This thesis project was commissioned by a haircare brand, here referred to as Company X. The purpose of the thesis project was to evaluate the satisfaction of the customers of hairdressers with company’s products, as sold through after sales services. Customer satisfaction was investigated for the perspective of quality, product range and service. Based on the results suggestions for promoting sales and improving customer service were created. Our goal was also to acquire an understanding of the current state of the customer satisfaction with the hairdresser’s service. A quotative research method as chosen for the research, which was delivered through a semi-structured online questionnaire. The theoretical section reviews such areas as the haircare brand, quality, service, customer satisfaction and related areas. The empirical section discusses the implementation of the customer satisfaction survey. The survey responses are then analysed and presented. The research indicated that the hairdresser’s service was generally considered by respondents to be very good, but it was also felt that they should develop their product range and add improvements to the products. Our Thesis was very helpful to the case company and to their co-operative hairdressers....

The objective of the thesis was to organize a skiing trip that would create a better team spirit between the students of Laurea University of Applied Sciences from Hyvinkää campus. The target was to get 20-25 students to participate and to plan an event that would please everyone. Marketing research was used to help with the organizing of the trip. A theory base was also written to support organizing the event. The theory base included information concerning organizing the event and what one should take to account while organizing it. The theory also includes event marketing. Basics of marketing research and research process were also included in the theory. In addition to all this the theory base also included information concerning questionnaires and how to create one. Organizing an event like this as a thesis can be defined as a research thesis as well as a practical one. Organizing the skiing trip was started with research which was implemented by sending a questionnaire to the target group and analysing the answers gained through it. The questionnaire was planned so that it would give out quantitative information so that the answers would be as simple as possible and easier to analyse. The practical part of the thesis was to organize the event as well as all the planning and investigation that it includes. While organizing the event, two separate questionnaires were done. The first one was distributed to the whole target group via email and its target was to clarify the students’ interest in participating to the trip. The purpose of the questionnaire was to find out how many students of Hyvinkää campus would be interested in participation. In addition, the questionnaire was also meant to clarify the possible participants’ opinions concerning the event and to give them an opportunity to have some input in the planning. The questionnaire also included questions about; preferred time, length, and place for the event as well as transportation and accommodation that would fit best. The one answering the questionnaire also had an opportunity to suggest other activities (other than skiing) that they would like to have during the trip. The amount of interested students also helped to define if expanding the target group to other campuses was necessary or not. The second questionnaires target was to get feedback from the participants and it was implemented after the event was held. The second questionnaire was answered by the participants and it was implemented in paper and the participants were allowed to answer it anonymously. The first questionnaire was a success and all the information gained through it was usable in the planning and organizing the event. The answers also gave whole new ideas to the organizers that they tried to include in the event itself. The final number of participants was 16 and the grade of all sectors was 4,8 (on a scale from 1-5). The organizers were able to fulfil their aim of organizing a successful skiing trip that fit the budget and that was enjoyed by the participants as well as by the organizers themselves. The practical suggestions concerning the event were about its scheduling and informing the participants about the event....

The topic of this thesis is a Power of Attorney. The Power of Attorney is observed through the challenges and problem sections, in work (amongst others). Furthermore, the Power of Attorney is compared with the ordinary authorisation and how it operates for example in a bank. The subject of the dissertation is mainly based on the laws and government proposals. Since the law on the Power of Attorney is a relatively new law, the opportunity to assess a subject matter passes quickly as well as those opportunities connected to its preliminary work. Operating with different types of authorization is also considered in the work (from the point of view of a bank). The objective of the work is to clarify what the Power of Attorney means, how it is made and what matters affect the strengthening of it. The purpose of this thesis project was to determine how Company X could develop its purchase invoicing process. The objectives of the research were to find out what is slowing down the current purchase invoicing process and how its performance could be increased. An additional objective was to clarify how automation could be exploited to strengthen the purchase invoicing process. Company X operates in the area of community planning. Company X’s purchase invoicing process is already working electronically but it is not using automation in its process. Company X has noticed inefficiency in its purchase invoicing process and wanted to find solutions to develop this. The theoretical part of this study deals with processes and process development, financial administration and digital finance. By means of the theory key areas of process development were identified which could be exploited in the study. The theory of financial administration processes and digital finance clarifies the subject matter and presents trends related to the phenomenon. The empirical study was achieved as a qualitative case study, using theme interviews, benchmarking and observation as study methods. For this study six persons were interviewed. The interviewees were chosen by their participation in the process in order to get interviewees from different points of the process. The interview results were analyzed using a content analysis method. With analysis were named conjunctive main categories from the results which were used to present the results and conclusions. Benchmarking was conducted on the similar sized business, Company Z, which was going to be integrated with Company X. The objective of the benchmarking was to compare the processes of these two companies with each other and to find best practices. As result of this study points were recognized that are slowing down the current process, points that need improvement and parts of the process that could be automated. There are a lot of things that could be developed in Company X’s purchase invoicing process and development could be achieved by many kinds of actions. Almost from every aspect of the process areas were identified needing improvement relating to systems, instructions and procedures. In the process many areas were recognized that could be automated such as posting procedures and approving of repeated invoices. The report concludes that many development targets such as increasing automation would require a new system. But there are also areas that could be developed by changing procedures and through new instructions. The most important develop proposals which could be identified by research were: outsourcing scanning, providing a new system, increasing automation and clarifying procedures....

