The purpose of the thesis is to study how the EU’s new general data protection regulation effects an art school. I made the thesis to the Lohja’s regional art school Supporting Association. Theory parts were mostly based on the EU's general data protection regulation and a book designed to study the GPRD from smaller organizations perspective. The thesis involved legal design, the use of service design in jurisdictions. Initially, I studied what of the art school’s practices needed to change, and compared the current state of the art school and the requirements of the data protection regulation. A benchmarking method was then used to examine different privacy statements, I used a completed version, and some data protection templates. As a result of the thesis, the principal of the arts school concluded that the easiest way to implement the regulations required by the data protection regulation is to create a privacy statement. The basis for the report was the requirements set out in the Data Protection Regulation for what must be reported to the data subjects. The my conclusions state that the Data Protection Regulation is specifically designed for larger organizations where automated decision-making takes place, and personal data is used for example targeted advertising. For smaller, local organizations, the new GDPR produces more things to be done. You need to be thoroughly aware what GDPR consist, for example what needs to be told to the registrars about how the personal information is involved and where....

The thesis was conducted for Trap Factory Oy, which produces experience and leisure services. A marketing plan was designed to improve the company's reputation, sales and market share. In addition, the aim was to make the marketing planned, systematic and easy to follow. The company's current operations and development aspects were examined through various starting point analyzes. That also provided a solid foundation for the future development targets presented in the study and for selected marketing strategies. An action plan and a follow-up plan for 2018 were created for the selected marketing actions, which can be utilized and, if necessary, independently edited by the company. In addition, the study included a survey that was intended to identify the most important marketing channels for the company in the Greater Helsinki area among the companies involved in its activities. The answers of the questionnaire were analyzed and used to assist in the selection of marketing measures. The conclusion was that today's consumers pay most attention to social media and Internet advertising. The company should focus its marketing on digital and Internet advertising. Ohje Yritys X:n osto- ja myyntireskontraan sekä tilausten käsittelyyn

Tämä opinnäytetyö on toiminnallinen opinnäytetyö, jonka tavoitteena oli laatia ohje Yritys X:lle. Keskusteltua toimeksiantaja yrityksen kanssa kävi ilmi, ettei heiltä löydy ohjetta taloushallinnon prosesseista. Näin opinnäytetyön tekijälle syntyi idea ohjeesta osto- ja myyntireskontraan sekä tilausten käsittelyyn.
Opinnäytetyön teoriaosuus koostuu taloushallinnon prosesseista, kuten matka- ja kululaskutuksesta, palkanlaskennasta, kirjanpidosta, raportoinnista sekä arkistoinnista. Teoriassa on pyritty käsittelemään keskeisimmät asiat ja sen on tarkoitus toimia myös tietopakettina lukijalle, joka ei ole aiheeseen niin paljoa perehtynyt. Osto- ja myyntilaskuprosessit ovat käsitelty syvällisemmin omina kappaleinaan, koska ne ovat opinnäytetyön aiheen kannalta oleellisimmat aihealueet.
Opinnäytetyö on kvalitatiivinen eli laadullinen tutkimus. Tutkimus on toteutettu käyttäen havainnointia sekä teemahaastattelua. Tutkimusaineisto saatiin koottua opinnäytetyön tekijän havainnoinnin sekä haastattelussa saatujen vastauksien avulla. Haastatteluun osallistui Yritys X:n omistaja sekä henkilö, joka vastaa yrityksen taloushallinnosta.
Tutkimuksen tulosten avulla laadittiin ohje Yritys X:lle. Ohjetta ei ole julkaistu tässä opinnäytetyössä, koska se on tarkoitettu vain Yritys X:n käyttöön. Sisällysluetteloja voidaan kuitenkin tarkastella opinnäytetyön liitteistä 2,3 ja 4....

