The objective of the thesis was to provide information and tools on how to improve the sales of the UnionPay agreement for Nets Oy. Using various qualitative and quantitative methods of data collection such as theme interview, form interview and questionnaire the purpose was to examine the experiences and assumptions of merchants about the UnionPay payment option, as well as the payment behavior of UnionPay’s largest end-user group, Chinese tourists. Using various research methods, a comprehensive view of the topic being studied has been obtained. The theoretical framework of the thesis consists of two areas, which are firstly the impact of the UnionPay payment option on profitability and secondly Chinese customer behavior. The profitability of the UnionPay payment option has been examined through a profitability analysis, while Chinese customer behavior has been examined from many different perspectives, which has a connection with the topic that was researched here. As a pivotal result of the research, it is considered that there is information on UnionPay available, but how it reaches merchants is a matter that Nets Oy should scrutinize. The commissioning of the UnionPay payment option has been experienced to be easy, but there exists a need to make it yet easier. A significant number of merchants do not know what the UnionPay Card is and the benefits it brings to Chinese customers. Those Chinese tourists who knew before arriving in Finland that they can pay with UnionPay in certain shops in Finland, used it - each one of them - during their stay in Finland. The UnionPay payment option may be said to bear an influence on the buying and paying behavior of Chinese tourists in Finland. Conclusions and development suggestions for Nets Oy and merchants were formed based on the research results. The most pivotal of these is the UnionPay agreement, in which Nets Oy could make commissioning even easier for merchants. This could be achieved by making the agreement form pre-filled with the information Nets Oy already knows about the company in question. Marketing campaigns of the UnionPay agreement should be targeted at both UnionPay Card end-users and merchants. Seasonal sales should be taken into account in marketing. Merchants' knowledge about the UnionPay Card is superficial and the customers' need for a payment option has a great importance in the merchants' decision, when choosing payment options for the company. Therefore, marketing should emphasize the special features and benefits that the UnionPay Card brings to Chinese customers. As the shopping demands of Chinese tourists change, there also exists a need for the UnionPay payment option to expand from luxury shopping to everyday goods. Therefore, Nets Oy should also disclose this bit of information to an expanding new customer group that has or will have a need for UnionPay payment option....

Kuntosalin laitekannan kehittämissuunnitelma : case: Fitness Club Nurmijärvi

Yritysten kehittäminen on yksi kilpailukeinoista, joten tästä johtuen yritysten tulee tehdä jatkuvasti muutoksia. Muutoksilla pyritään lisäämään kannattavuutta ja samalla myös ylläpitää nykyistä tilannetta, jotta nykyiset asiakkaat saavat sen mitä he haluavat. Fitness Club Nurmijärvellä muutoksilla on vaikutusta nykyisiin asiakkaisiin ja potentiaalisiin asiakkaisiin. Muutoksilla on tarkoitus täyttää käyttäjien tarpeet ja sitä kautta sitten luoda tuottavaa arvoa asiakkaille.
Tämä opinnäytetyö on tehty Fitness Club Nurmijärven toimeksiannosta. Yrityksen toiminta on kuntosaliliiketoimintaa. Se on perustettu vanhan toimijan jatkumoksi vuonna 2016. Laitekanta on siirtynyt oston mukana ja osa on jo uusia laitteita.
Laitekanta on merkittävässä roolissa kuntosaliliiketoiminnassa, joten tästä johtuen siihen on tarvittu uusi kehittämissuunnitelma. Kehittämissuunnitelmalla on tarkoitus ennakoida tulevia investointeja ja samalla kehittää palvelua paremmaksi. Suunnittelulla pyritään ohjaamaan tulevaa ja samalla tutustua paremmin nykyisen asiakaskunnan tarpeisiin ja toiveisiin.
Kehittämistyön avulla olen pyrkinyt löytämään keinot, joilla palvelutuotteesta saataisiin parempi. Menetelminä ovat olleet on ollut yhteiskehittely, koekäyttäminen erilaisilla harjoitusohjelmilla, vertaisanalysoiminen ja eri henkilöiden haastatteleminen. Näillä keinoilla kuntosalista pyritään luomaan parempi. Kerättyjen tietojen avulla, tarkoituksena on täyttää asiakkaiden tarpeet, jotta he tulevaisuudessakin pysyisivät asiakkaina ja samalla vaikuttaa hyvillä valinnoilla potentiaalisiin asiakkaisiin. Tavoitteena on löytää vaihtoehdot, jotka ovat taloudellisesti kannattavia investointeja.
Keskeisimpänä tuloksena oli muutos käytettävyyteen ja säädettävyyteen. Käytettävyyteen vaikuttavat erilaiset pinnoitteet ja käytettävyyteen säädöt mm. ristitaljassa, jolloin eri kokoiset ihmiset pystyvät harjoittamaan lihaksia tarkoituksen mukaisilla kulmilla ja säädöillä. Suunnitelmassa on pyritty ajattelemaan kokonaisvaltaisesti, jotta muutokset eivät vaikuttaisi negatiivisesti toisiin asiakassegmentteihin....

