Attitudes of students in Uusimaa region in grammar schools and vocational schools towards working life and politics Subscriber of this thesis is Työväen Sivistysliitto TSL and the objective was to research attitudes of students in Uusimaa region in grammar schools and vocational schools towards working life, politics and other matters of society. The theoretical base of the thesis was built on these topics. Prior study for such a limited target group has not been made. The information for comparing and for the background was collected mostly from youth barometers published by the state youth council. Research method of this thesis is quantitative. Implementation of this thesis was made by using Surveypal questionnaire which was delivered for students by using Wilma student’s intranet. The questionnaire was divided on six parts; background questions, arguments about issues of society, division of the parties of Finnish parliament based on their comeliness, arguments about politics and working life and free comments. The results are also divided by institutions and genders. Based on the results the young people from region of Uusimaa felt voting as important privilege, but being a member of political party or nominated candidate wasn’t seen interesting. Also the teaching of social studies was considered more needed in schools. The students were able to divide the political parties of Finnish parliament on left and right wing and the Green party was considered the most comeliness party. The target group felt that they have the knowledge about the rules of working life and half of the group is going to organize in a union in the future. The target group felt, they know the main reasons of existence of the organizations in the labourmarket, but it was clear that the majority are not interested in working as a chief shop steward or labour protection delegate. Education about working life was also considered more needed as part of the studies....

The subject of this thesis was to find out the reputation, effectiveness and brand image of Korkeasaari on social media, compared to other zoos as well as other leisure centres. The study was carried out in co-operation with Korkeasaari zoo and its instructor was Laurea University of Applied Sciences’ professor Mika Hentunen. The purpose of our thesis was to provide Korkeasaari concrete information about the company’s success on social media in comparison to the other companies selected for this study. The thesis also aimed to present developmental ideas for the company to improve its Underhood-score. This thesis aimed to study Korkeasaari zoo’s reputation and effectiveness on social media. The study was carried out using a site called Underhood. The site produces statistics based on the companies’ social media sites forming the basis for Underhood-scores. Underhood-scores include the companies’ visibility on Twitter and Facebook as well as the dialogue and similarity of conversation with the companies’ target group. This thesis also aimed to examine the type of content that Korkeasaari zoo’s target audience found the most interesting. The theoretical part of the thesis included information about social media, and about the company as a content creator for social media, the concept of branding, its significance for the company as well as ways for the company to measure brand value. Concrete ways for a company to potentially improve their brand image were also studied. Based on Underhood-analysis, the conclusion was that Korkeasaari was not very successful in comparison to the other zoos as it possessed the second worst overall score of the comparison. In this comparison, almost all the zoo’s scores were below average. However, compared to other Finnish leisure centres Korkeasaari got the best overall score as well as Dialogue-score. All the zoo’s scores were at least average and most above average. This study succeeded in comparing Korkeasaari to the other selected companies using Underhood-analysis, and could offer the zoo developmental ideas to improve their overall Underhood-score. As an idea for further research a study could be conducted over a longer time span, in order to get as realistic results from the study as possible....

The subject of this thesis is the behaviour of Finnish consumers in social media. The purpose of the thesis was to understand how young adults generally use social media and what their main motives and ways of using it are. The objective was to study current knowledge about consumer behaviour and to provide valuable information for Finnish companies. The thesis is part of the Consumer Behavior in Digital Environment project which is carried out in collaboration between Laurea University of Applied Scienes and Kurio Ltd. The subject of the thesis is studied by using qualitative study methods. The main study question is how young adults use social media. This includes investigating what the main features, operational environments and motives to use social media are. The theoretical framework consists of two main sections on social media as an operational environment and consumer behaviour in social media. The first section provides information about essential features of social media, social media channels and the internet personas one can have. The second section studies psychological perspectives about consumer behaviour in social media by explaining different motives, attitudes, mindsets and the ways how consumers use social media. The thesis was conducted as a qualitative study. The data collection methods included theme interview and observation which ensured a profound understanding of the subject. According to the conducted study, young adults experience themselves rather as receivers than producers of content. The results showed that the action in social media is based on following other users and the produced content is usually considered carefully. Social media is a natural part of life and different channels and services are highly present in everyday life. The study also shows that social media is mainly used by mobile devices. The main motives to use social media appeared to be the communication possibilities and fast access to information. Generally, on the basis of the study it can be concluded that young adults identify social media as an easy way to communicate with other people and its different services are experienced as an entertainment. In further studies consumers of different age groups could be examined or a study on specific social media channels and their use could be carried out. Further studies could also choose the examinees from different parts of Finland....

The purpose of this thesis is that it is a literature review which collects thoroughly information about rape crimes in Finland. The theoretical framework of this thesis consists of essential parts of the general theory of our criminal law system. The research problem was to find out what kind of the offences concerning sexual self-determination are criminalized in our present legislation and how those offences are punished. The subject was also studied from the aspect of the current immigration crisis. Rape is a crime that offends a person’s sexual self-determination. The importance of sexual self-determination as an object of legal protection is high and It`s importance has risen a lot over time. Also, the understanding concerning sexual offence`s special nature has improved lately, so the topic is very current now. The attitude towards women and their rights has changed significantly and has for one's part improved the legislation in relation of sexual offences. Legal dogmatic was used as a main research method to study the defined research problem. The history of sexual crimes is also touched on, because present laws can`t be understood properly if you don`t know how they were developed. With the help of comparative law this thesis creates a better overall picture about the statistics of rape crimes and their punishments. Legal literature with current laws and their preliminary work was used as a source material in this thesis. Previous surveys about the subject were also explored and considered. One of the main conclusions of this thesis was that all the changes that have been done involving our legislation of sexual offences have been necessary, when trying to protect an important object of legal protection and to improve sexual equality. When taking certain factors into account, it can`t be said that the amount of rape crimes has increased. However, it is important to have knowledge about an immigrant`s part in these crimes, to be aware of Sweden`s situation and to ponder, what kind of effects this current immigration crisis might have....