The purpose of this practice-based Bachelor’s was to make the first orientation guide for Laurea University of Applied Sciences’ Student Union’ Laureamkos’ new campus agent. The need for the orientation guide has emerged as a result of discussions between the campus members. The purpose of the guide is to fully support the process of introducing a new campus active and to serve as a handbook for every active. The aim of the thesis was to find out the need for an orientation guide and to find out the content of the multidimensional strategy, by using methodological triangulation. This thesis consists of a theoretical background section and an empirial section, in which the writtened part consists of introducing Laureamko - the employer, the theoretical context, the planning of the research process and the analysis of the material. The practice-based part includes the implementation of qualitative research and compilation of the orientation guide. The theoretical context consists of information bases for orientation, mainly from literature and electronic sources. As a research method for qualitative research, semi-structured theme interviews as well as unstructured observation were used. In addition, the Laureamko organization's representatives offered aid throughout the thesis process. The material was analyzed by transcribing the interviews, interpreting the material and compiling the conclusions on which the orientation guide was born. The completed orientation guidebook was presented to campus actives on a training cruise on May 9th 2018, where the final corrections were collected before the guide was introduced. The development proposals at the end of the thesis concentrate on offering information on updating the guidebook. It is important to hear the experiences of the team members and, on the other hand, it is good to encourage them to give feedback if the guide is incomplete or contains outdated information. A customer satisfaction survey was proposed as a further research topic of the new orientation guide user experience....

Motivating and committing temporary agency workers at Varamiespalvelu of Salo The purpose of the thesis work was to research the motivation factors of the temporary agency workers of the Varamiespalvelu of Salo i.e. what motivates them at the moment and how they could be more motivated as well as how committed they are and how they could be more committed. The aim of the thesis was to find out the ways in which Varamiespalvelu of Salo could improve motivation of temporary agency workers and commit them to the company. Through this research the commissioner received information to help them develop new or enhance old motivational and commitment tools. By improving tools Varamiespalvelu of Salo can influence the motivation and commitment of the staff, whereby good employees remain in their service and looks for new assignment from there. In addition to these means the commissioner can influence its employer image so that potential new jobs seekers are more likely to seek work through them. The knowledge base of the thesis consisted from literature on rent work, motivation and commitment, various theories and researches. By utilizing these the aim of the research was to provide different perspectives and increase its reliability. The research was carried out by a qualitative research method using theme interviews from 13.12.2017-28.12.2017. The notes and recordings from the interviews were transcribed followed by an analysis using thematising. The research was carried out by interviewing six employees who were working during summer 2017 and week 42 at Varamiespalvelu of Salo. During this time I performed traineeship at Varamiespalvelu of Salo. I wanted interviewees from this time frame because I knew the selected employees from the past and I could ensure that the employees involved in the research had as diverse backgrounds and experiences as possible. The research showed that the image of Varamiespalvelu of Salo has improved and moved into a more positive direction with experience. All employees were satisfied with the commissioner and its activities. In addition, each employee could apply for a job again and recommend the company to others. At Varamiespalvelu of Salo many were motivated by the fact that the company was interested in their employees, they were encouraged and all things were handled well. Most of the respondents felt that Varamiespalvelu of Salo had been able to motivate them well, they felt that they were committed and in their opinion Varamiespalvelu of Salo could not commit them more. In addition to that, many of the respondents mentioned that they understood the fact that many things were not dependent on the operations of Varamiespalvelu, but how the client company operates and what it decides instead. Varamiespalvelu of Salo could continue to develop its human aspect as it gives them competitive advantage against other companies who are competing of the services of the same employees. In addition, Varamiespalvelu of Salo could focus to improve the employer image for example through social media or through recruiting events. The commissioner could also consider to develop motivation and commitment measures to encourage employees to return, since temporary agency workers are also doing other things between assignments, such as training and studies....

Urheilutapahtuman järjestäminen ja markkinointi : case: juniori-pesäpallotapahtuma