Rekrytointiprosessi työnhakijan näkökulmasta

Tämän opinnäytetyön aiheena oli rekrytointiprosessi työnhakijan näkökulmasta. Opinnäytetyön toimeksiantajana toimi Opteam Yhtiöt Oy, joka toimii ulkoistettuna henkilöstöhankkijana. Toimeksiantajayritys halusi saada tietää tarkemmin työnhakijan tarpeista rekrytointiprosessissa, joten työn tavoitteeksi muodostui selvittää työnhakijoiden ajatuksia, odotuksia ja toiveita rekrytointiprosessista. Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli kehittää toimeksiantajan rekrytointiprosessia vastaamaan tehokkaammin työnhakijan tarpeisiin.
Opinnäytetyön teoreettisessa viitekehyksessä käsiteltiin rekrytointiprosessia, henkilöstöhallintaa, rekrytoinnin kanavia, sosiaalista mediaa rekrytoinnin apuvälineenä sekä asiakaslähtöisen toiminnan perusteita. Teoreettinen viitekehys koostui rekrytointiprosessista ja asiakaslähtöisen toiminnan tarkastelusta. Tutkielma tehtiin kvantitatiivisena eli määrällisenä tutkielmana. Tutkielman perusjoukkona toimivat Laurea-ammattikorkeakoulun tradenomiopiskelijat, koska tutkielmassa haluttiin keskittyä opiskelijoiden kokemuksiin rekrytointiprosessista. Tutkielma toteutettiin verkkokyselyn avulla, ja kysymykset esitettiin pääasiassa strukturoituina kysymyksinä.
Tutkielman tuloksista saatiin selville, että työnhakijalle tärkeitä elementtejä ovat riittävä informaatio rekrytointiprosessin aikana, nopea rekrytointiprosessi ja selkeä kokonaisuus. Näihin elementteihin keskittymällä voidaan parantaa asiakaskokemusta eli työnhakijan työnhaku kokemusta. Tutkielmassa nousi esiin myös se, etteivät työnhakijat vielä hyödynnä sosiaalista mediaa tehokkaasti.
Jatkotutkimusaiheeksi esitettiin tutkimusta, jossa syvennyttäisiin rekrytointiprosessin aikana saatavan informaation sisältöön ja tutkittaisiin mitkä ovat ne konkreettiset asiat, jotka tekevät rekrytoinnista selkeän työnhakijalle....

The thesis was commissioned by the company Oppifi Oy and it was done on the basis of discussions with the company. The objective of this thesis project to gain customer understanding, through which the Epooq service can be improved to meet customer needs and thus enhance the sales. Our aim was to give the company a concrete perspective on service development. Because the (comissioner’s) current service pricing does not take into account the customer’s willingness and capability to pay for the service, an essential part of the work is also about service pricing. In the theoretical framework of the study, customer understanding, service development and pricing are reviewed. The last topic of the theoretical framework is about research methods and the theoretical part focuses on how to prepare and implement quantitative research. The study uses quantitative and qualitative research methods. The study was conducted as an electronic questionnaire for 104 people. Recommendations for the service pricing and development were made based on the results of the survey conducted. A qualitative research method was utilized to support the quantitative research method, with interviews carried out with ten people. The interviews supported the survey and thus the development of the service at a broader level. Based on the results of the study, a recommendation was made on how to price the Epooq-interview package. The results of the survey also outlined aspects to improve sales of the service. The proposal is for the commissioner to pay attention to marketing communications. Other suggestions include an Epooq picturebook, Epooq mobile app and linking the service to genealogy....

