This study describes key aspects that should be covered in the BIM standard. It will be a brief description of BIM, shown the main advantages of it over the classic design. It should be noted that the basis of the standard is based on “Closed” BIM system. However, issues related to the Open BIM also will be occur. This research work will be explained the essence of the Industry Foundation Classes.
Special attention is given to the COBIe Data system, a very important part of the Building Information Modeling, simplify the work of a facility management and to the open format IFC (Industry Foundation Classes).
