Avainkumppanuustapahtuma Laurean opiskelijoille : Avainkumppanuus Approt

The assignment of this thesis was to develop a key partnership event for Laurea University of Applied Sciences students. The goal was for the event to increase the visibility and familiarity of Laurea's key partner companies among Laurea's students. The second purpose of the event was to offer students opportunities to create networks and promote their own careers. This thesis was implemented as a practical thesis. The theoretical reference framework of the thesis dealt with event production, theme interviews and practical thesis. The emphasis of the information base was strongly on the theory of event production. Theme interviews were used as a development method in the work. For the thesis, five people were interviewed related to events and event production. Based on the interviews, I developed a new event concept that combines utility and entertainment, Avainkumppani Approt. The basic idea of the event is based on the appro concept, which is popular among students. The idea is that Laurea's key partner companies set up event points on Laurea's campuses, which students go around and collect performance marks. At event points, companies present their own activities, do recruitment work, and share their marketing material. In addition to the event concept, the thesis includes an estimate of the event's work-force needs, a preliminary budget and the schedule of the event day. If implemented, the event would create new added value for students, key partner companies and Laurea University of Applied Sciences. The added value is come into existence because the event concept combines a career event and a student event in a new, experiential way. Organizing the event still requires further development and more detailed planning. The planned concept is feasible and in line with the set goals....

The objective of the thesis was to plan and propose a customer-oriented event plan designed for a target group. The purpose was to use Event Design to plan a fundraising event for the Mannerheim League for Child Welfare’s local association Konala. Through the thesis, the commissioner receives an event plan, which contains operating instructions and ideas for implementing a fundraising event. The theories of Service Design, Event Design and Customer Insight have been applied in the thesis. Methods used in the thesis include co-creation and the process of Event Design and supporting tools such as personality, Empathy Map and Event Canvas. The main output of the work is the event plan, which was formed on the basis of the ideas and prototypes that arose in the event design process. The commissioner can use the event plan as is when planning future events or choose aspects from it for use. One development proposal would be to organise the event twice a year. In this way families could sell seasonal clothes at a tailgate flea market. If the event took place more than once a year, the autumnal event could incorporate lights and reflections. The development work resulted in a plan, which the commissioner can duplicate and modify according to the needs of each event. It can also be applied in other local associations. Through the work, new volunteers participating in an event receive a clear picture and understanding of the event's operation.