Perheyritysten jatkuvuus ja sukupolvenvaihdoksien haasteet

Tämän opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli selvittää perheyritysten jatkamiseen vaikuttavia asioita sekä ymmärtää millaisia haasteita sukupolvenvaihdoksiin liittyy. Kokemuksiin perustuvaa tietoa saatiin perheyrityksien sukupolvenvaihdoksien kokeneilta yrittäjiltä. Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli tuottaa tietoa perheyrittäjyyden jatkamiseen johtaneista syistä sekä sukupolvenvaihdoksessa ilmenevistä hankaluuksista. Opinnäytetyön tutkimusongelma oli seuraava: millaiset asiat vaikuttavat perheyrityksien jatkamiseen sekä minkälaisia haasteita sukupolven vaihdoksiin liittyy?
Opinnäytetyön kehittämistehtävänä oli tunnistaa seuraavien sukupolvien perheyrittäjyyden jatkamiseen vaikuttavia seikkoja ja millaisia haasteita sukupolvet usein kohtaavat yrityksen sukupolvenvaihdoksessa. Näin ollen tutkielman tulosten avulla voitaisiin jatkossa vaikuttaa perheyrittäjien sukupolvenvaihdoksien onnistuvuuteen ja jouhevuuteen. Opinnäytetyön aiheen valinta syntyi tekijän omasta taustasta kasvaa yrittäjäperheessä.
Opinnäytetyön tietoperustan tarkoituksena oli alustaa ja täsmentää tutkielman aihetta sekä luoda pohjaa lopussa esitetyille tuloksille. Opinnäytetyössä käytettiin kvalitatiivista eli laadullista tutkimustapaa. Tutkielman aineisto kerättiin teemahaastatteluilla, joiden tarkoitus oli mahdollistaa yksilöllisten asioiden mielekkään selvittämisen. Opinnäytetyö rajattiin tarkoituksella koskemaan vähintään toisen sukupolven perheyrittäjiä, jotta voitiin varmistua haastatteluun osallistujien omakohtaisista kokemuksista perheyrityksien sukupolvenvaihdoksista.
Opinnäytetyön tuloksissa seuraavan sukupolven perheyrittäjyyden jatkamishalukkuuteen vaikuttivat kasvaminen yrittäjäperheessä, perheeltä saatu tuki sekä pitkän ajan työkokemus perheyrityksessä. Sukupolvenvaihdoksien haasteiksi ilmenivät oikean jatkajan löytäminen sekä perheyrityksen jatkamishalukkuus. Muita sukupolvenvaihdoksien haasteita olivat siihen liittyvät lailliset ja verotukselliset seikat. Tuloksissa korostui myös tutkielman toteutuspaikan Heinolan yksilölliset haasteet, kuten kaupungin suhtautuminen yrittäjyyteen sekä sen tarjoamat mahdollisuudet yrittäjyydelle. Saatuihin tuloksiin vaikuttivat olennaisesti haastateltavat, tutkielman toteutuspaikka ja opinnäytetyön tekijän vaikutus aineistoon.
Jatkotutkimusehdotuksena tämän tutkielman pohjalta, olisi jatkossa käyttää useita eri tutkimusmenetelmiä. Tämän tutkielman pohjalta voitaisiin tehdä tilastollinen kysely tämän hetkisten perheyritysten sukupolvenvaihdoksien tarpeesta. Myös sukupolvenvaihdosprosessien tarkempi tarkastelu olisi tarpeellista. Tapahtuman teeman uudistus ja markkinoinnin onnistuminen sen tiedotuksessa : case: Kulttuuritehdas Korjaamon Stage

Tämän opinnäytetyön aihe on tutkia Kulttuuritehdas Korjaamon Stage festivaalin uudistusten onnistumista. Stage järjestettiin 11. kertaa elokuussa 2017 ja opinnäytetyön tavoite oli selvittää Stage festivaalin kävijöiden mielipiteet Stagen teeman uudistusta ja markkinointia kohtaan. Opinnäytetyön toimeksiantaja Kulttuuritehdas Korjaamo hyötyy opinnäytetyöstä siten, että se saa arvokasta tietoa kävijöidensä asenteista uudistusta ja markkinointia kohtaan ja näitä tietoja hyödyntämällä Stagea voidaan kehittää.
Teoreettinen viitekehys on jaettu kahteen osaan: markkinointiin ja brändiin. Markkinointia käsitellään ensin yleisluontoisesti ja se jälkeen perehdytään tapahtuma-alan markkinointiin ja markkinointiviestintään. Brändiä käsittelevä luku alkaa brändin määrittelemisellä ja syventymällä niihin hyötyihin, joita yritys saa omaamalla vahvan brändin. Sen jälkeen käsitellään brändin uudistamista.
Opinnäytetyön tutkimuksessa käytettiin kvantitatiivista tutkimusmenetelmää. Aineistonkeruumenetelmäksi valittiin kyselylomake ja aineisto kerättiin Stagen aikana 21.-27.8.2017 kävijöiltä henkilökohtaisesti. Kyselylomake todettiin sopivaksi aineistonkeruutavaksi, koska sen avulla voi kerätä ilmiöstä, eli tässä tapauksessa teeman uudistamisesta, yleisen kävijämielipiteen. Tutkimuksesta saatu aineisto tarkastettiin ja sen luotettavuutta analysoitiin huolellisesti ennen kuin tulosten pohjalta ryhdyttiin tekemään johtopäätöksiä ja kehitysehdotus.
Tutkimuksen tuloksista selvisi, että vuoden 2017 Stage oli kävijöiden mielestä onnistunut ja teeman uudistamista pidettiin hyvänä asiana: eri taiteenalojen yhdistäminen miellettiin kiinnostavaksi ja ”tulevaisuus”-teemaa pidettiin toimivana teemana. Tapahtuman markkinointi ja tiedottaminen olisi kuitenkin voinut olla näkyvämpää kävijätutkimuksen tuloksien mukaan. Opinnäytetyön kehitysehdotus painottuu juuri markkinoinnin ja tiedottamisen näkyvyyden lisäämiseen....

