The purpose of this thesis was to find out about customer experience and areas of development in the recently built Urhea Hall. Urhea Hall was inaugurated in August 2021, and it is part of Urhea Sports Campus located in Helsinki. In addition, the aim of the thesis was to prepare a questionnaire that can be used for Urhea Hall's customer experience surveys in the future. The aim was to produce new data for development of the facilities and services and further measurements of customer experiences at Urhea Hall since similar studies have not been conducted there before. The theory base of this thesis was connected to customer experience and customer experience research. A quantitative research method was applied, and the survey was conducted with a questionnaire. The questionnaire was drawn up by utilizing the theory base and discussions with the client from Urhea Hall. The survey was conducted on Microsoft Forms platform and the target group were athletes and coaches who actively uses the services of Urhea Hall. The survey was successful, and the responses were informative. The results revealed positive attitudes of the athletes and coaches towards Urhea Hall. In addition, the results revealed areas of development concerning Urhea Hall’s facilities and services. Based on the results, the most positive matters in Urhea Hall were the friendliness of the staff, the quality of customer service and cleanliness. In addition, the Net Promoter Score (NPS), number revealed by the results of the survey, will serve as an indicator when monitoring development of the customer experience at Urhea Hall and when benchmarking the other players of the industry field. According to the results, the NPS number for Urhea Hall was 81. The conclusion is that the thesis was successful, and the objective of the research was achieved. The survey identified areas for development that can be considered in the development of Urhea Hall's facilities and services. In addition, the questionnaire was successful and can be used in further customer experience surveys at Urhea Hall....

The aim of this thesis was to examine the effects of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) on processing client and patient data in health and social services especially from the viewpoint of the health and social services reform legislation. Health and social services deal with sensitive personal data, and data that belong under the Article 9 of the GDPR as special categories requiring careful data processing by the controllers to protect the rights and freedoms of the data subject. The abolition of extensive consent based on health and social services legislation is one of the most significant changes in the health and social services reform from the viewpoint of both the individual and the social and health care service providers, which in addition to data privacy, includes fundamental legal questions concerning safeguarding the right to informational self-determination of the data subject. The theoretical framework is based on the European Union and national legislation regulating the processing of personal data, mainly around the health and social services general and special legislation. The thesis proceeds chronologically through the development of fundamental rights closely related to the protection of personal data, such as the protection of private life, the basis of the norm hierarchy and the data protection reform, to the application of the GDPR, and finally, the processing of personal data in health and social services, taking into account the effects of the health and social services reform. The topic of this thesis was approached by using the legal dogmatic method, which enabled the examination of the current legislation regulating data processing from the viewpoint of European Union and Finnish national legislation. In addition, the topic was examined from an empirical point of view by utilizing the preliminary work on the law, such as government proposals, decisions of legality controllers, decisions and statements by the authorities, legal literature, international articles, and expert opinions. From the legislative point of view, the health and social services reform is exceptionally extensive and one of the most significant reforms in Finland's history, including provisions affecting the processing of patient and client data, which must comply with the requirements of the GDPR. Digitalization and the integration of the health and social services system will require an increasing number of actions from the controllers in the future to safeguard the protection of personal data and the rights of the data subject in national social and health care information system services....

The objective of this thesis was to develop my sales expertise as a customer service agent and also to draw up material for employer to be used in employee training. The thesis focuses on sales process and different stages of the process based on theoretical knowledge. The thesis was conducted as a portfolio type diary thesis. The study describes ten weeks of my work in an insurance company as a customer service agent. In the entries I describe the contents of my daily work and every week there is broarder analysis of my development and also theory of sales process. Literature and other sources related to sales and customer service were used as material in the weekly analysis. The most important results of the thesis were employee’s development in sales and analysis of one’s own work. In addition, the employer can utilize the material as aid in future coaching and training sessions....
