The main objective of the thesis was to find out the factors that develop job satisfaction and work motivation of Ventoniemen Sora Limited 's drivers. This required the research of the employees’ current job satisfaction and work motivation. The theoretical framework was composed of factors that regulate job satisfaction and work motivation but also the theory related to those topics. The personnel survey was carried out as a quantitative study using a paper questionnaire. The survey was based on the following factors: work, remuneration and reward, feedback and supervisory work, organization of work and communication, work atmosphere and environment, equipment and tools as well as workload. The study form was distributed to all drivers of Ventoniemen Sora Limited. The company currently employs 34 drivers and 32 of the drivers answered the questionnaire, which was an extremely good result. The response rate was 94.1%. The survey was conducted anonymously and the results were collected and handled confidentially. Overall, the driver's job satisfaction and motivation was really good. According to the results, drivers were particularly satisfied with the work itself and the related areas. The work atmosphere and community also aroused great satisfaction among the drivers. Good inventory and tools were also considered as significant motivating factors....

The subject of the thesis is to adjust the constitutionality control of legislation which is implemented as preliminary control in a legislative process. It is provided in the Constitutional Law that the Constitutional Law Commission has an essential role in the constitutionality control of legislation. The thesis introduces the Finnish Constitution, the Fundamental Rights System, the Constitutional Law and the historical development of legislation in order to make it easier for the reader to understand what legislation is based on, what is the legislation process and what is the meaning of fundamental rights in Constitution Law. Historical changes have a strong influence on state development and how fundamental rights are related in society. The Constitutional Law is the basis of our legislation and it is a priority for all other Finnish laws. The main principles laid down in the Constitutional Law are republicanism, parliamentarism, the rule of constitutional state and primacy of the Constitutional Law are defining the foundations of our legislation, so they are creating the rule of functioning of the state and jurisdiction in society. Recently, the topic of public conversation has been the lack of constitutional control of the laws and its development needs. The role of the Constitutional Law Commission contains that it can only give it´s opinion on law proposals specifically addressed to it. This can be experienced as a shortage in the legislative process and in the process of controlling the constitutionality of laws if it finds out to be matters against the constitutional law in a law draft during the act of the Parliament. The reasons for the shortcomings of the legislative process have been publicly disclosed, for example, in the form of rush and political pressure. These arguments have attempted to defend the weakened process of legislature, which could lead to the displacing of the principles of good legislative process. The thesis presents an example of a major restructuring in the social and health sector, that is called sote-reform. From the whole sote-reform there is presented mainly the law draft concerning the citizens' freedom to choose their health care producer. This is because the Constitutional Law Commission, in it´s summer 2017 statement, stated that the law draft had a few points against the Constitutional Law. The Constitutional Law Commission has returned the law proposal back to the Ministry's preparation....

The main goal of this thesis was to observe what qualitatively written electronic customer messaging should contain and how the messaging should be developed so that the the style of writing is consistent between members of the whole staff of the organization. The study was made for the Social Insurance Institution of Finland and it was carried out at the organisation’s premises. The study group included eight key specialists and their manager. The study group participated in a brainstorming event where they shared new ideas, insights and development proposals. Most of these shared views were written down in a memo. Brainstorming was chosen as a study method for its ability to offer a more engaging and unifying way of thinking. Reading, writing or assessing a message is a very subjective event and it may often be seen that there is no true or right way to create a message - everything that’s written is always in a sense imperfect. In the study results, we can see how writing a message needs to be consistent in terms of the content the message should include and the way the message should be delivered. Electronic messaging should be seen as just one way of contacting the customer, in addition to other more traditional ways. The results of the study show how previously written messaging templates and phrases can help in everyday working situations. Set phrases and messaging templates consist of the same ways of spelling, framing and are visually familiar. These are a convenient way to contact customers. However, these phrases and templates should be modified to fit the context of the message. Sharing a wellmade messaging body or a template can be seen as a good practice between colleagues....

