Sähkösuunnittelutoimiston projektinhallinnan kehittäminen

Abstract

Kehittämistehtävän tutkimuskohteena oli sähkösuunnitteluun erikoistunut insinööritoimisto Yhtyneet Insinöörit oy. Kehittämistehtävän tavoitteena oli luoda yritykseen projektinhallintamenetelmä, jonka avulla voidaan selkeyttää, parantaa ja tehostaa projektin läpikulkua.

Kehittämistehtävä toteutettiin toimintatutkimuksena, ja tutkimuksessa käytettiin laadullisia tutkimusmenetelmiä ja -mittareita. Nykytila-analyysin jälkeen päätettiin, mitä toimenpiteitä projektinhallintaan tulisi tehdä.

Yrityksen projektitoimintaan luotiin uusi toimintamalli. Toimintamallissa projektin tehtävät ositettiin WBS-ositusmenetelmän avulla pienempiin tehtäviin, laadittiin tehtävien työmääräarviot sekä otettiin käyttöön Last Planner -tuotannonohjausmenetelmä.

Kehittämistehtävän tulokset osoittavat, että uuden toimintamallin myötä projektin aikatauluttaminen ja resursointi on selkeytynyt ja täsmentynyt sekä projektiryhmän viestintä on parantunut.

This development project was carried out for an engineering company specialized in electrical designing (Yhtyneet Insinöörit oy). The aim of the study was to create a project management method for the company to clarify, to improve and to enhance project performance.

The development project was conducted as an action research, and qualitative research methods and indicators were used. Following the current state analysis, the measures needed to improve project management were decided upon.

A new operating model was created for the company's project operations. In the model the tasks of the project were subdivided into smaller tasks through the WBS partitioning method, the work estimates were compiled, and the Last Planner production control method was introduced.

The results of the development project show that, owing to the new operating model, project scheduling and resourcing have been clarified and specified as well as the communication within the project group has improved.
