The purpose of this thesis was to examine the way funding is worth selling in IT-sector. We used the qualitative research method in this thesis. Benchmarking, interviews, survey and comparison was used as the data collection method. Different stages were combined in the reference section. The purpose of this study was to compare the effect of different financing options. By using qualitative research we ensured that the picture of this subject is as profound as possible. The theoretical framework consists of two different areas: customer financing and capital-counting theories. The theory is studied as widely as possible in order to support the research section. We have paid attention to the quality of the material by selecting a wide range of written and internet sources. This study examines a variety of financing options and explaning the company’s current state of financing. The research problem of this study was to find out financing options offered to customers. The results of the study show that customers need more clear and simple way to see financing options in the future. We found that our partner company makes financial sales to some extent. The customers that prefer credit purchases want to use their funds to other investements as well. That way they do not have to tie their funds into one investment. Based on the research we were able to build a selling tool which helps the IT-company on sales. Selling tool is a table that outlines the various financing options to customers in a simple form. This tool allows IT –company to make clear the costs and benefits of the various financing options for the customers. It clarifies the situation of purchase and can increase financial sales....

The purpose of this thesis was to investigate the type of financial indicators that support the strategic goals and what issues need to be focused on in the indicators of a non-profit association. It is important for a non-profit association to declare, amongst other things, financiers and other financing stakeholders that provide public funding. The aim of this study was to develop the Finnish Epilepsy Association’s balanced scorecard, which could then be used to measure strategic objectives, and also serves as an assessment tool. The balanced scorecard was based on Kaplan and Norton's model design. The research method of the thesis was a case study. The material was based on strategy, related balanced narrative literature and previous theses. In addition, the association's own documents were used, such as annual reports, their Strategy for 2020, as well as their web pages. Supporting material was also obtained from interviews with the Finnish Epilepsy Association’s executive committee members. The Finnish Epilepsy Association's three spheres of strategy are community care, everyday life work and the utilisation of the latest information and research. The balanced scorecard was designed to include the four most suitable approaches according to the association’s strategic objectives. The approaches chosen were client and social impact, economical aspects and resources, processes as well as learning and growth. The critical success factors for each approach were defined following discussions with the members of the executive board, and were used to derive the indicators. The balanced scorecard was made on the most essential a choices and clear quality measurements. The Finnish Epilepsy Association defined most of the indicators for the benchmarking targets. The thesis was successful and achieved its goal. In addition a balanced scorecard was provided to the Finnish Epilepsy Association that corresponded to their needs, which the association can utilize in the measuring of strategic goals....