Tilitoimisto Oy:n kirjanpidon prosessien kehitys

Tämän opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli selvittää, miten Tilitoimisto Oy:n kirjanpidon prosessit kehittyvät sähköisen ohjelmiston avulla. Tilitoimisto Oy toimii Helsingissä ja sillä on viisi työntekijää sekä monta kymmentä yritysasiakasta. Monet vuodet kirjanpitoja on hoidettu Asteri kirjanpito-ohjelmalla, kunnes vuoden 2017 alussa hankittiin Heeros sähköinen taloushallinto -ohjelma. Sähköinen ohjelma haluttiin ottaa käyttöön potentiaalisten asiakkaiden osalta. Tilitoimisto Oy haluaa jatkaa Asterilla työskentelyä jatkossakin, mutta halukkaille tarjotaan sähköistä vaihtoehtoa.
Opinnäytetyötä lähdettiin toteuttamaan kehittämistutkimuksena, mutta tutkimuksen edetessä se muuttui toiminnalliseksi tutkimukseksi. Tuotos pohjautuu ammattiteoriaan ja havainnointiin, joiden avulla selvitettiin, miten Tilitoimisto Oy:n kirjanpidon prosessit kehittyvät, kun sähköinen ohjelma otetaan käyttöön. Teoriaosuudessa käsitellään prosessit –määritelmää, Heeros sähköistä taloushallinto –ohjelmaa ja kirjanpidon toimintoketjua, joiden tarkoitus on toimia tutkimuksen tukena.
Tutkimuksessa kerrotaan Tilitoimisto Oy:n nykyisistä kirjanpidonprosesseista ja sähköisen ohjelmiston käytännön kokeilusta, jolloin asiakas siirrettiin perinteisestä ohjelmasta sähköiseen ohjelmaan sekä käytiin kirjanpidonketju läpi. Sähköisen ohjelmiston kokeiluvaiheessa pyrittiin huomioimaan, millä tavalla kirjanpidon prosessit kehittyvät nykyisiin prosesseihin verrattuna ja voidaanko niitä kehittää. Kokeilun aikana ilmeni Tilitoimisto Oy:n ja sen asiakkaiden kannalta hyödyllisiä prosessimuutoksia, mutta myös haasteita työskentelyyn. Kirjanpidon prosessien
kehitys vaikuttaa eniten kirjanpitäjän työhön.
Tutkimuksessa käsiteltiin ainoastaan Tilitoimisto Oy:ssä tehtyjä kokeiluja. Kokeiluun käytettiin Tilitoimisto Oy:n asiakkaita. Ilmiön tutkiminen painottuu pääosin yhden työntekijän asiakaskuntaan, joista valittiin kolme asiakasyritystä sähköisen kirjanpidon käyttöönoton kokeiluun. Asiakasyritykset ovat mikroyrityksiä, joiden kirjanpitoa työstetään jatkossakin Heeroksessa. Toiminnan tarkoituksena oli tuottaa selvitys, josta olisi hyötyä sähköisen ohjelman käyttöönottoa harkitseville, mutta myös auttamaan Tilitoimisto Oy:n siirtymisvaiheen hahmottamista....

The objective of this thesis is to study how it is possible to improve the commitment of the company’s employees. The factual basis of this thesis comes from HRM related books. A quantitative study that’s created based on the knowledge applied from the general HRM knowledge and the industry`s way of doing things. The study`s purpose is to get information on what the employees feel are the problematic things with how the cleaning company does things regarding commitment related things. Also done in this thesis is group interview with new employees of the cleaning company, and what they feel would be the problematic spots in the company`s actions when talking about commitment related things. From the result gained from the survey and the group interview it was noticed that remuneration and salary, organising of the work, flexibility of work, employee benefits and fringe benefits, the sense of belonging to the organisation. From these it’s possible to analyse that the reason for the low level of commitment in the company is the type of relationship the company has with the employees, which is largely transactional. From this information in the thesis there is an analysis of what the cleaning company should do to improve the commitment of their employees. Going by the analysis that the relationship of the company with it’s employees is heavily transactional, there are two main ways of positively influencing the level of commitment with the employees. These two ways are either competing with the remuneration and salary, or by trying to change the relationship with the employees to be less transactional. The reason why remuneration and salary increase are possible ways to influence the level of commitment, is due to the fact that transactional relationship works in a way where the only influencer is the amount of remuneration for your work effort....

