Lean Vehasen Talot Oy:n hirsitalotuotannossa

Abstract

Opinnäytetyön aiheena oli lean hirsitalotuotannossa. Lean on tuotannonohjausjärjestelmä ja ajattelutapa. Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli tutkia leanin erilaisia mahdollisuuksia yrityksen tuotannossa. Työn toimeksiantaja oli Vehasen Talot Oy, joka halusi leanin avulla parantaa työn tehokkuutta ja vähentää hukkatekijöitä tuotannosta.

Teoriaosuudessa käsiteltiin muun muassa leanin historiaa ja ajattelutapaa sekä erilaisia Vehaselle soveltuvia työkaluja ja menetelmiä. Lisäksi käsiteltiin myös työssä käytettävää kvalitatiivista tutkimusta ja haastattelua sekä arvovirtakaavion laatimista.

Yritykselle laadittiin arvovirtakuvaus, josta saatiin selville sen nykytila. Arvovirtakuvauksen avulla nähtiin myös, mitä osa-alueita yrityksen kannattaisi tulevaisuudessa kehittää. Tutkimus suoritettiin vuoden 2015 kevään ja kesän välisenä aikana. Samalla suoritettiin yrityksen henkilökunnalle haastattelut, joista selvisi yrityksen ongelmia sekä kehityskohteita.

The subject of the thesis was lean in log house production. Lean is a production control system, as well as a philosophy. The purpose of this thesis was to explore the different possibilities of lean in a company production system. The thesis was assigned by Vehasen Talot Ltd, which wanted to incorporate lean methods into their production systems in order to improve work efficiency and reduce the waste factors in production.

The theoretical part focused on the history and philosophy, as well as a variety of tools and methods that were appropriate for the company. In addition, it also deals with qualitative research, interviews and the drafting of the value stream map.

The company was drawn up on the current value stream map which revealed its current state. The value stream map also shows what areas the company should develop in the future. The research was carried out during the spring and summer 2015. During that period interviews were conducted with the personnel of the company. The interviews revealed the company's problems as well as areas for development from the perspective of the employees.
