Design Triennale Kuopio -tapahtuman konseptointi

Abstract

Opinnäytetyön aiheena on tapahtuman konseptointi palvelumuotoilullisin keinoin. Kyseessä on kehitystyö, jonka tilaajana toimii Itä-Suomen Muoto Ry. Konseptointia tuotetaan Design Triennale Kuopio –nimiselle tapahtumalle, joka tehdään yhteistyössä Itä-Suomen Muoto Ry:n, Rouvasväenyhdistyksen sekä Savonia-AMK:n kanssa.

Design Triennale Kuopio on kolmen vuoden välein järjestettävä tapahtuma, joka nimeensä viitaten järjestetään Kuopiossa. Kuopio on valikoitunut tapahtuman pääkaupungiksi, sillä siellä esiintyy paljon käsi- ja taideteollisuutta. Triennalella pyritään rohkaisemaan kansainväliseen ja monialaiseen toimintaan, jossa luodaan uusia innovaatioita. Samalla se toimii ponnahduslautana uusien yritysten ja kontaktien luomisessa. Työn tavoitteena on luoda tälle uudelle tapahtumalle konsepti, jotta tapahtuman suunnittelua voidaan viedä eteenpäin.

Työssä tapahtumalle luodaan visio, jonka pohjalle pystymme asettamaan uusia ajatuksia ja ideoita. Prosessin aikana järjestetään työpajoja. Näin kerätään materiaalia, mitä voidaan hyödyntää myöhemmin tapahtuman palvelupolun luomisessa, joka on osa konseptia. Tämän lisäksi palvelupolkua varten luodaan kohderyhmään sopivia profiileja, joiden avulla tarkastellaan, miten tapahtuman tarjoamaa palvelupolkua voidaan edetä.

Lopputuloksena on konsepti, joka sisältää palvelupolun profiileineen, sekä tiedon siitä, miten konseptia voitaisiin testata. Testausta ei voida suorittaa tässä opinnäytetyössä, mutta se käsitellään kuitenkin opinnäytetyön loppuosiossa. Itä-Suomen Muoto Ry tulee käyttämään tuloksia tapahtumantuotannossa yhteistyössä muiden kanssa. On mahdollista, että konseptia räätälöidään kaikille sopivaksi.

The topic of the present thesis is developing a concept for an event with service design tools. The client is Itä-Suomen Muoto Ry. Conceptualizing was produced for the Design Triennale Finland event, developed in collaboration with Itä-Suomen Muoto Ry, Rouvasväenyhdistys, and Savonia-AMK.

Design Triennale Kuopio is an event which will be held every three years. As indicated by its name, it will take place in Kuopio, Savo’s heart, which is a focal point for the industries of art and handicrafts. There is a nation-wide lack of co-operation between different players in these fields, which is why the aim of Design Triennale is to encourage people and companies to innovate and work together. The event works as a stepping stone for new innovations and companies.

The aim of the work presented in this study was to develop the vision for the event so that new ideas can spring up around it. During the process there were workshops to help the process of developing new ideas based on the vision. By this method material can be collected in order to help with the development of the service paths. The service paths were included in the concept. In addition to this, profiles that fit Design Triennale’s focus group were developed. The profiles help with the demonstration of service paths.

The end result is a concept which includes profiles with a service path and the information on how the concept testing could be executed. Testing the concept cannot be done in the frame of this thesis but it will be discussed in the conclusion of this thesis. Itä-Suomen Muoto Ry will use the concept in further development of Design Triennale Kuopio with the collaboration of other participants. It is possible that changes will be made to the concept in the future.
