<summary type="text">Administrating Insulin Injections: A video guide for nurses

Diabetes is the most common chronic illness which needs regular treatment specifically insulin therapy, precise insulin delivery is crucial for managing diabetes. In nursing practice, administrating insulin is the most carried out and high-risk procedures. Wrong technique, site choice, or dosage in insulin administration result complications like lipoatrophy, hyperglycaemia and hypoglycaemia.&#13;
&#13;
This thesis focused on creating an educational video for nurses about insulin injection using insulin pens to enhance their competencies. The video covers preparation of the pen and needle, site selection and rotation, dose check and air shot, the injection itself along with hand washing, reminded of the 10 rights of medication administration. The content was reviewed by the supervising teacher and the commissioner before final approval. This project was carried out as part of the nursing program at Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK), collaboration with Kustannus Oy Duodecim.&#13;
&#13;
The project was executed using the Waterfall methodology, systematic, linear development approach for the clinical educational materials that demand accuracy and limited divergence from set protocols. The development process included stages such as systematic literature review, instructional design, storyboard and script creation, filming, editing, and validation. &#13;
&#13;
The thesis shows that a brief, evidence-based educational video can serve as a practical and reusable teaching tool for nurses and nursing students. Used together with clinical training, it can help to support a more uniform injection technique, reduce common errors, and in this way contribute to better patient safety in diabetes care.

Opinnäytetyössä tarkasteltiin sosiaalisen median markkinointia ja sen kehittämistä toimeksiantajayrityksessä Studio 6.0:ssa Työn taustalla oli tarve kehittää  yrityksen sosiaalisen median näkyvyyttä ja säännöllisyyttä sekä lisätä vuorovaikutusta erityisesti seuraajien kanssa. Tavoitteena oli laatia käytännönlähteinen markkinointisuunnitelma, jonka avulla yritys voi kehittää sosiaalisen median toimintaansa erityisesti Instagramissa. &#13;
&#13;
Työ toteutettiin toiminnallisena työnä. Aineistoa kerättiin analysoimalla yrityksen nykyisiä sosiaalisen median kanavia ja markkinointimateriaaleja sekä tutkimalla niiden sisältöä. Lisäksi aineistoa täydennettiin teemahaastatteluilla toimeksiantajan kanssa ja kilpailijoiden toiminnan tarkastelulla sekä asiakaskyselyllä. Menetelmien avulla saatiin kokonaiskuva yrityksen nykyisestä markkinoinnin nykytilasta ja kehityskohteista.  &#13;
&#13;
Tulosten perusteella yrityksen sosiaalisen median markkinointi tavoittaa hyvin nykyiset seuraajat, mutta vuorovaikutuksessa ja sitouttamisessa havaittiin kehitystarpeita. Kilpailija-analyysi osoitti, että säännöllinen ja suunnitelmallinen sisällöntuotanto tukee näkyvyyden kasvua. Kohderyhmä koostui pääosin nuorista ja työssäkäyvistä naisista, jotka arvostavat visuaalista ja helposti lähestyttävää sisältöä. &#13;
&#13;
Johtopäätöksenä todettiin, että yrityksen markkinointia voidaan kehittää lisäämällä suunnitelmallisuutta, yhtenäistämällä visuaalista ilmettä sekä lisäämällä säännöllistä ja monipuolista sisältöä sosiaalisen median kanavissa. Laadittu markkinointisuunnitelma toimii käytännön työkaluna yrityksen markkinoinnin kehittämisessä.; This thesis examined social media marketing and its development in the client company Studio 6.0. The background of the study was the need to improve the company’s social media visibility and consistency, as well as to increase interaction, especially with followers. The objective was to create a practical marketing plan that enables the company to develop its social media activities, particularly on Instagram. &#13;
&#13;
The study was conducted as practice-based thesis. Data was collected by analyzing the company’s existing social media channels and marketing materials and examining their content. In addition, the data was complemented with thematic interviews with the client, a competitor analysis, and a customer survey. These methods provided an overall picture of the company’s current marketing situation and development needs. &#13;
&#13;
The results indicated that the company’s social media marketing reaches its current followers, but there are developmental needs in interaction and engagement. The competitor analysis showed that regular and systematic content production supports increased visibility. The target group consisted of young and working women who value visual and easily approachable content. &#13;
&#13;
In conclusion, the company’s marketing can be developed by increasing planning, unifying the visual identity, and producing more regular and diverse content across social media channels. The marketing plan created in this thesis serves as a practical tool for developing the company’s marketing activities.

