Tiivistelmä
Tämän opinnäytetyön aiheena on pakolaistaustaisille maahanmuuttajille suunnatun sosiaalisen kuntoutuksen hyvät käytännöt. Opinnäytetyön toimeksiantajana toimi Jyväskylän kaupungin kotouttamispalveluiden Kotoisa-hanke. Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli lisätä tietoa siitä, mistä osallisuutta tukevat sosiaalisen kuntoutuksen hyvät käytännöt muodostuvat, ja tämän tiedon avulla kehittää sosiaalista kuntoutusta pakolaistaustaisille maahanmuuttajille. Tavoitteena oli kuvata asiakasryhmän kokemuksia osallisuutta tukevista sosiaalisen kuntoutuksen hyvistä käytännöistä.
Tutkimus toteutui kvalitatiivisena tutkimuksena.
The topic of the thesis is Good practices of social rehabilitation with refugee-based immigrants. The assignor of the thesis was the Kotoisa project from the City of Jyväskylä Integration Services. The purpose of the thesis was to raise awareness of the benefits of good social rehabilitation practices that support participation and with this knowledge develop social rehabilitation practices for refugee-based immigrants. The aim was to describe the client group’s experiences of good practices in social rehabilitation which support participation.
The study had a qualitative research approach. The data collection method was theme interview, and there were nine interviewees. The data consisted of one group interview and four individual interviews. The data was analysed by using theoretical content analysis, and the key concepts were social rehabilitation and participation.
Based on the results, the good practices of social rehabilitation that were highlighted from the point of view of participation were learning, guidance and interaction. Individuality of the content of rehabilitation and the client’s own influence on rehabilitation in its different stages were seen important. Linguistic and cultural aspects that support integration were felt to be relevant for participation. The study showed that from the point of view of the client group, it is important to consider the various factors supporting integration in social rehabilitation.
The most significant development targets highlighted by the study were the customization of the content and structures of the groups by considering the participants’ level of knowledge and goals. In addition, the clients’ opportunities of influence should be increased at all stages of social rehabilitation.