The topic of the thesis is wellbeing at work and its development. The thesis was commissioned by Inscripta Ltd. which is a company providing information services. The aim was to create a development suggestion on work wellbeing as the commission. The topic was chosen as the mandator lacked a previous plan over work wellbeing and the growth of the company in the future was also taken in to account. In addition, the mandator has a six-hour working day which was also considered as one theme. The theoretical part included three main themes: wellbeing at work, motivating and a-six-hour working day. Regarding wellbeing at work the definition and the significance of the concept were dealt with. In the section of motivating the focus was on the differences between intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. One theme was the six-hour working day. There was an experiment in Sweden about shorter working hours and that was utilized as an example in the thesis and the result were also taken into account. To receive the final results, a survey was carried out with a minor sample of respondents whose perspectives on work wellbeing were charted. Altogether, there were ten respondents. Through the survey it was charted which factors increased or diminished wellbeing at work according to the employees’ opinions and the main point was the work community. How to improve employees’ motivation and the opinions of the six-hour working day were also taken into account. The final result of the thesis was a development suggestion for the mandator. It was created by using the theory and the results of the survey. In addition, the current situation of wellbeing at work was analysed and utilized when drawing up the final suggestion. Sosiaalisen median hyödyntäminen autoliikkeen markkinoinnissa

Tämän tutkimuksen aiheena oli sosiaalisen median hyödyntäminen autoliikkeen markkinoinnissa. Tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli selvittää, miten autoliikkeen näkökulmasta sosiaalista mediaa voi ja kannattaa hyödyntää, kuinka sosiaalisen median kanavia saa hyödynnettyä tehokkaammin sekä kuinka yrityksen tunnettuutta voi kehittää sosiaalisessa mediassa. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli lisäksi selvittää, mikä saa kuluttajien mielenkiinnon heräämään sosiaalisessa mediassa. Tutkimuksen toimeksiantajana toimi suomalainen autoliike.
Tutkimuksen teoreettisessa viitekehyksessä tarkasteltiin autoliikkeen markkinointia sekä mitä erityispiirteitä se pitää sisällään. Seuraavana aihealueena syvennyttiin sosiaaliseen mediaan markkinointiviestinnän keinona sekä miten se näkyy autoliikkeiden näkökulmasta. Viimeisenä aihealueena teoreettisessa viitekehyksessä käsiteltiin tutkimusmenetelmiä. Tutkimusmenetelmien teoreettinen osuus painottui laadullisen tutkimuksen laatimiseen sekä teemahaastatteluiden toteuttamiseen.
Tutkimuksessa hyödynnettiin laadullista tutkimustapaa. Tutkimuksessa suunniteltiin ja toteutettiin kuuden Suomessa toimivan autoliikkeen sosiaalisen median hyödyntämisen vertailu sekä teemahaastattelut kymmenelle nuorelle kuluttajalle. Teemahaastatteluiden teemat rakentuivat teoreettisen viitekehyksen sekä tutkimusongelman mukaisesti. Toteutettujen teemahaastatteluiden tulosten perusteella, kuuden autoliikkeen sosiaalisen median hyödyntämisen vertailun sekä aihealueen tietoperustan pohjalta tutkimuksessa laadittiin suosituksia autoliikkeiden sosiaalisen median hyödyntämiseen.
Tutkimustulosten perusteella tutkimuksessa saatiin koottua suosituksia autoliikkeen sosiaalisen median hyödyntämiseen. Tutkimuksessa tuotetut suositukset sosiaalisen median hyödyntämiseen pystynevät tuomaan uutta informaatiota kuluttajien käyttäytymisestä sosiaalisessa mediassa, miltä sosiaalisen median kanavilta kuluttajat on mahdollista tavoittaa, miten kuluttajat suhtautuvat sosiaalisen median hyödyntämiseen autoliikkeiden markkinoinnissa sekä mikä saa kuluttajien mielenkiinnon heräämään sosiaalisessa mediassa. Tutkimuksen tuloksista myös selvisi autoliikkeille uusi hyödynneltäväksi harkittava kanava. Tutkimuksen tulosten avulla toimeksiantajayritys pystyy hyödyntämään suosituksia sosiaalisen median hyödyntämisessä markkinoinnin tukena sekä kehittämään nykyisiä toimintatapoja sosiaalisessa mediassa....

The aim of this thesis was to produce a broad , and benficial analysis for mobile gaming entrepreneurs. The thesis determined which are today’s most used monetization models in mobile gaming, what are the key elements in mobile gaming profitability and how these numbers could be achieved based on different monetization models. The thesis was produced partly based on a literature review , combining this analysis to make different profitability calculations and partly by collecting different taxation related issues that affect the profitability and success of a mobile game. The calculations include concrete examples on how much a company needs to collect players to break-even , how many commercials must be shown for a company to make a certain profit and what the profitability calculations are based on in a mobile gaming company. Another part of the study was done using a questionnaire. The results backed up the findings from the literature. The most popular monetization models were in apps purchases and advertising inside the games. The results showed that the companies expense structure and profitability was dependant on various things. The company size and the purpose of the game varied significally and every company had a slightly different strategy.