Opinnäytetyössä tutkittiin tekijän monialaisuuden vaikutuksia luovaan ilmaisuun sekä musiikin ja kuvataiteen vuoropuhelua. Työssä taustoitettiin kineettisen taiteen historiaa ja käytiin läpi opinnäytetyön taiteellisen osuuden, vanhoista esineistä koostuvan ääni-installaation syntyprosessin vaiheita sekä lopputuloksiin vaikuttaneita tapahtuma- ja ajatusketjuja. Tarkasteltiin siirtymää maalauksesta tilalliseen työskentelyyn. &#13;
&#13;
Siinä tarkasteltiin improvisaatiota luovuuden metodina, vapauden tilana sekä välineenä kontrollista luopumiseen musiikillisessa ja taiteellisessa työskentelyssä. Työssä taustoitettiin improvisaation historiallista kaarta sekä sen luonnetta spontaanina, ihmiselle lajityypillisenä toimintana. Käsiteltiin tekijän henkilökohtaisia kokemuksia improvisoidun musiikin soittamisesta ja sen kokonaisvaltaisista vaikutuksista. Työssä todettiin improvisaation olevan loppumaton uutta luova voimavara, joka opettaa kokijalleen inhimillisyyttä.; This thesis examined the effects of interdisciplinarity on creative expression, as well as the dialogue between music and visual arts. The thesis explored the history of kinetic art and reviewed the stages and thought processes behind the creation of the artistic component of the thesis which was a sound installation assembled from old mechanical clocks and other objects. In addition it examined the transition from painting to site-specific artistic practice.&#13;
&#13;
The thesis discussed improvisation as a method of creativity, a state of freedom, and a means of letting go of needless control in any artistic work. It provided historical background on improvisation and examined its nature as a spontaneous activity characteristic of human beings. The work explored the author’s personal experiences of playing improvised music and its holistic effects. It concluded that improvisation is an endless source of new creativity that teaches the practitioner about humanity.

The objectives of this thesis were to explore how food tourism can support the preservation and visibility of minority cultural and culinary heritage within the Finnish Tatar community, particularly through the example of Pärämäts, a traditional Tatar food with cultural significance within the community. &#13;
&#13;
The research was conducted as qualitative research. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with members of the Finnish Tatar community and with experts in food tourism, culinary culture, destination development, and the restaurant industry. The interviews were conducted via Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and email correspondence. The data were analysed using thematic analysis.&#13;
&#13;
Findings indicated that limited knowledge and awareness of the Finnish Tatar community are shaped not only by the availability of information but also by how cultural knowledge is communicated and experienced. Storytelling, education, media, and experiential approaches were identified as important ways of increasing understanding and engagement with minority cultures. Food tourism was seen as a meaningful context for enhancing cultural awareness, as it combines experience, learning, and cultural exchange.&#13;
&#13;
A recurring theme across the findings was the importance of community-led approaches in the preservation, transmission, and representation of Tatar culinary heritage. Visibility was found to play a key role in awareness and continuity, but it should be guided by the community to ensure respectful and accurate representation. Authenticity was identified as a negotiated and evolving concept, shaped by tradition and adaptation.&#13;
&#13;
It was concluded that the Finnish Tatar community represents an important but relatively underrecognized part of Finland’s cultural diversity, which may be related to the community’s self-described low-profile approach. The findings also indicate interest in Tatar culinary traditions, particularly Pärämäts, which was seen as a potential medium for both preserving cultural heritage within the community and increasing the visibility of Tatar culture in wider Finnish society through food tourism.
