Perheväkivallan ennaltaehkäisy sairaanhoitajan näkökulmasta

Abstract

Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli kuvata perheväkivallan ennaltaehkäisyä sairaanhoitajan näkökulmasta ja perheväkivallan ennakoivia merkkejä, ilmiön yleisyyttä ja tunnistettavuutta. Näiden lisäksi kuvattiin terveydenhuollon ammattilaisen käytänteitä työssään huomioida mahdollista perheväkivallan ilmenemistä auttaa ja kannustaa uhria hakemaan apua. Haastatteluja tehtiin kolmen sairaanhoitopiirin alueella sellaisissa yksiköissä, joissa ei mahdollisesti esiintynyt perheväkivaltaa. Tutkimusaihe saatiin vaasalaiselta yritykseltä Ditekt Oy Ab:ltä. Tutkimuksen teoreettinen viitekehys kuvaa perheväkivaltaa miehen harjoittamana naista kohtaan. Ilmiötä kuvataan lain, väkivallan seurausten ja sen yleisyyden mukaan. Kirjallisten lähteiden lisäksi aineistonkeruumenetelmänä oli avoin sairaanhoitajille suunnattu teemahaastattelu. Kirjallisten lähteiden perusteella ennaltaehkäiseviä hankkeita ja tutkimuksia on tehty aiheesta. Kunnille on laadittu suosituksia perheväkivallan ennaltaehkäisystä mm. YK:n taholta. Haastattelujen mukaan perheväkivallan ennaltaehkäisystä ja sen kohtaamisesta hoitotyössä ei ollut koulutusta eikä valmiita toimintamalleja. Tämä on indikaatio tutkimuksen jatkokehittämiselle.

The purpose of the study was to describe the prevention of domestic violence from the nurse´s point of view and the warning signs and signals, the prevalence and the recognition of the phenomenon. Also practices how the healthcare professional can identify the occurrence of possible domestic violence were described to help and encourage the victim to seek help. The interviews were conducted in three hospital districts in units that might not have had domestic violence. The research topic was received from a Vasa-based company Ditekt Oy Ab. The theoretical framework of the study describes domestic violence as violent behaviour of a male person towards a woman. The phenomenon is described by explaining the legislation, the consequences of violence and its frequency. In addition to the written sources, also an open theme interview method with nurses was used in data collection. Based on written sources, preventive projects and studies have been carried out before on the topic. Recommendations have been made for municipalities to prevent domestic violence for example by the United Nations. According to the interviews, there was no training or ready-made operating models for preventing and dealing with domestic violence in nursing. This was an indication for further developing the research on the topic
