Teemarippikoulut - elämyksen vaikutus : Tutkimus teemarippikouluista Oulun ja Lapuan hiippakunnissa

Abstract

Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli tutkia, auttaako teemarippikoulujen teemallisuus rippikoululaisia heidän ryhmäytymisessään. Opinnäytetyön on hankkeistanut Oulun Hiippakunta.

Opinnäytetyön teoriaosassa käsiteltiin nuoren kasvua ja sen tukemista, sekä käytiin läpi rippikoulun historiaa sekä sen pedagogiikkaa. Tätä vertailtiin teemarippikoulujen pedagogiikkaan sekä niiden historiaan.

Tutkimus toteutettiin vuoden 2018 kesällä Oulun ja Lapuan hiippakuntien alueella järjestettävien teemarippikoulujen yhteydessä. Lisäksi tässä tutkimuksessa käytettiin vertailu-ryhmää Oulun hiippakunnan alueelta.

Tutkimuksessa esille tulleiden seikkojen mukaan on oletettavaa, että teemarippikouluissa nuoret ryhmäytyvät paremmin ja saavat enemmän ystäviä kuin vertailtavana olleilla perinteisillä rippikouluissa olleet nuoret. Samalla tuli esille, että nuoret kokevat päässeensä vai-kuttamaan enemmän teemarippikouluilla, vaikkakin ohjaajien vastauksissa esiin tullut vaihtelevuus oli marginaalista.

The object of my thesis was to study if the theme in themed confirmation schools helps the candidates for confirmation in their bonding as a group. This thesis was commissioned by the diocese of Oulu.

In the theory part of my thesis I address the growth in the youths psyche and ways to nurture them. Also I address the history of confirmation schools and their pedagogy, this was compared to the history of themed confirmation schools and their pedagogy.

This study was put into practise in the summer of 2018 in themed confirmation schools that were held in both the diocese of Oulu and Lapua. As the control group in this study a traditional confirmation school was used from the diocese of Oulu.

From the results of this study one can assume that in themed confirmation schools the cadidates bonded better as a group and as a result they acquired more friends than the control group. Also the results of this study indicate that the youth from these themed confirmation schools felt that they were more involved with planning their confirmation camps, even though from the answers of their teachers the difference to the control group was marginal.
