Tietoturvan taso ja kehityskohteet - Case Laurea Service Desk

Tämä opinnäytetyö on osa toimeksiantajan, Laurea-ammattikorkeakoulun, tietoturvakatsausta. Työn tavoitteena oli tehdä kattava katsaus Laurea Service Desk’in tietoturvan tasosta nykyhetkellä sisältäen parannusehdotukset mahdollisiin ongelmakohtiin.
Opinnäytetyön keskeisimpiä työvälineitä olivat Laurea-ammattikorkeakoulun omat aineistot tieto-turvasta, tietojenkäsittelyn viitekehykset ja tehdyt kyselyt. Tutkimuksen kohteen Service desk’in tärkeimpiä työkaluja ovat: Service Manager Console, Active Directory sekä Keepass. Käyttäjätunnuksia käytetään useita erilaisia tilanteesta riippuen. Kaikilla eri käyttäjätunnuksilla on lisäksi omat salasanansa. Service desk’issä on tärkeää perehdyttää uudet harjoittelijat ja käyttää saatua tietoa tietoturvallisesti. Asiakaspalvelu ja asiakkaiden tunnistaminen ovat tärkeitä toimintoja. Asia-kaspalvelussa on käytössä erilaisia tekniikoita ja ohjelmistoja. Tietoturvallisuudessa on tärkeää tietoturvatietoisuus ja -vastuullisuus, joka on saavutettavissa riittävällä tiedottamisella, koulutuksella ja perehdyttämisellä.
Tärkeimmiksi tuloksiksi nousivat Service Desk-tilojen epäkäytännöllisyys, salasanakäytänteiden tehostaminen, tietoturva-aineiston lisääminen perehdytykseen ja vastuuhenkilön nimeäminen tieto-turva-asioihin liittyen....

Web Design projekti yritykselle - Case Vertical Hobby Oy

This project is about a web design project done for the company Vertical Hobby Oy during the summer of 2015. They are a web store, who base their operation on buying radio controlled planes, helicopters and cars from abroad and selling them in Finland. The person benefitting of this project is the owner of the store, Antti Lipasti, as well as the customers and workers of the company. All the changes were made with the assistance and consent of the owner. The web store is made onto a pre made platform and is edited using the PHP coding language. During planning, the project was given four goals. The first of which was to make the employee webpages easier to use, to help with work. Possibly the most important goal was to make the old pages look more professional and clean, to help with company image. In addition to improving the layout of the webstore, a search bar was to be implemented onto the site later on during the project. Lastly, the new layout was fitted with a new product categorizing to help the navigating further. The goals were achieved almost completely. The workers’ page got some improvements, which make it easier to handle orders, see the amount of product in storage and to communicate with the customer. The orders’ page was modified to be color coded with a system, which automatically tells whether or not there’s enough of the ordered product in storage in order to fulfill the order. Red color means that a product from the order has ran out, yellow means that the customer ordered the last ones of a product, and green means that there are more of the ordered products in storage, even after sending the order. The layout and aesthetic of the page was changed entirely during the project. The Red “V” logo was altered into a new, more professional logo, which should give a first time visitor an immediate idea as to what the company sells (see picture 1). In the old version of the web store, the catego-ries for different products were too many in number, so they were condensed into six main categories: Planes, Helicopters, Multi copters, Cars, Tanks and Spare Parts. This made it easier for the customers find what they were looking for. The web page used to have a main page of sorts, which had no real substance for the company. The main page only had social media links and feeds, along with a link to the webstore. It was unprofessional looking, and was removed entirely during the project. The social media links were moved to the bottom of the new webstore page. Before the project, the company’s pages did not have a search bar for the store, but they had a wide selection. The search bar was added to help the customers’ usability. The only problem was that the search bar used the codenames, instead of product names to find the sought product. For example a small battery made by Dualsky cannot be found by searching “Dualsky battery”, but rather by searching the product’s code, which contains the different statistics of the product formed into a name, or a code. It tells the size and power of the battery, but is nearly useless for the searching. Overall, the project was a success. The customer was happy with the results and the company benefitted greatly....

Lautapelistä digitaaliseksi peliksi Case: Muistatko vielä…

Tämän opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli kehittää digitaalinen peli lautapelin pohjalta. Kehitettävä peli perustui Laurean Hyvinkään toimipisteen opiskelijoiden luomaan lautapeliin ”Muistatko vielä…”. Peli on erityisesti ikäihmisille ja muistisairaille suunnattu tietovisapeli. Digitaalisen pelin suunnittelun ja kehityksen tukena toimi opiskelijaryhmä Hyvinkään toimipisteestä.
Tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli selventää pelintekoprosessin eri vaiheita. Näitä olivat esituotanto, tuotanto ja testaus. Pelin kehittämiseen käytettiin Java-ohjelmointikieltä ja siihen perustuvaa LibGDX-ohjelmistokehystä. Peliä kehitettiin iteratiivisesti opiskelijaryhmän kanssa.
