Onnistunut käytännön harjoittelu : fysioterapiaopiskelijan ohjausprosessi asiantuntijapalvelujen fysioterapian osastolla

Abstract

Opinnäytetyössä kehitettiin Tyksin osaston TF1 fysioterapiaopiskelijoiden laadukasta koulutusohjelmaan kuuluvaa ohjattua harjoittelua. Opinnäytetyön tuloksena syntyneen ohjausprosessin avulla kehitettiin harjoittelun ohjausta ja sen yhdenmukaisuutta. Opinnäytetyön on tarkoitus palvella opiskelijaa, opiskelijaohjaajaa sekä opettajaa. Valmis prosessi tulee VSSHP:n internetsivuille ohjaavien fysioterapeuttien, opiskelijoiden, ohjaavien opettajien ja muiden ohjausprosessista kiinnostuneiden saataville.

Opinnäytetyössä selvitettiin miten opiskelijan kehittyminen ja oppimisen tukeminen sekä ammatillisten valmiuksien ja ammatti-identiteetin vahvistuminen toteutuvat tällä hetkellä Turun yliopistollisen keskussairaalan osastolla TF1. Lisäksi selvitettiin miten opiskelijan kehittymistä ja oppimisen tukemista sekä ammatillisten valmiuksien ja ammatti-identiteetin vahvistamista tulisi kehittää. Teoreettisena lähtökohtana opinnäytetyössä sovellettiin Engeströmin kehittävän työntutkimuksen menetelmää.

Opinnäytetyö toteutettiin kyselytutkimuksena ja työkokouksena. Kyselytutkimukseen osallistui 18 osaston TF1 fysioterapeuttia/osastonhoitajaa ja 7 osastolla TF1 harjoittelunsa suorittanutta Turun ammattikorkeakoulun opiskelijaa. Työkokoukseen osallistui osaston TF1 fysioterapeutit. Kyselyn ja työkokouksen pohjalta kehitettiin valmis fysioterapiaopiskelijan ohjausprosessi osastolle TF1.

Osastolla TF1 on kannustava ilmapiiri ja oppimisympäristö, hyvät vuorovaikutussuhteet, suunnitellut ja riittävät oppimismahdollisuudet sekä yksilölliset kehittymismahdollisuudet, jotka tukevat opiskelijan kehittymistä ja oppimista. Opiskelijat saavat kollegiaalista kohtelua sekä ammatilliseen yhteistyöhön perustuvan ohjaussuhteen, jotka vahvistavat opiskelijan ammatillisten valmiuksien ja ammatti-identiteetin kasvua. Osastolla TF1 pitää kehittää ohjaajan pedagogisia taitoja ja monipuolisia ohjausmenetelmiä, opetussuunnitelmaan tutustumista sekä arviointeja.

The purpose of this thesis was to further develop the high-quality guided clinical training that physiotherapist students receive as part of their training program at the Turku University Hospi-tal's TF1 ward. The guidance process that was created as a result of this thesis was applied in developing the training guidance and its consistency. The thesis is intended to serve the stu-dent, the instructor, and the teacher. The completed process will be available for students, physiotherapists and teachers providing student guidance as well as others interested in the guidance process on the website of the Hospital District of Southwest Finland.

The objective was to find out how student development and learning support as well as ad-vancement in professional capability and identity are currently accomplished at the Turku Uni-versity Hospital's TF1 ward. Moreover, the aim was to study how the aforementioned areas could be developed. The theoretical framework of the thesis was based on Engeström's devel-opmental work research method.

The thesis was carried out as a survey and a workshop. Participants in the survey included eighteen physiotherapists / nurse managers from the TF1 ward and seven students from the Turku University of Applied Sciences who had completed their training at the ward. Participants in the workshop comprised of the TF1 ward's physiotherapists. The results of the survey and workshop were used as a basis for developing a complete guidance process for physiothera-pists at the TF1 ward.

TF1 ward has a supportive atmosphere and learning environment, well-functioning interaction, planned and sufficient learning opportunities as well as possibilities for individual development, all of which support the student's progress and learning. Students enjoy collegial treatment and a guidance relationship based on professional cooperation, which strengthen the students' pro-fessional capability and identity. Areas to be developed at the TF1 ward include the instructor's pedagogic skills and versatile guidance methods, familiarization with the curriculum, and eval-uations.
