Haavan alipaineimuhoidon sidosvaihto : Opetusvideo hoitotyön opiskelijoille

Abstract

Toiminnallisen opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli tuottaa opetusvideo alipaineimuhoidon sidosvaihdosta Tampereen ammattikorkeakoulun hoitotyön opiskelijoille. Opinnäytetyön tehtävänä oli selvittää mitä on alipaineimuhoito ja miten alipaineimuhoidon sidosvaihto tehdään. Tavoitteena oli lisätä hoitotyön opiskelijoiden tietoa ja osaamista alipaineimu-hoidosta ja sen sidosvaihdosta potilas huomioiden. Työelämäyhteytenä toimi Tampereen ammattikorkeakoulun hoitotyön yksikkö.

Opinnäytetyön teoreettisissa lähtökohdissa käsitellään laadukas haavanhoito, alipaineimuhoito ja sen sidosvaihto sekä hyvän opetusvideon kriteerejä. Opinnäytetyön tuotoksena oli opetusvideo hoitotyön opiskelijoille. Opetusvideolla käydään läpi, miten potilas huomioidaan, mitä välineitä tarvitaan ja miten aseptiikka toteutetaan alipaineimuhoidon sidosvaihdon aikana. Potilaan kohtaamista on korostettu videolla siten, että videon potilaana esiintyy nuken lisäksi myös oikea henkilö. Opetusmenetelmänä video palvelee opiskelijoita, jotka oppivat sekä visuaalisesti että auditiivisesti. Opetusvideo antaa valmiuksia alipaineimuhoidosta hoitotyön opiskelijoille sekä harjoitteluun että työelämään. Opetusvideon käyttötarkoitusta ei ole rajattu tiettyyn opintovaiheeseen, vaan se soveltuu näytettäväksi milloin vain opintojen aikana.

Sekä opinnäytetyössä että opetusvideolla esitetään alipaineimuhoidon sidosvaihdossa käytettäviä välineitä ja selvitetään sidosvaihdon eri vaiheet potilas huomioiden. Opetusvideo selkeyttää hoitotyön ammattilaisen työvaiheita alipaineimuhoidon sidosvaihdossa. Opinnäytetyön kehittämisehdotukseksi nousi uuden opetusvideon tekeminen, jossa esiteltäisiin useita ja haastavia haavoja, jolloin voitaisiin tuoda esille eri sidosmenetelmiä alipaineimuhoidossa. Jatkotutkimuksena opinnäytetyölle voisi olla laadullinen eli kvalitatiivinen tutkimus, jossa selvitettäisiin sekä hoitajien että potilaiden kokemuksia alipaineimuhoidosta.

The purpose of this study was to produce an educational video of negative pressure wound therapy dressing change for the nursing students in the University of Applied Sciences of Tampere. The aim of the study was to find out what negative pressure wound therapy is and how to make dressing change on this wound therapy. The objec-tive of this study was to increase knowledge of negative pressure wound therapy and ability to its dressing change including recognition of the patient.

The theoretical section explores quality wound therapy, negative pressure wound therapy and its dressing change and the criteria of a good educational video. The thesis was based on functional approach. The result of the study was an educational video for nursing students. The educational video demonstrates what equipment is needed, how to accomplish protection against infections and how to notice the patient during the dressing change of negative pressure wound therapy. The educational video clarifies the stages of negative pressure wound therapy dressing change for nurse practitioners.

The focus of the study is on negative pressure wound therapy and dressing change of it. The patient should be taken into consideration in all stages of the dressing change. Further research is required to examine patients’ and nurses’ experiences of negative pressure wound therapy. The development suggestion for the study is to make a new educational video of negative pressure wound therapy dressing change of challenging and different kind of wounds. The video could introduce a variety of wound fillers in this wound therapy method.
