Tuotannon läpimenoaikojen lyhentäminen

Abstract

Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena on tutkia, miten läpimenoaikoja voidaan lyhentää teollisuusyrityksessä. Kohdeyrityksen tuotantosuunta on piensarjatuotanto. Teoriaosuudessa käydään läpi tuotannonohjauksen menetelmiä ja niiden merkitystä tuo-tannossa. Teoriaosuuden jälkeen tarkasteltiin yrityksen ja toiminnanohjauksen nykytilannetta sekä tuotiin esille työssä käytettyjä tutkimusmenetelmiä.

Opinnäytetyön tavoite on nostaa esille yrityksen kehitettävät kohteet ja pohtia niihin parannusehdotuksia. Tärkein kehityskohde on tuotannonohjaus. Työ toteutettiin tutkijan työskennellessä yrityksen tuotannossa osana yrityksen päivittäistä toimintaa. Tuotannon nykytilaa ja sen kehityskohteita tutkittiin tutkijan omien kokemuksien pohjalta sekä haastattelemalla yrityksen työntekijöitä.

Tuotannonohjauksen teoriaosuudessa valittiin työkaluja ja menetelmiä, jotka ovat tärkeitä työn kannalta ja joiden kautta voidaan lyhentää yrityksen läpimenoaikoja. Tarkoituksena on auttaa yritystä kehittymään näiden työkalujen avulla ja varautumaan tulevaisuudessa entisestään lisääntyvään projektitoimintaan.

Opinnäytetyössä myös yhdistettiin teoria sekä käytäntö ja niiden avulla pohdittiin kehitysehdotuksia yrityksen toimiin, erityisesti toiminnanohjaukseen. Tämän kautta pyritään myös vaikuttamaan teollisuusyrityksen läpimenoaikojen lyhentämiseen.

The purpose of this thesis was to research how lead time can be shortened in industry. The target company operates in small series production. The theoretical part of the thesis studied production management methods and their importance in production. After the theoretical studies the research concentrated on the current state of the firm and production management. Also the methods used in this thesis were introduced.

The goal of this thesis was to bring up the areas of the firm that need to be improved and find better options to solve the problems. The most important development area was production management. This study was realized as a part of production during the working days. The current state of production and the areas that need to be developed were studied based on the experiences of the researcher and by interviewing the employees of the company.

The theoretical part of the thesis handled the instruments and methods which are important for the daily work and with the help of which the lead time can be shortened. The purpose was to help the firm to develop their operation with the help of these methods and to be prepared for the increasing number of projects in the future.

In the thesis there was both theory and practise. They helped to find development ideas for the firm, especially concerning production management and shortening the lead time.
