Aivoinfarktin epäily ja hoito ensihoidossa : Itseopiskelumateriaalin kehittäminen ensihoitajaopiskelijoille

Abstract

Aivoinfarktin epäileminen ja oireiden tunnistaminen ensihoidossa ovat tärkeitä potilaan nopean hoidon aloituksen kannalta. Aivoinfarktipotilaat hoidetaan joko liuotushoidolla, mekaanisella trombektomialla tai konservatiivisesti. Liuotushoitoon soveltuvan potilaan tunnistaminen ja nopea kuljetus lopulliseen hoitopaikkaan ovat ensihoidon prioriteetteja.

Tämän opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena on kuvata aivoinfarktin epäilyä, aivoinfarktipotilaan hoitoa ensihoidossa ja sairaalassa toteutettavia hoitomuotoja. Tarkoituksena on myös kehittää aivoinfarktipotilaan hoitotyön osaamista tukeva itseopiskelumateriaali ensihoitajaopiskelijoille. Tavoitteena tässä opinnäytetyössä on kehittää ensihoidon opiskelijoiden osaamista aivoinfarktin epäilemisessä ja hoidossa.

Opinnäytetyö on toteutettu kahdessa osassa. Ensimmäisessä osassa on tehty kirjallisuuskatsaus aiheesta löytyvään tutkimustietoon. Kirjallisuuskatsaus käsittelee aivojen rakennetta ja toimintaa, aivoinfarktin epäilyä ensihoidossa ja aivoinfarktipotilaan hoitoa. Toisessa osassa on kehitetty itseopiskelumateriaalia Moodle-ympäristöön yhdessä ensihoidon tutkinto-ohjelman kanssa.

Opinnäytetyön tuotoksena on Moodle-alustalle kehitetty itseopiskelumateriaali, johon sisältyy itseopiskeltavaa materiaalia ja testi, jolla opiskelijat voivat testata omaa osaamistaan.

Jatkossa toivoisimme tutkimusta aivoinfarktipotilaan hoitoonpääsyä nopeuttavista tekijöistä. Jatkokehittämisessä voitaisiin huomioida kohteeseen ennakkoon soittamisen merkitys ensihoidon nopeudelle kohteessa.

Suspecting a stroke and recognising the symptoms of a stroke in Emergency Care Services are vital for the rapid start of patient’s treatment. Stroke patients are either treated with thrombolysis, by mechanical thrombectomy or conservatively. Recognition of a patient, who is qualified for thrombolysis and transferring them as fast as possible to the final place of treatment, are priorities in the Emergency Care Services.

The purpose of this final project is to describe suspecting a stroke, treating the stroke patient in the Emergency Care Services and the treatments provided in a hospital. The purpose is also to develop a learning material for Emergency Care students.

The aim of this final project is to improve professional skills and knowledge of Emergency Care students in the area of suspecting and treating a stroke.

This final project is a functional final project. It has been implemented in two parts. During the first part a literature review has been made using research articles that cover the topic. The written part of the project addresses functions and structure of the brain, suspecting a stroke and treating it. The second part of the project is study materials that have been developed on the Moodle- learning environment in co-operation with the degree of Emergency Care Nursing.

The result of this final project is the study material made for the Moodle- learning environment. The material includes self-study materials and a test, that Emergency Care students can use to test their skills and knowledge of suspecting and treating a stroke.

In future final projects, it would be beneficial to study which factors can affect the timely treatment of a suspected stroke patient. It would also be beneficial to further study how calling the on-scene in advance could speed up transportation and starting the treatment of a suspected stroke patient.
