Puistotorin vihersuunnitelma : Oleskelu- ja leikkipuisto hulevesien hallinta-alueena

Abstract

Hulevedet ja niiden hallinta ovat nousseet tärkeäksi osaksi kaupunkisuunnittelua, sillä ilmastonmuutoksen myötä on odotettavissa sateiden ja rankkasateiden lisääntymistä. Tiiviin rakentamisen ja läpäisemättömien pintojen johdosta hulevesien pintavalunta on lisääntynyt. Nopeasti johdetut hulevedet aiheuttavat myös rankkasateiden yhteydessä tulvimista. Lisäksi hulevedet kuormittavat vesistöjä. Nykyään hulevesien hallinnalla pyritäänkin hallitsemaan hulevettä määrällisesti ja laadullisesti luonnollisten hulevesien hallintarakenteiden avulla. Kun hulevesirakenteita suunnitellaan leikkipuistoon, on huomioitava myös veden puhtaus. Lapset leikkivät mielellään vedessä, mutta hulevesi ei ole puhdasta vettä.

Tässä opinnäytetyössä tutkitaan huleveden yhdistämistä leikkipaikalle. Jyväskylän kaupungin tavoitteena on parantaa hulevesien hallintaa luonnonmukaisilla hulevesirakenteilla, joka konkretisoituu osaltaan Puistotorin puiston vihersuunnitelmassa. Puistotorin puiston vihersuunnitelma sisältää puiston peruskunnostussuunnitelman ja hulevesisuunnitelman sekä vaihtoehtoisia luonnossuunnitelmia. Työn tilaaja on Jyväskylän kaupunki. Puistotorin puisto kuuluu Jyväskylän Green Street -hankkeeseen, jolla halutaan vähentää ja puhdistaa hulevesiä kaupungin keskustan pohjoispuolella.

Puistotorin vihersuunnitelman mukaan hulevesirakenteet muodostuvat niittypainanteista, hulevesiuomasta ja viivytysaltaasta, jossa hulevedet johtuvat, viipyvät, imeytyvät ja suodattuvat. Leikkipuisto laajenee ja monipuolistuu junateemaa korostaen. Työ on vaihtoehtojen kartoittamista ja se antaa tärkeää tietoa jatkotyöhön Puistotorin kehittämiseksi.

Storm water and storm water management have become an important part of the city planning, because climate change will increase rains and heavy rains. In consequence of the dense construction and the impermeable surface storm water runoff has increased. Storm water, which is piped fast, causes also flooding in connection with heavy rains. Additionally, storm water loads waterways. Nowadays storm water management strives to control storm water quantitatively and qualitatively by way of the natural structure of the storm water management. When the structure is planned to the playground, the purity of water needs to be taken into account. Children play with pleasure in water, but storm water is not pure water.

In this thesis storm water in a playground is studied. The aim of the city of Jyväskylä is to improve the storm water management by the way of the natural structure, which becomes concrete for one’s part in the green plan of Puistotori. A green plan of Puistotori contains a repair plan and a storm water management plan, and alternative sketch plans. The commissioner of the thesis is the city of Jyväskylä. Puistotori belongs to the Green Street project in the city of Jyväskylä, which is expected to decrease and clean storm water in the north part of the city centre.

According to the green plan of Puistotori the structure of the storm water management is formed by the depressions of the field, a river channel and a delay pond, in which storm water flows, delays, is absorbed and infiltrates. A playground will expand and diversify emphasizing the train theme. The work is mapping the alternatives and it gives important information to follow-up work for the improvement of Puistotori.
