Ohjevideot uuden tietojärjestelmän käyttökoulutuksen tueksi

Abstract

Tämän toiminnallisen opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli tuottaa ohjevideot uuden tietojärjestelmän käytön tueksi Yritys X Oy:ssä. Lisäksi tavoitteena oli selvittää palautekyselyä apuna käyttäen kannattaako jatkossakin käyttää ohjevideoita tietojärjestelmän ohjeistamisen välineenä. Yritys X Oy:ssä ei ole aiemmin käytetty ohjevideoita.

Kehittämistutkimukseen sovellettiin laadullista tutkimusmenetelmää. Aineiston keruussa käytettiin teemahaastattelua. Teemahaastatteluihin valittiin ne henkilöt, jotka kuuluvat siihen kohderyhmään, jonka tarpeisiin ohjevideot tuotettiin.

Kehittämistyön perusajatuksena oli, että ohjevideot nähtiin parempana ohjeistamisen välineenä kuin kirjalliset ja kuvitetut ohjeet. Ohjevideoita voidaan tuottaa nopeasti tietojärjestelmän yksinkertaisista käyttötapauksista.

Työn teoreettisessa viitekehyksessä käsitellään ohjevideoita verkko-oppimisen yhtenä osa-alueena. Lisäksi teoriaosuudessa selvitetään yleisellä tasolla myös hyvien ohjeiden vaatimuksia.

Projektin tavoite saavutettiin; ohjevideot saatiin tuotettua aikataulussa. Lisäksi toimeksiantajalle tuotettiin tietoa siitä, kannattaako jatkossa tuottaa tietojärjestelmien ohjeet videoina vai kirjallisessa muodossa.

Saadun palautteen perusteella nähdään, että ohjevideot toimivat osittain ohjeistamisen välineenä tietojärjestelmän käytön tukena. Palautteesta ilmenee myös, että kirjallisiakin ohjeita tarvitaan.

The goal of this thesis was to produce video tutorials to support the use of a new information system for the commissioning Company X Ltd. In addition, the aim was to find out if the infor-mation system instructions should be in video or written format. A feedback survey was sent to users to evaluate the use of video tutorials in their daily work. Before this thesis was conducted, Company X Ltd was not using video tutorials in any form.

The development research applied qualitative research methods. Theme interviews were used in collecting the data. Video tutorials were produced for a certain user group and people from this group were selected for the interviews.

The outcome of this development research was that the video tutorials were seen as a better format for instructions than written ones. Video tutorials are also faster to produce compared to written and illustrated instructions.

The theoretical framework of this thesis deals with video tutorials as part of e-learning. In addition, the general requirements of good instructions are clarified.

The project objective was achieved; instructional videos were produced on schedule. In addition, information for the client was produced about whether to continue to produce instructional videos or written instructions.

On the basis of the feedback received from users, it was observed that instructional videos work partially for instructing the use of the new information system. Feedback also shows that the written instructions are also needed in this case company.
