Tuotannon tehostaminen tuotetiedon hallintaa kehittämällä

Abstract

Tämän opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli kartoittaa kohdeyrityksen tuotannon suorituskykyä laskevia ongelmia ja hukkaa ja tehdä toimenpide-ehdotukset niiden vähentämiseksi. Kartoituksen perusteella tarkemmiksi kehityskohteiksi rajautuivat tuotetiedon hallintaan liittyvät ongelmat ja hukka.

Kehityskohteiden kartoittaminen suoritettiin tekemällä ensin riittävän tarkka kuvaus sellaisten tuote-tiedon hallintaan liittyvien toimintojen nykytilasta, jotka vaikuttivat tuotannon suorituskykyyn. Kar-toituksen perusteella löydettiin ongelmia ja hukkaa tuotekehityksestä, tuotannosta ja tiedon liikkumi-sesta niiden välillä. Kartoitukseen ja toimenpide-ehdotuksien tekemiseen käytettiin lean-toimintamalliin kuuluvia työkaluja ja toimintatapoja.

The main objective of this thesis was to map problems and waste that lowered the performance of the production process in the company that commissioned the thesis and to make suggestions on how to fix them. During the mapping process, the main focus point of this thesis was assigned to problems and waste that were related to PDM, or product data management.

The mapping for potential areas of development started with making a sufficiently accurate descrip-tion of the way the company currently performed operations that were related to PDM and influenced the performance of the production process. The areas that were found to have problems and waste were product development, production and product data related communication between the process-es. Tools and principles from the lean production model were used to perform the problem and waste mapping and to make the suggestions on how to fix them.
