Abstract

MARAK-menetelmän tunnettuuden lisääminen Kainuun sosiaali- ja terveysalan ammattilaisille on raportti toiminnallisesta opinnäytetyöstä, joka toteutettiin vuosien 2016–2017 aikana. Opinnäytetyö koostuu teoriaosuudesta ja kolmesta osasuorituksesta joita ovat MARAK-prosessista ja parisuhdeväkivallasta kertovan videon käsikirjoitus, MARAK-toiminnasta kertova esite sekä MARAK-prosessista ja parisuhdeväkivallasta kertova video. Opinnäytetyön teoriaosuus käsittelee parisuhdeväkivallan muotoja ja määritelmää.

Opinnäytetyö on kehittämispainotteinen. Opinnäytetyön tavoite on tuoda MARAK-menetelmä ja riskinarviointilomakkeen käyttö Kainuun sosiaali- ja terveydenhuollon kuntayhtymän työntekijöiden tietoisuuteen ja työvälineeksi sekä antaa ammattilaisille tietoa parisuhdeväkivallasta ja keinoja sen puheeksiottoon videon avulla. Tavoitteena on myös esitteen avulla jakaa yleisesti tietoa MARAK-menetelmästä ja saattaa parisuhdeväkivallan uhreja tai väkivallan uhan alla eläviä ihmisiä avun piiriin. Opinnäytetyö toteutettiin moniammatillisessa yhteistyössä Kainuun MARAK-työryhmän ja videon osalta Kainuun ammattiopiston opiskelijoiden kanssa.

Työelämäyhteistyökumppaneilta saadun palautteen mukaan valmiit tuotokset lisäävät parisuhdeväkivallan ja MARAK-menetelmän näkyvyyttä.

Increasing awareness of the MARAC-method among social and health care professionals in Kainuu is a report of a functional thesis. The work was carried out during 2016-2017. The thesis consists of a theoretical part and three outputs; a manuscript of a video about the MARAC-process and the domestic (intimate partner) violence, the MARAC brochure, and the video about the MARAC-process and the domestic (intimate partner) violence. The theoretical part of the thesis consists of different forms and definition of domestic (intimate partner) violence.

The thesis is development-oriented and the goal is to introduce the MARAC-method and the use of the risk assessment form to the awareness of and as a tool for the employees of Kainuu Social Welfare and Health Care Joint Authority with the help of a video, and to provide information about the domestic (intimate partner) violence and ways to talk about it to professionals. Another goal is to share the information via a brochure about the MARAC-method, and to get help for the victims of the domestic (intimate partner) violence or for the people living under a threat of violence. The thesis was implemented in multi-professional cooperation with the Kainuun MARAC-workgroup and the video with the help of students of Kainuu Vocational College.

According to the feedback from working life partners, the finished products increases the visibility of the domestic (intimate partner) violence and the MARAC-method.
