Drogmissbruk bland ungdomar i Jakobstad : en kvalitativ studie om ungdomars drogmissbruk i Jakobstad

Abstract

Syftet med detta lärdomsprov är att undersöka drogmissbruket bland ungdomar i Jakobstad ur myndigheters och ungdomars synvinkel. I undersökningen vill vi få svar på varför droganvändningen har eskalerat i Jakobstad samt jämföra myndigheters och ungdomars syn på droger.

I den teoretiska delen behandlas ungdomsåren för att få en inblick i hur ungdomar ter sig. Alla ungdomar utvecklas individuellt och i egen takt. Fakta om droger, samt de vanligaste drogerna som används i Jakobstad, finns också i teoridelen. Droger påverkar hjärnan och kroppen genom att man får ett rus och alla typer av droger är farliga. Att börja använda droger är ett medvetet val som människan gör. I början av empirin finns det med aktuella artiklar som rör drogmissbruket i Jakobstad. Droger är lättillgängliga och allt fler yngre personer har börjat använda droger.

Undersökningen genomförs som en kvalitativ forskning med fem myndigheter, en anhörig samt tre ungdomar som kommit i kontakt med droger. Myndigheterna hade alla samma åsikt om att drogmissbruket kan bero på att föräldrar pratar för lite med sina ungdomar samt att ungdomarna har för lite att göra i Jakobstad. Droger är ett tecken på att samhället och ungdomarna mår dåligt.

The purpose of the thesis is to investigate the drug abuse among the youth in the city of Jakobstad from authorities’ and the youths’ perspective. In the survey, our aim is to get an answer to why the use of drugs has escalated in Jakobstad as well as compare authorities’ and the youths’ view on drugs.

In the theoretical part, the adolescence is processed to get a view on how the youth are acting. All young people develop in different way and in their own pace. Facts about drugs as well as the most common drugs in Jakobstad will be discussed. Drugs affect the human brain and body by producing a rush and all kinds of drugs are dangerous. Starting to use drugs is a conscious choice, which a person makes. In the beginning of the empiric part, articles describe the current drug situation and the drug abuse in Jakobstad. Drugs are easily available and the age of people starting to use drugs decreases. The attitude towards drugs have changed and have become more liberate.

The survey is conducted as a qualitative research method containing five authorities, a relative as well as three youths who all have been in contact with drugs. The authorities were of the same opinion, that the drug abuse might depend on parents not speaking enough with their youth as well as the youth in Jakobstad not having enough things to do in their spare time. The use of drugs is a sign of the society as well as the youth not feeling well.
