Punch-järjestelmän tietojen analysointi

Abstract

Tämä insinöörityö tehtiin Neste Oyj:n toimeksiantona. Työn tarkoituksena oli analysoida Porvoon öljynjalostamon suurseisokissa keväällä 2015 syntyneiden laatupoikkeamien aiheuttamia kustannusvaikutuksia, selvittää eniten laatuongelmia aiheuttaneet työvaiheet sekä vertailla eri urakoitsijoiden menestymistä. Saatuja tuloksia on tarkoitus käyttää yrityksessä päätöksenteon tukena mm. seisokkien ja investointiprojektien töiden hallinnan kehittämisessä.

Teoriaosuudessa käytiin läpi laatuajattelun ja mekaanisen valmiuden periaatteet, ja kerrottiin lyhyesti Nesteen TA2015 -suurseisokista. Lisäksi selostettiin, minkälainen on Punch Management -toimintamalli sekä siihen liittyvä tietojärjestelmä.

Työn käytännön osuudessa suunniteltiin ja toteutettiin laatupoikkeamatietojen analysointi. Analyysituloksista pidettiin yrityksessä seminaari, jonka aikana saadut tulokset sekä niihin pohjautuvat kehitysajatukset käytiin läpi. Kyseinen tilaisuus oli avoin koko Nesteen henkilökunnalle, mutta se kohdistettiin erityisesti suurseisokin avainhenkilöille.

Saatujen tulosten perusteella listattiin Punch Managementin onnistumiset, haasteet sekä kehitysideat. Tietojärjestelmän sisältämän datan todettiin olevan linjassa kentällä havaittuun kokemusperäiseen tietoon nähden. Tämän insinöörityön tulosten perusteella on mahdollista kehittää Punch-järjestelmää ja toimintamallia entistä paremmiksi. Punch Management -prosessissa tuli vastaan myös ongelmakohtia, joihin on syytä panostaa, jotta ongelmilta palvelutoimittajien töiden laadunvalvonnan suhteen vältytään jatkossa.

This Bachelor’s thesis was commissioned by Neste Corporation. The purpose of this thesis was to analyze quality deviations that occurred during the refinery’s shutdown which took place in spring of 2015. The goal was to find out the cost effects of the discovered deviations and also to define which stages of the shutdown caused the majority of problems and to compare the success of subcontractors. The results will be used in decision making to support some of Neste’s development projects in e.g. work quality management.

The basic principles of quality thinking and mechanical completion were explained in the theory part of this Bachelor’s thesis. Punch Management and the web-based application interface were also examined thoroughly. In addition, Neste’s shutdown in 2015 was also described briefly in the introduction of this Bachelor’s thesis.

The analysis of quality deviations was designed and put into practice in the practical seg-ment of this thesis. A seminar based on the results was arranged by Neste Corporation where the results and development suggestions were explained to the company’s staff. The seminar was open to the whole personnel but it was mainly targeted for the key people of TA2015.

In conclusion, the accomplishments, challenges and development solutions of Punch Management were listed according to the results of the analysis. The data contained in the information system supported the empirical information gathered by fieldworkers, i.e. with the results of this Bachelor’s thesis it is possible to develop and improve the system and operation model. Furthermore, some problems and challenges were discovered during this project. The discovered problems, which focused mainly on contractor quality management, should be solved as quickly as possible so they can be avoided in the future.
