively cramped conditions of some areas e.g. the dressing room and the gym. Based on the survey, it appears that a certain sense of community is present at FitnesSpa, which means that customer ties are strong and will not break easily. The customers are willing to accept a move to a new location, if the new location is in close vicinity of Kerava center. The main challenge and area of development will be finding a new suitable location for the business, and maintaining the strong sense of community with the customers....

The Alcolock as a way to better the safety of traffic A law on alcolock came into force 1 July 2008. This law gives a person convicted for driving under the influence of alcohol the right to drive a car with an alcolock instead of driving ban. The Ministry of Transport and Communications Finland set 21 March 2003 up a work group to look into alcolock´s qualities and possibilities to stop drunken driving. Ramboll Finland Oy has also studied voluntary using of alcolock. Studies have shown a positive effect of alcolock to better the safety of traffic. The theme of this thesis is to study alcolock’s possibilities to stop driving under the influence of alcohol. There is not much literature on alcolock yet but there are a couple of studies that were published a few years ago. Ramboll Finland Oy has Internet pages about the voluntary use of alcolock. The opinions of alcolock users who have convicted of drunken driving were studied by order of The Ministry of Transport and Communications Finland and the report that was published in 2007 has been used as source material in this thesis. The invitation letters for interview of that study where sent to over thirty people but only ten people answered. Generally people think that the use of alcolock is shameful. The interviews revealed problems with the use of alcolock. Efforts are being made to solve these problems and there is will to improve the already verified experiment. There seems to be a need for training and information. The alcolock has been in use in for example in Sweden and the United States. These countries have realized the positive effects of alcolocks for the safety of traffic. Finland’s weather brings more challenges to alcolock`s technical improvement. People who where interviewed for the examination had faced problems about using alcolock in cold weather. However, the alcolock will very likely be compulsory for taxies which drive students to school. If problems about using alcolocks will be solved at least in a satisfying way, the alcolock could get a bigger role when punishing drunk drivers and preventing driving under the influence of alcohol. At the moment the big costs related to the use of an alcolock means that everybody cannot start to use an alcolock....

Legal risks relating to Open Innovation System service The aim of this thesis has been to investigate what legal risks there are pertaining to the Open Innovation Banking System service, and what laws and decrees regulate these matters. I chose the copyright law and the laws regulating social media for the point of departure for the study. The rights and responsibilities of an individual have the leading role when using services provided by social media. Information created by the author or authors is interesting and certainly encourages also students to produce information. From the viewpoint related with the copyright law, it is interesting how these matters have been interpreted within the law, and how the responsibilities and rights have been distributed. The copyright law as a law is constantly changing, and in Finland, in connection with international relations it is also necessary to take the legislation valid in other countries and the EU directives into consideration. It was proven in the study that, even though laws and the agreement defining the usage terms and conditions have a great significance when using the Open Innovation Banking System service, an individual’s own human behaviour plays an equally great and significant role, too. How many of us know what is allowed to be published in the Internet and what responsibility do those people have who are involved with the Personal Data Act by virtue of their work. A new way of learning is important even from the viewpoint of developing studying. I hope the final result provides new kind of innovations for all of us citizens. Conclusions of this new service can be drawn not later than after a few years, after we have become aware of the benefits and disadvantages of the use of the service....

The increase of insurer’s duty of disclosure in unit-linked insurances: Case Tapiola Bachelor’s thesis examines the insurer’s duty of disclosure while selling unit-linked insurances. The primary goal was to study the current state and the effect of future changes in sales situation. The rightness of sales material and regulations in Life Insurance Company Tapiola compared to regulations mentioned in Insurance Contracts Act and in good sales practice is also studied. According to Insurance Contracts Act, sufficient information has to be given to the customer before the contract is signed. The insurer’s duty of disclosure before the contract is signed, means that the customer has to be aware of his needs to buy the insurance and to be able to choose the product most suitable for himself. Unit-linked life insurance is a complicated insurance product which is regulated by Insurance Contracts Act. The problem is today, that Insurance Contract Act is legislated before investments policy even existed. The renewal of this law encloses the Insurance Contracts Act with other laws regulating investing. The theoretical part consists of statutes affecting the regulations of insurer’s duty of disclosure. The most important sources are Insurance Contracts Act, Law of Contractual Obligation, submission of renewal of Insurance Contracts Act, the directions of good sales practice of Insurance Supervision Authority and other literature of this branch....
