AMMATILLISEN PERHEKODIN HOITO- JA KASVATUSSUUNNITELMA : Työväline lapsen ja vanhemman kuulemiseen

Abstract

Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli tuottaa ammatilliselle perhekodille hoito- ja kasvatussuunnitelma, työväline, jonka avulla perhekotiin sijoitettujen lasten osallisuutta oman arjen ja elämän suunnittelussa voidaan tukea ja lisätä. Tarkoitus olisi, että hoito- ja kasvatussuunnitelma säännöllisesti käytettynä lisäisi perhekodin työn suunnitelmallisuutta ja tavoitteellisuutta sekä toimisi työvälineenä syntymävanhempien kanssa tehtävässä yhteistyössä. Opinnäytetyö oli vahvasti työelämälähtöinen, ja se toteutettiin tiiviissä yhteistyössä perhekodin kanssa.

Opinnäytetyö koostui toteutetusta hoito- ja kasvatussuunnitelmasta sekä teoriaosuudesta. Valmis hoito- ja kasvatussuunnitelma koostui yhteisestä, lapsen omasta ja syntymävanhempien omasta osiosta. Hoito- ja kasvatussuunnitelman osiot ja sisällöt valitsin tarkkaan harkiten ja peilaten niitä jatkuvasti teoreettiseen tietoon, lasten tarpeisiin ja työntekijöiden toiveisiin. Teoriaosuuden rajasin käsittelemään lasten sijaishuoltoa, lapsen osallisuutta ja yhteistyötä syntymävanhempien kanssa.

Kaksi perhekodin työntekijää testasi hoito- ja kasvatussuunnitelmaa syksyllä 2015 kaikkien viiden perhekodissa asuvan, sijoitetun lapsen kanssa. Lapset olivat iältään 5−14-vuotiatia. Yhdessä hoito- ja kasvatusneuvottelussa oli mukana myös lapsen syntymävanhempi.

Hoito- ja kasvatussuunnitelman arviointi perustui perhekodin työntekijöiden antamaan palautteeseen sekä täytettyjen hoito- ja kasvatussuunnitelmien analysointiin. Perhekodin työntekijöiden mukaan hoito- ja kasvatussuunnitelma antoi lapsille ja lasten vanhemmille mahdollisuuden omien ajatusten, mielipiteiden ja toiveiden esittämiseen, ja näin ollen se lisäsi lasten osallisuutta. Hoito- ja kasvatussuunnitelman koettiin antavan hyvän keskustelupohjan syntymävanhempien kanssa tehtävään yhteistyöhön.

The purpose of this bachelor's thesis was to produce a care and education plan for a professional family home, especially, to increase and support the participation of children in foster care in planning their everyday life. The goal was to make the care and education plan as clear, child-centered and participatory as possible and when used on a regular basis, to increase orderliness and goal orientation as well as to be used as a tool when working with children’s birth parents. The thesis has a strong connection to working life and it is prepared in close cooperation with the family home.

The thesis consists of the care and education plan and a theoretical part. Completed care and education plan consists of a shared section, the child’s own section and the birth parents’ own section. The theoretical part deals with children’s foster care, participation of child and cooperation with birth parents.

The completed care and education plan was tested in autumn of 2015 by two employees. They tested it with all five children separately. Children were aged 5 to 14 years. In one care and education meeting there was also child’s birth parent present.

The evaluation of the care and education plan is based on the feedback given by the employees and analysis of the filled care and education plans. According to the employees of the family home, the care and education plan gave the opportunity for children and birth parents to express their thoughts, opinions and wishes. Consequently, the employees stated that children’s participation has increased. The employees also thought that the care and education plan will work as a tool for conversation and cooperation with birth parents.
