Putken nimilappu

Abstract

Opinnäytetyön aiheena oli muovinen putken nimilappu, jota käytetään lattialämmitysputkien nimeämiseen vesikiertoista lattialämmitystä asennettaessa. Tässä työssä käsitellään kyseisen muovituotteen ja muotin suunnittelua sekä muotin valmistuksen ja testaamisen eri vaiheita. Teoriaosassa selvitetään kalvo- eli integraalisaranan suunnitteluun vaikuttavia tekijöitä. Lisäksi tarkastellaan eri materiaalien soveltuvuutta kyseisen saranan valmistuksessa. Tuotesuunnittelu alkoi asiakkaan toiveiden ja vanhan nimilapun ominaisuuksien pohjalta. Värin tuli olla vihreän läpikuultava. Tuotteesta haluttiin tehdä edullinen, eikä sen muotissa saanut olla sivuttain liikkuvia osia. Muovinen nimilappu päädyttiin tekemään siten, että se tulee tasomaisessa muodossa muotista. Tuotteeseen tuli kaksi integraalisaranaa, joista se taivutellaan käytettävään muotoon. Muotinvalmistus aloitettiin tuote- ja muottisuunnitelmien jälkeen. Tuotteen muodot muottiin valmistettiin kipinätyöstökoneella. Muotin osien valmistuttua muotti kasattiin toimintakuntoon ja asennettiin ruiskuvalukoneeseen. Muottia koeajettiin useaan otteeseen. Niiden välillä tehtiin muottiin tarvittavia korjauksia. Muotin valmistuttua tuotantokuntoon aloitettiin koeajot, joilla etsittiin tuotteelle sopiva materiaali ja sen jälkeen väri. Nimilappuja valmistettiin 10 000 kpl:n erä asiakkaalle. Kokonaisuutena nimilappu onnistui hyvin. Asiakas oli erittäin tyytyväinen tuotteeseen. Niitä oli esillä Lahden Raksa Rakentaminen, remontoiminen ja saneeraaminen messuilla maaliskuussa 2006.

The topic of this thesis was a plastic label holder for floor heating pipes. The label holder is used to name individual pipes when the floor heating is installed. The thesis deals with designing the plastic label holder and its mould, and also different phases of making and testing the mould. The theory part discusses the factors that affect designing an integral film hinge. In addition, it deals with how different materials suit this kind of hinges. The starting point for the design of this product was based on the customer's wishes and started from of the properties of an old label holder model. The colour of the product was to be translucent green. The product should also be cheap, so the mould could not have parts moving sideways. The product was planned to be planar in the mould and it includes two integral hinges from where it can be bent to the required shape. The production of the mould was started after the product and mould design. The shape of the product was made in the mould with an electrical discharge machine. When all parts were ready, the mould was assembled and installed in the injection moulding machine. The mould was test driven several times. Between the test runs the required modifications were made. When the mould was ready for production, more test runs were made to determine right plastic material and colour. A batch of 10 000 label holders were manufactured for the customer. As a whole the label holder succeeded well. The customer was very satisfied with the product. The product was displayed at the exhibition of "Raksa Rakentaminen, remontoiminen ja saneeraaminen" in Lahti in March 2006.