Opinnäytetyön toimeksiantajana oli Järvenpäässä toimiva pesäpalloseura Kinnarin Pesis 2006 ry. Tämä toiminnallinen opinnäytetyö piti sisällään junioripesäpallotapahtuman järjestämisen. Opinnäytetyön päätavoitteena oli onnistuneen urheilutapahtuman järjestäminen. Muita tavoitteita olivat Kinnarin Pesiksen seuraprofiilin vahvistaminen alle 15-vuotiaiden junioripelaajien ja heidän perheidensä osalta sekä Järvenpään alueella asuvien potentiaalisesti junioripesäpallosta kiinnostuneiden nuorten tavoittaminen.
Opinnäytetyön teoreettinen viitekehys koostuu urheilumarkkinoinnista sekä urheilutapahtuman järjestämisestä. Urheilutapahtuman osuutta urheilumarkkinoinnin välineenä avataan. Lisäksi keskitytään sosiaalisen median käyttöön urheilumarkkinoinnissa.
Opinnäytetyön keskeisimpänä tuotoksena oli järjestetty urheilutapahtuma. Tapahtuma oli siihen osallistuneiden sekä toimeksiantajan mielestä onnistunut. Tästä voidaan päätellä, että päätavoite saavutettiin. Muiden tavoitteiden kohdalla ei voida vetää pitäviä johtopäätöksiä siitä, saavutettiinko tapahtuman avulla toivottuja tuloksia. Tämä johtui valittujen tavoitteiden mittarien epätarkkuudesta.
Johtuen järjestetyn tapahtuman tavoitteiden huonosta mitattavuudesta on opinnäytetyön lopuksi luotu muistilista niistä asioista, joita on hyvä huomioida vastaavan kaltaisten tapahtumien järjestämisessä. Muistilistan avulla on tarkoitus pystyä välttämään opinnäytetyön aiheena olleen tapahtuman järjestämisessä kohdatut ongelmat....

This thesis is legal research on family law. The main purpose of this thesis was to examine how regulation of partnerships has changed, what are the factors behind these changes and what is the current state of the regulation. The objective was to gain a sufficient picture of the regulation of partnerships in Finland and how the regulation has changed. In addition, the objective was to reflect if there were any needs for change in the regulation of partnerships in Finland. People have been married throughout history and regulation of marriage has existed for a very long time. Although, the nature of marriage has changed remarkably over time. Cohabitation and same-sex partnerships have existed throughout history but there have been times when they have been prohibited by law. Thus, their position in society has been weaker than that of marriage. There was no regulation of cohabitation or same-sex relationships in Finland before the 21st century. Despite this situation cohabitation has been more and more common since the 70’s and other Nordic countries have had regulation of same-sex partnerships from the late 20th century. Only domestic regulation of partnerships and the types of partnerships (marriage, cohabitation and registered partnership) defined in Finnish legislation were examined in this thesis. Matrimonial property system and certain sectors of family law were excluded from this thesis. The object of this research was the Finnish regulation of partnerships from the early 20th century until the present day. Older legislation and the state of society before the 20th century were also touched upon in this thesis via relevant literature. The knowledge base of this thesis consisted of a relevant legal basis, issues that are specific to regulation of partnerships and the changes in regulation. The objects of the research were; marriage, cohabitation, same-sex partnerships and relevant legislation. The changes in regulation were examined by comparing existing legislation to older legislation and also with the help of legal literature. Relevant literature and preparative legislative work were essential in examining the factors behind these changes. The research method used in this thesis was legal dogmatics, which studies the provisions that are part of a legal system. In addition to legal dogmatics, this thesis contains elements specific to legal history. The thesis examined the regulation of partnerships and the factors behind changes in regulation. The purpose of this thesis was to examine employers’ desires and ideas toward virtual encounters and to map out what they consider to be a functional encounter. The aim of this study was to analyse the collected data and to clarify, what the responders consider to be meaningful for the project. The commissioner of this thesis has been “Sometaduuniin! social media in help at job hunting and recruiting” project. This project is a co-operation between Laurea university of applied science and three other schools. The aim of this co-operation is to develop virtual encounters between students and employers. The plan was to develop an already existing platform, not to create a new one. The theoretical framework of this thesis consists of a description of the recruitment process, virtual encounter and networking. This framework also introduces a few encounter places for students. The study was carried out with a questionnaire. It was carried out mainly using quantitative research method. The research results were analysed with cross tabulation and content analysis. The commissioner provided a specified list of employers that were used as target group. The inquiry received 37 answers. The employers hoped for easier, quicker and more encompassing mutual platform for all schools, because they felt it difficult to advertise same jobs in multiple locations. The most important encounter execution manner turned out to be a chance to ask questions and talk. The respondents, who were interested in new platforms and applications, were also interested in the project. As a development proposition for the project, it was suggested that the project should organise more tempting encounters and to become find out whether one of the existing platforms could be used commonly....
