ISOSKANSIO : Materiaali Keravan seurakunnan isosten työn tukemiseen

Abstract

Kaikkonen, Elina & Mokki, Bea. Isoskansio. Materiaali Keravan seurakunnan isosten työn tukemiseen. Helsinki, kevät 2018, 140 s., 6 liitettä. Diakonia-ammattikorkeakoulu, Sosiaalialan koulutusohjelma, Kristillisen lapsi- ja nuorisotyön suuntautumisvaihtoehto, sosionomi (AMK) + kirkon nuorisotyönohjaajan virkakelpoisuus.

Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli kehittää Keravan seurakunnassa käytössä olevaa Isoskansiota isosten tukemiseen isoskoulutuksen jälkeen. Opinnäytetyö tehtiin tilaustyönä Keravan seurakunnalle. Uudesta Isoskansiosta toivottiin selkeää kokonaisuutta, jossa sisällöt vastaavat käsitystä nykypäivän isosuudesta ja isosen tehtävistä.

Opinnäytetyön teoria perustuu Isoja ihmeitä -isostoiminnan linjauksen kuvaamaan isostoiminnan malliin sekä muuhun lähdekirjallisuuteen. Opinnäytetyön teoreettisia lähtökohtia ovat nuoren kuuluminen yhteisöihin, vapaaehtoisuus, isostoiminta sekä nuoren kasvun tukeminen. Opinnäytetyön raportissa on kuvattu tarkemmin myös opinnäytetyöprosessia suunnittelusta arviointiin.

Opinnäytetyötä varten haastateltiin Keravan seurakunnan työntekijöitä ja isosia. Haastattelut, sekä kerätty teoriatieto toimivat Isoskansion kehittämisen lähtökohtina. Uutta Isoskansiota arvioitiin yhdessä Keravan seurakunnan isosten ja työntekijöiden kanssa. Palautteen perusteella Isoskansiota kehitettiin edelleen ja lopulta opinnäytetyön tuotoksena syntyi visualisoitu ja selkeytetty Isoskansio.

Isoskansiosta kerätyn palautteen mukaan opinnäytetyölle asetetut tavoitteet toteutuivat. Palautteessa isoset kertoivat Isoskansion olevan hyödyllinen materiaali, joka on selkeä ja helppolukuinen. Isoskansio on jatkossa joustavasti kehitettävissä laajemmaksi kokonaisuudeksi erilaisiin tarpeisiin

The aim of the thesis was to develop a Confirmation Camp Counselors’ Guidebook to support young confirmed volunteers after their training in the Kerava Parish. The thesis was made at the request of the Kerava Parish. The request was to create a new Guidebook which would be easier to understand and better reflect the conception of today’s young volunteers and their tasks.

The theoretical framework of the thesis is the model established in “Isoja ihmeitä”, a new alignment which defines the activities of confirmed volunteers, published by the Office of the Church Council in 2016. The key aspects of the framework are belonging to communities, volunteerism, activities of young confirmed volunteers and supporting youths in their growth. The report contains a more detailed description of the different stages of the project, from the planning to the evaluation.

The young confirmed volunteers and workers of the Kerava Parish were interviewed for this study. The interviews and the theoretical framework worked as a baseline for the development of the Confirmation Camp Counselors’ Guidebook. The new Guidebook was evaluated together with the young volunteers and the workers of the Kerava Parish. Based on their feedback, the Guidebook was developed further and finally the outcome of this thesis was visually more appealing and more understandable guidebook.

According to the feedback the study reached the established aims. The young confirmed volunteers stated that the new Confirmation Camp Counselors’ Guidebook is a useful, understandable and readable material. In the future, the Guidebook will easily be to develop further into a more extensive format for diverse needs.
