Luontoreittien ja palveluntarjoajien kartoittaminen Yyterin alueella

Abstract

Tehtävänäni oli kartoittaa olemassa olevia luontoreittejä Yyterin matkailu- ja virkistys alueella Porissa. Pääpaino kohdistuu luontoreittien kartoittamiseen ja niiden lähellä sijaitseviin olennaisimpiin palveluntarjoajiin. Aihe on peräisin opinnäytetyön toimeksiantajalta Visit Pori Oy:ltä, joka vastaa Yyterin alueen kehittämisestä. Opinnäytetyö oli esivalmistelua Yyterin luontoreiteistä myöhemmin luotavaa karttaa varten.

Opinnäytetyöni tehtävänä oli luoda selvitys alueen luontoreiteistä. Opinnäytetyössä tavoitteena oli saada selkeämpi käsitys alueen luontoreiteistä. Tutkimuksen teoreettinen viitekehys koostui kokonaismatkailutuotteesta, luontomatkailusta, Outdoors Finlandin tuotesuosituksista vaellukselle sekä Suomen Ladun reittiluokittelusta. Parempi käsitys alueen luontoreiteistä saatiin teeahaastattelun sekä kohdennetun havainnoinnin avulla.

Työni perusteella saatiin selvitykset Yyterin alueen luontoreiteistä sekä reitteihin liittyvät kehitysehdotukset. Tutkimuksessa selvitettiin muun muassa reittien vetovoimaisuutta, saavutettavuutta, palveluntarjontaa, kohderyhmiä, opasteita sekä kehittämiskohtia.

The subject of this qualitative research was to survey nature trails and service providers in the tourism and recreation area of Yyteri in the city of Pori. The main focus of this work was nature trails and for the most essential service providers that are located near nature trails. This thesis was commissioned by Visit Pori Oy. The subject of this thesis was justified by the Visit Pori’s need to develop Yyteri area as tourism and recreation area. This work was preparation for the maps of the areas with nature trails which will be created later.

The goal was to get better understanding about the nature trails. The theoretical part of this thesis consists on Nature tourism, overall tourism product, Outdoors Finland program of route classifications and route classification criteria of Suomen Latu. Research methods used in thesis were theme interviews and targeted observation.

As a result, there were explanations and improvement suggestions which are related to nature trails. The research investigates nature trails attractiveness, accessibility, service offerings, target groups, guides and development proposals.
