Historiikkivideoiden tuottaminen järjestölle

Abstract

Insinöörityönä toteutettiin historiikkivideo, mainosvideo, useita tallennevideoita ja muita lyhyitä videoita Vantaalla toimivalle järjestölle. Insinöörityön osuutena oli molempien videoiden kokonaisuuden hallinta.

Insinöörityön tarkoituksena oli myös analysoida historiikkivideon ja tallennevideoiden myötä toteutettu projekti teknisestä näkökulmasta tarkastellen. Insinöörityössä perehdyttiin työvaiheisiin tarkasti ja selvitettiin taustoja sekä projektissa tehtyjä valintoja. Näin pyrittiin selvittämään, miten projektin toteuttaminen onnistui valituilla työtavoilla ja sitä kautta analysoimaan projektin onnistuminen.

Usean videokokonaisuuden tuottaminen on monien työvaiheiden summa, joten kokonaisuuden hallinta on välttämätöntä. Hyvä tekninen tietämys on myös tarpeellinen lähtökohta videoiden toteuttamiseen. Tärkeässä roolissa on myös riittävä ja hyväksi todettu kommunikointi tilaajan kanssa. Kun näkemys projektin toteuttamisesta on selvä jo alkuvaiheessa, säästyy työntekoon käytettävää aikaa huomattavasti.

Varsinkin tallennevideoiden tekemisessä opittiin monta asiaa liittyen monikameratuotantoon. Historiikkivideon ja muiden videoiden tuottamisen eri vaiheista saatiin paljon uutta tietoa ja kokemusta tulevaisuuden projekteihin. Projektin aikana tehtiin paljon yhteistyötä tilaajaosapuolen kanssa, ja se opetti paljon kommunikointitavoista projektien aikana. Kokonaisuudesta tuli onnistunut ja tilaajalle mieluinen, joten tästä voidaan olla tyytyväisiä. Tuotantotapaa, jolla projekti toteutettiin, voidaan pitää hyvänä muun muassa videoiden tekemistä harrastaville.

The purpose of the final year project was to produce and analyze both biography and commercial videos, and survey the subject from technical point of view. Different phases of production were studied closely and the background and reasons for the choices made were investigated carefully. In this way, the goal was to to find out how well the project went. This also offered a chance to analyze the success of the project afterwards.

During the project, videos like a biography videos and some multi-camera productions were done with a project group for a service organization. The final year project consisted of producing biography videos.

In general, producing several videos is the sum of many stages of work, so managing the whole process is very important. Sufficient technical knowledge is a good starting point for the implementation of a video. Also good communication with the customer is an important part of the project. Finding a common vision in an early stage of a project will save time used in the final work considerably.

Producing the document videos taught the production group many things about multi-camera production. Producing the videos gave new information about all stages of the workflow, which gave many tips for future projects. During the project collaboration with the customer was frequent, and a lot was learnt about communication during the project.

Fully implemented, the project was successful. The product was finalized according to the customer’s needs, which is some thing to be satisfied with. The way this production was done can be recommended to amateurs too.