Tinder and other similar dating applications can be considered a new phenomenon and they have also added their own dimension to the world of technology. In this thesis project the purpose was to investigate whether the Tinder application has had effect on dating practices. This thesis project was made as a part of the Consumer Behavior in Digital Environment project which is a collaboration between Laurea University of Applied Sciences and Kurio Oy. The possible changes in dating were examined using qualitative research methods. The main goal was to determine whether dating had changed and to identify the reasons for this. There were also other smaller questions that completed the research. The research was carried out from the perspective of 22-30 year old men. The theoretical sections of the thesis report examine such areas as digitalisation, with a focus was on social media. Also considered were digital interaction, including the current trends in dating today and the role of the Tinder application. The research methods that were used in this thesis project were theme interview and netnography. The goal was to obtain data about the interviewees experiences and views of how dating has changed in the course of time and their views of trends. The interviewees were also asked about their behaviour and profiles in social media. The research results show that dating has changed compared to a time before the use of Tinder. The results show that dating has become easier and the number of dates have increased notably. Dating today was also seen as more expendable than five years ago. Dating five years ago was seen as being harder to accomplish but on the other hand it was seen as being more authentic. Tinder was considered to be a good channel to meet new persons. In addition, the service named Tinder Social was suggested for further research. It would be fascinating to see if this service has had any affect on the ways in which people make new friends. Tinder´s expansion could also be a theme for further research....

Markkinatutkimus uusien asiakkaiden hankkimiseksi kaukolämpöyritykselle

Opinnäytetyön toimeksiantajana toimi Hyvinkään Lämpövoima Oy (HLV), joka on kaukolämpöä myyvä ja toimittava yritys Hyvinkäällä. HLV:n yhteyshenkilönä toimi asiakkuus- ja verkostopäällikkö Sami Pesonen.
Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli toteuttaa markkinatutkimus, jossa selvitettiin hyvinkääläisten kiinteistönomistajien mielikuvia ja kiinnostusta kaukolämpöä ja HLV:aa kohtaan. Lisäksi tavoitteena oli selvittää kiinteistönomistajien kiinnostusta liittyä HLV:n kaukolämpöverkkoon. Opinnäytetyön toteutus alkoi tutkimussuunnitelmalla, jossa määriteltiin tutkimusongelma ja tutkimusmenetelmät. Tutkimusmenetelmäksi valittiin kvantitatiivinen tutkimus ja aineistonkeruu toteutettiin puhelinkyselynä. Kyselyn perusjoukoksi valittiin öljylämmitteisten kiinteistöjen omistajat niiltä Hyvinkään alueilta, joihin HLV näki kannattavaksi laajentaa kaukolämpöverkkoa. Näiden alueiden öljylämmitteiset kiinteistöt selvitettiin paikan päällä tehdyllä katselmoinnilla. Kiinteistönomistajien yhteystiedot selvitettiin Fonectan yhteystietotiedustelun avulla.
Kyselyn toteutusvaihe kesti 3,5 kuukautta. Kyselyn toteutuksen jälkeen tulokset analysoitiin. Vastauksia saatiin yhteensä 32 kpl, joista 17 sanoi harkitsevansa liittymistä kaukolämpöverkkoon. Kaukolämpö nähtiin helppohoitoisena ja luotettavana, mutta kalliina lämmitysmuotona.
Opinnäytetyön toteutuksen tukena käytettiin tietoperustaa, jonka pääasiallisia aiheita olivat tutkimusprosessi, brändi, asiakaslähtöisyys ja mielikuvamarkkinointi. Opinnäytetyön tulokset luovutettiin HLV:lle. Saadun palautteen mukaan opinnäytetyön tulokset olivat toimeksiantajalle erittäin hyödyllisiä. HLV sai paljon hyödyllisiä lähtötietoja kaukolämpöverkon laajentamisinvestointien sunnitteluun ja toteutukseen. Ensimmäiset laajennusinvestoinnit alkoivat jo vuoden 2017 aikana. Toimeksiantaja oli tyytyväinen työn tulokseen ja työllä saavutettiin sille asetetut tavoitteet, jotka tukevat liiketoiminnan kehittämistä pitkällä tähtäimellä....