Taloushallinnon kehittäminen yrityksessä X

Tämän opinnäytetyön tavoite oli selvittää miten yritys X voisi kehittää taloushallintoaan. Toimeksiantajana oli yritys X, joka toimii ITS-toimialalla (Intelligent Traffic systems). Yritys on osa kansainvälistä konsernia toimien Suomessa omana myyntiyksikkönä. Yrityksen toiminnanohjausjärjestelmänä on SAP ja heillä on tällä hetkellä käytössä sähköinen myyntilaskuprosessi, mutta ei ostolaskuprosessia.
Tutkimuksen tietoperustana oli taloushallinto ja sen osa-alueet, digitaalinen taloushallinto sekä taloushallinnon järjestelmät. Tutkimus oli kvalitatiivinen tapaustutkimus, jossa tutkimusmenetelminä käytettiin haastattelua, osallistuvaa havainnointia sekä dokumenttianalyysiä. Osallistuva havainnointi suoritettiin harjoittelun aikana toimeksiantajayrityksessä. Dokumenttianalyysin pohjana olivat yrityksen X ostolaskut sekä palveluntarjoajien internetsivut.
Tutkimuksessa nousi esille keskeisemmäksi kehittämiskohteeksi yrityksen X ostolaskuprosessi. Tutkimuksessa keskityttiin ostolaskuprosessin sähköistämiseen ja sen tuomiin etuihin.
Tuloksena saatiin kolme eri palveluntarjoajaa, joiden ohjelmat sopivat parhaiten yrityksen X tarpeisiin. Nämä kolme palveluntarjoajaa olivat Basware, Lexmark ja WMD. Palveluntarjoajien keskinäisessä vertailussa ei tullut esille suuria eroja. Tutkimuksessa tuli esille, että yritys X pystyisi vähentämään ostolaskujen käsittelyn kustannuksissa siirtymällä verkkolaskujen vastaanottamiseen. Nykyisillä laskumäärillä säästö olisi rahallisesti yli 60% laskua kohden ja ajallisesti yli 80% laskua kohden....

Liikunta- ja hyvinvointikeskus Fressin brändi-identiteetin ja -imagon eroavaisuudet

Tämän opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli selvittää, vastaako asiakkaiden brändi-imago yrityksen brändi-identiteettiä. Liikunta-alan kasvaessa toimiala houkuttelee jatkuvasti uusia yrityksiä markkinoille. Opinnäytetyön toimeksiantaja on Fysioline Fressi Oy, joka on vahva kotimainen liikunta- ja hyvinvointialan yritys. Tämän opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli tarjota toimeksiantajalle kuvaus yrityksen brändin nykytilasta ja esittää mahdollisia kehityskohteita.
Opinnäytetyön teoriaperusta muodostui brändiä käsittelevästä kirjallisuudesta, ja kuntokeskustoimintaan perehdyttävä tietoperusta kerättiin ajankohtaisista julkaisuista. Opinnäytetyön kannalta olennaisimmat aiheet olivat brändi-identiteetti, brändi-imago sekä brändisuhde.
Tutkimusosa toteutettiin laadullisella tutkimusmenetelmällä. Aineisto kerättiin teemahaastatteluin kahdelta osapuolelta, yrityksen brändijohtajilta ja yrityksen kanta-asiakkailta. Haastatteluiden teema-alueet muodostuivat teoriaperustassa esiintyneen brändi-identiteettimatriisin pohjalta. Fressin brändin jalkauttamisesta vastuussa olevilta johtajilta kerättiin kuvaus yrityksen brändi-identiteetistä. Kanta-asiakkaiden haastatteluista koottiin näkemys yrityksen brändi-imagosta. Aineisto litteroitiin ja jäsenneltiin teema-alueittain merkitysanalyysiä varten. Merkitysanalyysi toteutettiin vertailemalla ja etsimällä kontrasteja osapuolten haastattelutulosten väliltä.
Tulosten mukaan haastateltujen kanta-asiakkaiden brändi-imago erosi monin tavoin yrityksen brändi-identiteetistä. Asiakkaat eivät tunnistaneet kaikkia Fressin brändiä määrittelevistä tekijöistä. Tätä saattaa selittää se, että yrityksen brändiä ohjaavia suuntaviivoja ei ole saatettu kirjalliseen muotoon. Myös yrityksen viestinnän havaittiin olevan hajanaista. Eroavaisuuksista huolimatta tuloksissa havaittiin brändisuhteen merkkejä. Keskeiseksi brändisuhdetta vahvistavaksi tekijäksi osoittautui molempien osapuolten kannalta yrityksen henkilökunta.
Tulosten perusteella Fressin tulisi kehittää brändiään yhtenäisemmäksi ja asiakaslähtöisemmäksi. Brändin yhtenäistämisen apuna voidaan käyttää tutkimuksessa esitettyä brändi-identiteettimatriisia. Asiakaslähtöisyyttä tuoviksi tekijöiksi ehdotettiin asiakaspolun selkeyttämistä, aktiivista palautejärjestelmää, asiakaslähtöistä viestintää ja markkinoinnin kohdentamista asiakassegmentin eri demografisille ryhmille....
