Perehdyttäminen hotellin vastaanotossa

Abstract

Tämä toiminnallinen opinnäytetyö käsittelee perehdyttämistä hotellin vastaanotossa. Opinnäytetyön toimeksiantajana on Alex Park Lahti Oy. Yritys harjoittaa Lahdessa majoitus- ja ravintolatoimintaa nimellä Alex Park Hotel. Opinnäytetyön toiminnallisena osana on tehty tulokkaan tietopaketti Alex Park Hotelin vastaanottoon. Työn pääasiallisena kohderyhmänä ovat hotellin vastaanottoon tulevat työharjoittelijat, työssäoppijat ja uudet työntekijät.Teoriaosassa käsitellään perusteita perehdyttämiselle turvallisuus-, laatu-, lainsäädäntö- ja koulutusnäkökulmista. Lisäksi työssä perehdytään hotellin toimintaympäristöön sekä perehdyttämiseen ja työnopastukseen hotellin vastaanotossa. Tulokkaan tietopakettiin on koottu tietoa koko yrityksestä, sen palveluista ja tuotteista, henkilökuntainfoa sekä oleellisia asioita, joita vastaanotossa työskentelevän on tiedettävä. Tietopaketti on koottu kansioon, jota säilytetään Alex Park Hotelin vastaanotossa henkilökunnan saatavilla. Tarkoitus on, että vastaanottoon tuleva tulokas perehtyy siihen ensimmäisinä työpäivinään. Tietopaketin yhtenä tavoitteena on toimia yrityksessä perehdyttämisen apuvälineenä.Opinnäytetyön perusteella voidaan todeta, että perehdyttäminen on tärkeä prosessi työpaikoilla. Se edesauttaa uutta työntekijää sopeutumaan uuteen työyhteisöön sekä tulemaan yhteisön toimivaksi jäseneksi. Päävastuu perehdyttämisestä on esimiehellä, jonka on tarjottava perehdytettävälle heti alusta alkaen oikeita työvälineitä ja -menetelmiä. Perehdyttäminen vaikuttaa osaltaan yrityksen laatuun, tehokkuuteen, työturvallisuuteen, ilmapiiriin, kustannuksiin sekä työntekijöiden vaihtuvuuteen.

This functional thesis deals with job orientation at hotel reception. As the functional part of the thesis a newcomer's information package has been made out as an assignment for Alex Park Lahti Oy. The main target groups are trainees, on-the-job trainees and new employees at the hotel reception. The theory part describes the basics for job orientation from safety, quality, legislation and educational point of view. The thesis also deals with the field of hotel operations, training and on-the-job training at the hotel reception. The newcomer's information package consists of facts about the whole corporation, its services and products, as well as essential facts you must know when working at a hotel reception. The information package will be kept in a folder available for the personnel in the Alex Park Hotel. The purpose is that a newcomer gets oriented when using the information package during his or her first working days. One aim of the information package is to serve as a tool in the orientation process. This thesis shows that training is a very important process in the workplaces. It makes it easier for a newcomer to adapt to a new working community and become its active member. The superior has the main responsibility for the training of the employees. He or she has to provide the newcomer with the right working tools and methods from the start. Training has an impact on the company's quality, effectiveness, job safety, atmosphere, expenses and staff turnover.