Renewal of the crime and measuring the punishment The topic of my thesis is renewal of the crime and measuring the punishment. The renewal of the crime has been demonstrated mainly through statistics and measuring the punishment is introduced through different laws and theory. Orientating to the renewal of the crime has been through statistics and that’s how understanding of renewals and reducing it has been handled in this thesis. One of the targets has been getting to know renewal-statistics and orientating them to the current situation. Especially interesting is, how many criminals are renewals and whats common to them. One topic of the research was also what are the ways to reduce renewals through criminal law. In this thesis there has been a comparison of different age classes and different kinds of crimes amongst them. That’s how it has been possible to get an understanding of crime renewals and the current situation. Measuring the punishment and imposing it is also a relevant part of this thesis and it it obvious that renewal might have an effect on imposing punishment in different stages from picking up the kind of punishment to measuring the length of punishment. Orientating to different punishments has been done mainly through the penal code, imprisonment and youth penalty law. Literature has also been used in this topic to get to know the different divisions which concern the targets and varieties of punishments. It is obvious that striving to reduce renewal has been done through criminal law and there are many ways to try to prevent renewal. One of the targets is through criminal law to give the perception that criminal actions and renewal are not profitable. The aim of this thesis was to compare Finnish and Swedish legislation on child maintenance and to set forth a proposed amendment to the requirements for receiving Finnish maintenance support. There are differences in the calculation of Finnish and Swedish maintenance allowance (underhållsbidrag) and in the conditions for receiving maintenance support (underhållsstöd). The purpose of this thesis is to chart how a child’s maintenance is decided on in the circumstances of its parents’ divorce, and to present the internationally most significant agreements relating to children that create the point of departure for provisions on a child’s rights and benefits at national level, too. In Finland, many families are affected by situations where the parents divorce and by agreements on children’s maintenance following from them. Matters relating to maintenance include; calculating a child’s need for maintenance allowance, the child’s monthly living costs, taking into account any special maintenance circumstances, clarifying the amount of maintenance allowance, who maintenance allowance is paid to, and, if it is not paid, on what conditions maintenance support can be obtained. There are differences in Finnish and Swedish legislation and this thesis aims to set forth the challenges arising from failure to confirm a maintenance agreement that can delay obtaining maintenance support in Finland. This core issue is tackled in more detail along with the proposed amendment. The knowledge base consists of Finnish and Swedish laws on child maintenance; mainly the act on child maintenance and the Swedish act known as föräldrabalken, literature on the field, the decisions of courts and other official sources. The comparison of Finnish and Swedish law has been carried out by looking into and comparing the countries’ legislation, the methods of calculating maintenance, the requirements for receiving maintenance support, some trial materials and legal literature. A maintenance agreement can be freely agreed in Sweden and, upon application, and through insurance (försäkringskassan) pays maintenance support to the parent that lives with the child. Compared to Finland, this differs in that the insurance agency (försäkringskassan) is under an obligation to investigate a noncustodial parent’s ability to pay maintenance and to secure maintenance support for the custodial parent for a month retroactively starting from when it is applied for. This does not require separate confirmation of the maintenance agreement. Correspondingly, in Finland there has to be a maintenance agreement confirmed by social welfare or a court decision on the matter in order to gain the right to any maintenance support. In Finland, the risk is that the child can be left for some time without maintenance. In a situation where a maintenance agreement has failed to be obtained or confirmed and possibly a waiting period before the case is considered by the court (until a court decision has been obtained). In Finland, maintenance support is paid by Kela if the payment of maintenance allowance has been neglected, on condition that there exists a confirmed maintenance agreement or court decision. The thesis finds that, due to the requirements for Finnish maintenance support, there can exist the risk that a child is left for some periods without maintenance. In order for a child’s maintenance to be secured in all situations, the requirements for maintenance support ought to take in account situations where the confirmed maintenance agreement or court decision has not been obtained within such a period in which the child’s maintenance can be safe-guarded for all the months requiring maintenance....
